    This video highlights the simple, straightforward installation of Diode Dynamics SLF LED Fog Light Bulbs for the 2014-2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Just like our SL1 LED Headlight Bulbs, our H11-size SLF LED Fog Light Bulbs provide FAR more usable light output than your Grand Cherokee's stock halogen bulbs.
    Additionally, you can choose from a fresh 6000K cool white, or a unique 3000K pure yellow. The SLF is a true plug-and-play upgrade, and requires NO modification!
    We proudly engineer and manufacture the SLF in the USA, and back it with our 3-year worry-free warranty. Email us with any questions at contact@diodedynamics.com or call 314-205-3033. Thanks for watching!

    So you detach the fender liner a little to show the process but it's too dark to see anything anyway...

    Is it ok for the ballast to dangle off the bulb? Will it be constantly swaying and cause fatigue where it connects to the LED housing? Thx!

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is perfectly okay for the LED driver on the bulb to hang off the end. If you would like, you can always use some zip ties to secure it out of the way as well.

    Anything special need to be done to change them from underneath instead of through the side like you did in the video? I have a 2021 model and looking to change out the fog lights to led

      You may be able to remove the splash guard at the bottom of the bumper to access the back of the fog light housing.

      Hey Jimmy - while we do not have any need for a Grand Cherokee right now for testing, we will be sure to reach out in the event that changes. Thanks!

    I'd sure like to know how you "just reach up from the bottom"...everything is sealed under there too. It would have been nice if they just engineered a second round twist-off door like there is for the headlight bulb access.

      I cut my own hole. Outlined where I would cut. Drilled a hole in the middle and screwed a sheet medal screw in sticking out about an inch. Then did the same to the other side. once cut out just grab the screw and pull out the piece of plastic. Staring at the back of the light assembly and just reach in and take out the bulb and replace it. Do the same on the other side before closing up the hole test the lights to make sure they both work. Now what I did was use Adhesive Silicone, put it all around the edge of the hole and then on the cut out piece. Grab it by the screw I put in the center. Push the piece into the hole and just hold for a minute or two. Make sure that it is set up and won't slide. Now I went to the other side and did the same thing. I took a 5 minute or so coffee break giving it time to set up . After a coffee break I looked at the side I did first. I unscrewed the screw and put some silicone in the hole and same on the other side. Seriously how often do you have to change fog light bulbs. If you do then that piece will come out 1 2 3 . Still trying to figure headlights high and low. Hope this helped someone

    Do you need to turn the collar for the fog lights??

    • @diodedynamics

      Collar adjustment is not required for the fogs. Thanks!

    Can you adjust the fog lights up and/or down?

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you should be able to adjust the housing up and down on the back of the foglight housing. This should be a factory feature.

    I have installed T30 Canbus H11 LED Fog Lights on my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. They work fine for 5 mins then they automatically switch off. If i switch off my car and start it again they work perfectly fine for 5 mins or so. Any idea why that is happening?

    I have a 2015 Grand Cherokee Overland and looking to upgrade the H11 fog lights to match headlights. I’m on the fence between the SLF or SL1 options in bright white. I need the brightness for night driving but don’t want to blind other drivers. Will the SL1 be too bright? Which bulb choice matches the brightness of the stock fog bulbs? Thanks

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Jeremy! Both options will be much brighter than stock! For our fog location, we would recommend our H11 SLF. These are designed similarly to our SL1, but made specifically for fog light replacements! We would recommend our 6000K cool white color option if you are looking for a closer match to your headlights!

      Diode Dynamics thanks for the quick reply. Will I need the anti flicker module for my 2015 grand Cherokee? On the install video it doesn’t seem to mention or show it being needed?

    • @diodedynamics
      @diodedynamics  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lunadog7784 You will need an anti-flicker module. You can find them in the same listing for the SLFs!
