it takes passion to go levels deeper, beyond the surface controls of using Logic Pro. Jono i will always be your #1 fan. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with us. God richly bless you. You are simply amazing.
Jono! This is glorious! Omg, this whole tutorial blew my mind. You are an excellent teacher. I have watched it at least 5 times trying to absorb everything. The final result is just jaw dropping. After about the second play through, I decided to follow your tutorial step-by-step and recreate it on my own. I have taken some liberties with it and made it my own by recording bass, guitar, and drums for it. I just want to know if I can publish it. I don't want to break any copyright laws and would love to have your blessing.
Pretty much every time I watch a Jono Buchanan video I realize I’ve been driving Logic Pro around like I’m driving a Vespa. (A scooter.) 🛵 And Jono goes, Hold on a sec! And he lifts the hood, and shows me I’m actually driving a Ferrari. 🏎 ha ha. Its really amazing. And I mean thats often the case. I find myself going, Oh my God, you can do THAT? So thanks Jono. Loving the material, the lessons. And the humour. Much appreciated!
Jono, I’m still here! All it needs now is some lyrics! “We met in the park. She stayed til after dark. I knew in heart That this was just the start…” There you go! Great stuff as always, Gianni❤
Great to see you having the craic Jono! Apart from the music stuff (which is always interesting and creative), I always enjoy a good superlative adjective like 'Glorious' :)
Fantastic video, Jono Buchanan! Everytime I thought the teaching was complete, there was MORE (that's a good thing)! Started off with William Orbit sublimity and ended with "Confessions On a Dance Floor" brilliance. It was nice to see you in your creative element. Thank you for sharing some really valuable and useful creative and practical knowledge! This vid is a chock-full gem!
Brilliant Video Jono... Maybe if more folk did not buy Plugins to try & make things easier... This would be a more creative idea to do just that !!! Brilliant !!!
Hi Ivar. I've added spatial effects around 21:42. When pads are 'only' sustained, Delay has a very subtle effect, as you're adding echoes to something which is already playing. But once the Pads are Gated and have effectively become rhythmic stabs, those echoes will become more obvious, blurring the gaps between slices a little more. I hope that answers your question.

Jono, damm right I’m watching the right channel! This is glorious, love what you created there… and the infectious enthusiasm. Awesome 🙏🏼

Jono thank you for your genius, you are a natural born teacher and artist and you inspire the artist in me 🎉
Thank you so much - that’s extremely generous and hugely appreciated.
Really useful tips! Really love how everything sounds together on your track. Thanks for sharing ;-)
You're welcome. Thanks so much.
So many ideas to mine here, thank you. I’d be keen to hear you discuss the process for creating those drums, too!
Thanks and, absolutely, I’ll add a video about this kind of drum chopping/programming to the list. Thanks for suggesting it.

Kind words, Jimmy. Thanks so much. Vespas are super-fun too, so not by any means a bad mode of transport to zip around Logic-world!

Welcome!
AKA Jon Hopkins, the tutorial.
Fantastic video - didn't really understand side chaining stuff before, definitely going to give that a go!
Thanks so much - have fun with it!
@@jonobuchananmusic Can report back that I've had some really nice success with this technique - thanks again!
Thanks!
I can’t thank you enough. 🙏
Great again, Jono!

Cheers Donnie!
Very cool!
Thanks David.
Makes me proud to wear pads after too much soup. Love these creative ideas. Thank you
Pads are soup-er. On that, I think we both agree. 😉
Wow! That was astonishing, thank you 👍
Thanks so much, Peter.

Thanks so much, John. I hope all's great with you.
-10dB of side chained compression? What a hero! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I always say… if you’re going to do a thing, do it properly!
Seeing that my music right now is heavily based on juicy 90s pads and rave stabs this is a must watch 😂🎉
Ah, perfect! Glad it was helpful. 👍

how will this act with use of delay?
