Hello! I'm Brazilian. BRIGADEIRO is a dessert from Brazil invented around 50's. With it we make little balls for birthdays and cakes. We have BRIGADEIRO CAKE with dark chocolate and BRIGADEIRO CAKE with white chocolate. And we have BRIGADEIRO PIZZA too. Anyway we do many things with brigadeiro.

I believe you watch some video from any country who speaks Spanish and you thought it was a dessert from any Spanish language country BUT IT'S NOT. Brigadeiro is a Brazilian dessert and we speak Portuguese.

They can’t be in Spanish because it’s a Brazilian recipe, so they are in Portuguese. This recipe is wrong. Brigadeiro is made using condensed milk, chocolate/cocoa powder, and butter.

@@walquirya my bad I meant Portuguese n it may be ‘wrong’ but that’s ok. If I ever enter a contest or have to represent the dish then I will check for the ‘correct’ recipe.

Not about technicalities but origin. It’s the same thing to say that S’mores is a German sweet.

Have you ever taste BOLO DE ROLO (Brazilian Rolled Cake)? Original from Northeast Brazil, Pernambuco State, city of RECIFE. Another one is BOLO DE CENOURA (Brazilian carrot cake) far away different from USA carrot cake. Try them you'll love them!

In your thumbnail we can see the word NINHO that's a Brazilian mark. BRIGADEIRO is a Brazilian sweet dessert. With it we do too many things: PIZZAS, CAKES, MOUSSES, ICE CREAMS, and so on.

Hi Sendi! Brigadeiro is really a Brazilian dessert invented in middle 50's. In fact it is a sweet for us. We use it most in birthdays as little balls. But since 80's it's used to baked cakes, mousse, biscuits, pizzas and so on.

You don’t need sour cream you can just use condensed milk and butter, milk power or if you want you can use cocoa poder or any kind a chocolate in powder. Coming from a Brazilian w experience. 🤗🤗

There is no sour cream in Brigadeiros. Brigadeiro is a Brazilian dessert and we don’t even have sour cream in Brazil. For brigadeiros you need condensed milk, chocolate/cocoa powder ou even a chocolate bar, butter and whipped cream which is optional but it helps to make it more creamy and less sweet. These are the ingredients you need. No sour cream.

the recipe is wrong. There are other videos with the original recipe which is with condensed milk, butter, chocolate/cocoa powder, and whipped cream which is optional. You can keep it in the fridge or at room temperature. I prefer at room temperature as it makes it more creamy.
