Randy Meisner has an amazing voice my God what was missing that he did not succeed solo. He was the best voice of the Eagles and not even had the oportunity to reunite with them back in the 90"s. Hope he is in good health.

Yep they were so lucky, and he wasn't. He deserved a kind loving wife, he was a total package. For someone so humble and kind, the poor guy ended up with a wife who wasn't good to him at all.

Surprisingly, he didn't perform "Deep Inside My Heat", for at the time it was in it's first of two weeks at position #22 on Billboard's Top 100 chart, and that would also be it's peaked position on the chart... The following month on January 18th, 1981, "Hearts On Fire" entered the Top 100 at position #65, seven weeks later it would peak at #19 {for 3 weeks} and it spent fifteen weeks on the Top 100... Besides "Deep Inside My Heart" and "Hearts On Fire", he had one other Top 100 record, "Never Been In Love", it reached #28 {for 3 weeks} on September 22nd, 1982... Randall Herman Meisner will celebrate his 73rd birthday in three months on March 8th, 2019...

I had heard that any support for his solo albums and career was hamstrung by Irving Azoff himself to the point where when there was a confrontation about the matter, a very difficult thing for Randy, there ended up being some sort of physical confrontation with Azoff. I don't know if it was that serious. After Randy left the Eagles, I was surprised at the lack of information that came out. I realize we were not in the same "information age" we are now, but it was controlled to point of an obvious suppression. Nowadays a guy could lawyer up and go after someone like Azoff, but back then the man was feared, just as he is today, messing with his other big client and the "firing" of Lindsey Buckingham. I loved Randy Meisner and thought, Think the world of him despite all of the tough times he has gone through. I guy like that is an inspiration. Taking nothing away at all from Timothy Schmitt, had I been him, I would have done the same thing and jumped at the chance to be in the Eagles...he is another class act as well.
