    Surely you should recheck the level of new oil after running the motor a few minutes as the new oil will have refilled the filter housing and lowered the dipstick level?

  • @pietrobernini4471
    @pietrobernini4471 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    You should put a certain amount of new oil in the filter container to prevent the bushes from working without pressurized oil when starting.

    Great video I have a question when you change the oil filter after you drained the oil why the cartridge of the filter still has oil in it is there some type of valve that controls oil for lifters?

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most filters have some sort of check valve to stop the oil draining out of the filter so the engine gets oil immediately when you start it.

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It should be fine but It's not recommended to mix different types of oil (syntethic with mineral oil etc.). I would advise draining the oil and filling it up entirely using one type of oil.

    Dopo aver visto il tuo video ho acquistato il filtro per cambiarlo, lo dovuto restituire perchè non adatto alla mia Peugeot 206 1.1 del 2001, dovresti specificare il tipo di motore su cui hai effettuato il cambio d'olio, il mio sul libretto ha la sigla (P.5) HFX e (D.1) Peugeot 2CHFXF, infatti l'asta per misurare l'olio è a sinistra non è come la tua del video.

    Hi, do you know the position of oil level sensor for 206?

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's usually down at the bottom left of the oil filter housing. It could be obscured by another sensor wiring and it can be hard to see if it's covered in oil and dirt.

    This kind of filters are stupidest. Best filters are those, places on down part of engine, when you unscrew, it doesnt drop on your engine. This shit will make mess. closed metal filters are much better than this replaceable shit. French never made a car, thats simple to maintain.
