I have one of those. Depending on the site some say it’s fine and say some say don’t do it. It’s only good for 6 months and you have to throw away the diesel and tank. I’m gonna give it a go. Mine will sit for a while. I believe it’s hdpe. I’m going to add a filter for debris and water.

Its all a conspiracy by big fuel tank! They tell you not to make your own solutions so they can charge you overpriced products!
Joking. But I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.
