- A collection of cartoon intros of the 80's
What cartoon show is your favorite on the list?
Mask
Silverhawks
Tigersharks
SkyCommanders
Bravestarr
Centaurions
Rambo
Inhumanoids
Disclaimer: I don't own the videos, credits to the respective owners.
35 years later and Bravestar still looks badass, especially compared to today's cartoons
..i had the toys
Dont forget Silverhawks ! Partly metal partly real 🤘🏽
Badass as he might be, BraveStarr is closer to 40 years old. Just saying.1987.
of course not!
Everyone gangsta until the horse stands up on its hind legs and start shooting. That's when it gets real.
Awesome list man!!! Only a few of these were aired in my country, sadly. 🇵🇭
I think All of them were aired in Philippines.
Ya all of them aired in the Philippines
Rambo goes through a glass window of an office building without a shirt but goes skiing with a cut off sleave sweatshirt hoodie. Sounds about right.
That’s what you call a certified bad mutha fucker!
Because he is Rambo 😁
The guy is like Chuck Norris in cartoons ahahah
and not a single cut on him afterwards.
Its an 80s cartoon...are you really trying tp apply Logic here?
@@Tommieboy2009 you mean like the silverhawks somehow survive in space??
This video should have included Thundercats, Defenders of the Earth, and Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. Some of the best intro tracks ever!
And let's not forget Voltron!! I just turned 59 so most of these were made for kids and not someone like me that had already started college. But as a kid and teenager that grew up loving Looney Tunes, I wanted to see what else was out there and found a few favs: Voltron, Thundercats, and Silverhawks.
The fact that no one in this chat has mentioned the absence of "Galaxy Rangers" in this video has me questioning my existence.
@@hbsub fear not my 80's brethren. I came for this exact comment.
To be fair we'd be watching a video for a month because the 80's and 90's were the golden age of animation and pretty much 95% of the series made during that time were awesome and had equal badass intro's not just those (you forgot Bots Master btw lol)
don't forget : he-man, dino saurces, captain planet, mighty orbot
Miss those days when toy commercials were 20-25 min long. 🤣
mask hit 40 years this year oh the memories
Oh man, Centurions, I remember watching that show when I was a kid
Good times
I always say the centurions are the kind-a-cartoon version of Captain power and the soldiers of the future, last one beeing just epic and worthy of a 2024 non message remake!
I haven’t thought about Silverhawks for over 30 years! Oh the nostalgia!
Me either but now, as an adult i have to wonder, what were the wings for .. in space .. :-s
Space cowboy playing a guitar solo in space is the best repentation of my 80's childhood. Man I loved Silverhawks.
My goodness, I remember watching some of these cartoons on Saturday mornings. Time flies when you’re having fun!
Guys and gals, we are getting older and the comment section only confirms it lol.
Holy crap that Silver Hawks themesong is next level!
Man, the Centurions' theme never gets old
becoming man and machine...power exteme.
92-93 would come home from grade school to watch this during the early years of CN and Botz Master on UPN.
This video is not long enough nof great 80's cartoons. But still awesome!
Thank to this video I've finally identified my buried childhood memory of Tigersharks 🙂
I'm almost 40 years old but I still have a Bravestar lunchbox at my Grandma's house back home. I atayed with that thing in kindergarten.
I'd at least heard of most of these shows, but Tigersharks... that's a new one
I remember every show on this list!
Just shows we all was blessed being an 80's kid:-))
Brings back some memories and some I've never heard of before
A couple bangers your missing that were more obscure are Spiral Zone and Dinosausers. Those intros are so good. Also gotta have GI Joe, Transformers and He-Man in any 80's into compilation.
@@anthonyrschmitz5182 thanks for your comment. I'll check on the Spiral Zone and Dinosausers. Never heard of it. I already uploaded G.I. Joe and He-man except for the Transformers.
Some of the best saturday morning cartoons ever released were released in the 1980s.
Silverhawks had the BEST Intro EVER!
Holy crap this takes me back, what a time to be alive.
Brought back good memories, thank you❤
@@hottoddie3573 comments like this makes me upload moke videos like this. Appreciate it.
MASK IS AWESOME
Muh Muh Muh Muh MASK!
Not that you're biased or anything, right? ;)
mask was one on my favourites, that and Jayce had the best theme songs, Thundercats too
I remember having the sky commander toys as a kid . 80s cartoons are epic
Centurions was one of my things back than man but even though I couldn't tell back than now I can tell why Tigersharks and SilverHawks were some of my favorite cartoons ....it's cause they were made by my favorite Animators Rankin/Bass....Inhumanoids though I remember watching the movie some years ago and thought it was only that didn't know it had a one season series
Hand drawn cartoons looks so much better
so many thundercats clones that were released were amazing )
even though i didnt think of it back then :)
Visionaries was a banger of a cartoon
Would make a good movie, if done right.
agreed
So glad you included Silver Hawks. I loved them, and the theme song, and never hear about them
Never heard of them, but I wish I did…! 😅
@HighlandPhoenix I don't think I've seen the show available somewhere. I don't think it held up well, but kid me thought it was neat. Their leader was in the style of a 50s detective. I loved their look and style
not only the animation was superb but also the opening and closing themes of this cartoons also rocks
The opening and closing animations were superb, not quite so in the episodes.
Damn I loved MASK. I had the car and it was my favorite toy for a long time.
Awesome! OMG! My entire childhood!
Sky commander
Challenge of the gobots
And
Centurions I used to watched the Sunday afternoon when I was in highschool
I'm glad you didn't add the usuals of gi joe, transformers and such. The only two missing for me were Visionaries and King Arthur and the knights of justice.
Amazing intros. They sure took me back.
Insane quality intros 😢
Beautiful.
Brought back memories
Don't remember a good few of these, as such, there were plenty of great cartoons from that era. Bravestarr would be a great live action film. Shows like wheeled warriors and Ulysses are untouched by any cartoons of today.
I'm surprised I still know all of these cartoons. You can never erase good memories from childhood.
I still have a bunch of these toys. Mask and Rambo. Lots of Starcom stuff.
Brings back so many memories. Is it just me or was the cartoons of the 80's so much cooler than today's?
I'm with you on that perspective
Watching this makes me sad a little. Life was just so different back then.
I hadn't heard of a few of these before this video. Tigersharks and Inhumanoid stand out specifically.
Centurions next level, they should go to the big time on the big screen! 🎬🎥 #Hollywood #Movies #Action #Centurions #BigScreen
50 year old here…
Inhumanoids was a pretty scary and frankly gross cartoon for kids.
Loved it SO much…
Would make a great live action horror monster movie, if done right.
I remember these intros, except for the sky commanders cartoon because that didn’t air here on tv, and I have only seen like three or four of those on daily motion online💁🏻♂.
MASK is my favorite, but even by cartoon standards that show was non stop logical problems.
I am old and I've seen a lot of intros but in this video are some cartoons I've never heard of
I just bought Jake Rockwell and Ace McCloud with Sky Knight and Sky Bolt / Wild Weasel (my favorite)Hornet, and his default weapons system. Wasn’t cheap, let me tell ya.
Everything was better in the 80' especially the cartoons.
That's because you were a kid
The thing is... back then, most of the cartoons were mostly average. Some were better, some were bad. As a grown up, i watched some old He-Man episodes and only noticed it today, that only the character moves most of the time, but the background didn't. Most of the shows were produced, to sell the toys. But back in the 80's producers knew, that the one thing, that kids will stay at the TV, if the shows have a intro, that stucks in the head.
And THAT is a thing, that i miss in modern cartoons
Yes jayce and wheel warrior's was my favorite
Visionaries was a banger, too
In Italy we saw Mask and Centurions, I loved both
Great selection homie 🍻
WGN afternoons was the place to catch alot of these. As long as cubs wasn't playing.
Can we just go back to the 80s pls and try it all again x
Great job on the video.
@@ameliawarfield5637 thanks for comment! I greatly appreciate it.
@triviajet9955 You're welcome.
I just wish these shows had lived up to the production values of their intros!
Fr these ops are mad bad ass
Mighty Orbots !! That was a great intro.
Ah the 80's back when cartoon awesomeness was the rule rather then the exception.
If they played the theme songs for every cartoon from the 80's it would probably be at least an hour long 😂
This touches my innersoul ...thanks 4 this...Kiss From rex in germania
I was born 2001 but hear me out instead of remaking great movies with shittier versions we remake these shows into live action movies.
I've been wanting a live action Robotech movie for almost 40 years now...
Harmony gold owns that property and they sit on it knowing that fans would like to adapt it into a movie, but since they are not into entertainment anymore they just keep on lockdown! Robotech is just adapted for the American audience! They could still do macross!
No. Absolutely NO!!!!!! Modern Hollywood would ruin them beyond imagining!!!!!!
@@mrpj1390 I don’t know man yes we’ve had a few stinkers but with the technology we have now think of the possibilities.
Hear me out, how about we remake these cartoons into something else than a glorified toy commercial, animated by starving Korean kids under Floridian Disneyland?
Brave starr needs a movie! But a poster series to tease it! Each animal and then "champion of justice....." as the last one!
Well. They all should meet and United together.
Great video, i would add just Saber rider.
thanks for the comment dude. I gotcha!
That shocked dog at 6:33 might be the most brilliantly random thing I've seen in years. It's absolutely cracking me up right now.
The quality of the animation is awesome.
I agree.... but with new technologies.. I wonder why has the quality of animation in today's cartoons are not upto par with the 80s
@@titu600 Over reliance on CGI and budgeting has stifled talent.
Inhumanoids theme was always hilarious to me. 😂🤣
You forgot the most iconic show of the 80s, that also turned 40, Transformers
@@Rosewolf29 thanks for your comment. I'll upload the video soon.
@@triviajet9955 XDI didn't think my comment would be seen, thanks for that. there's so many good shows for the 80s, Transformers is just my favorite.
Wow we had a lot of action pack cartoons back in the 80's
No TMNT, Transformers, or G.I. Joe?
Definitely need to add Go-Bots, Thundercats, He-Man, She-Ra, G.I. Joe, Transformers....just to name a few....Thundar the Barbarian..
thanks for comment dude! I already uploaded Thundercats, He-man, She-ra and G.I. Joe. Go check it out. I'll upload more next time.
So blessed... been the 80s generation
Remember half of these shows. They on DVD?
All of these but Sky Commanders and Brave Starr were animated by Japanese studios back in the day. For Sky Commanders it was a joint Hanna-Barbera (US) and Toie Animation (Japan) venture. Brave Starr was done fully in the US by Filmation and Group W Productions (according to wikipedia).
Not sure about the Rambo cartoon.
Bravestarr it's not everyday you see a horse with a shotgun 😂 i loved the centurions and rambo was awesome.
Centurions and mask were the best.
Nothing beats The Centurions!!!
Rambo and Robocop were such bizarre options for kids cartoon. I mean in one way I can see it, but in the other point of view, the movies exist.
they exist a cartoon of the toxid avenger. a B horror movie of a nerd that after dipped in toxid waste take DEATHLY revenge on his school, collage bullys. and murder one by one.
by that i was still suprice they did not exist a EVIL death cartoon
I always thought that Silver Hawks was loosely based on Battle of the Planets.
Cannot beat those cartoons
Cartoons with sense, that's why our era so intelligent
Generation X, we had the best cartoons, a PSA at the end of each episode!!!!
Centurion was a great cartoon 👍 1980's
man I miss my childhood now
MASK always looked like a GI Joe and Transformers combination
Great video, should have added Thundercats and The Defenders of the Earth as well.
thanks for the comment dude. I just added Thundercats. Go check it out. I'll upload more next time.
@triviajet9955 thanks for the update, I will do so for sure.
Christ, I rediscovered Centurions
I miss all of this
Thank you sir!
Good Times! Needs Thundercats and Bionic 6 though.
thanks for the comment dude. I just uploaded Thundercats. Go check it out. Bionic 6 will be next.
All of them are amazing, now we just get crap void of spirit .
I’m in my 40s and I can honestly say I’ve never heard of tiger sharks
I believe it was part of the Comic Strip cartoon which included Karate Kat and 2 other cartoons. They each had like a 15 min slot
2:57 - someone thought this was going to make money. God, I love the 80s!!!
Cartoon's during the Reagan years. You know I love em.
Where’s thundercats, he-man, TMNT, ghostbusters etc?
thanks for the comment dude. I just added Thundercats and He-man. Go check it out. Next will be Ghostbusters and TMNT.
@ That’s fantastic!
Con la tecnología de hoy en día sería fantástico una película de los Alcones galácticos !! Esos trajes están full
