@Christopher Hogan , yeah, there are so many possibilities. Presto probably didn't have a family that he's close to or he probably thinks that when he becomes a full fledge wizard, he will be able to open a portal back to Earth on his own. If you have seen Brazil's Renault Kwid advertising, Presto looks like some one very familiar. He looks like Harry Potter right? We do not know Presto's real name. This made me tear up so much. Me and my mom loved watching D&D when I went as a kid and we’d dress up the part. I’d have my little bow and arrows and my mom dyed a sheet the same color as Shelia’s cloak. My dad would walk by when she was wearing it and standing next to her ask me where she was, I always told him I couldn’t see her she’s invisible. About 5 years after the “final” episode aired she died of a massive heart attack I just watched the true final episode and in my minds eye I was a kid again watching D&D with my mom. Thank you so much for making this
I've just watched it today for the 1st time after all these year's and I feel the same way about my dad. He used to watch it with us and sadly he's not alive anymore. I wish i could pick up the phone, call him, and tell him all about it. I've finally got closure to one of my favourite childhood cartoons

After 40 years I finally get to see them make it home it's a joy thanks .. I've never missed an episode when I was a child watching this on Saturday was and always be my favorite ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I'm 19 but grew up watching this show on DVDs. I'm now making a custom map for a fellow fan of all the adventures from this show. Thank you for this. I cried for finally being able to see the finale.
I'm 53 and today I finally have closure on what happened in this series. Bravo. That was great. I actually feel a bit choked up which I'm not sure why, but I do. Thank you for this.
I'm from Brazil and this cartoon was a big hit here, I mean HUGE hit! Pretty much like He-Man, She-ra and Thundercats. It aired daily for years. We would watch each episode over and over again and never got tired of 'Caverna do Dragão' (Dragon's Cave in English, its title here). I believe it was even bigger here than it was in US (the video with the version of this dubbed in Brazilian Portuguese has more than 2 millions views.) These characters are very dear to us, so finally being able to watch the final episode is like a dream come true. Thank you so much for this! You guys did a wonderful job! 🤩😍
Not to long ago I found the complete series of Dungeons and Dragons at my local flea market many moons ago. It was only $5 and I knew the moment I picked it up that my life would change forever. I watched the entire series back to back and was struck with sadness as there was no conclusion to the show, learning of its cancellation afterwards. I even listen and read the comic of the last episode Requiem, but your piece of work is what gave me the closure I truly needed. Finally I can close the book on this wonderful show and I only wish I was born earlier to see it on Saturday morning cartoons back in the day. Dungeons and Dragons have been a new staple into my family recently. We've began to play almost once a week with new stories and adventures, I even run as the Dungeon Master!! But forevermore I will hold onto these adventures close to my heart, both my family and this Show. Thank you for making this possible.
As you can see you've touched so many people by making this. Theres a whole generation that grew up loving every second of this series and you gave every one of us something we never thought wed see Thank you so much, from the bottom of all our hearts.
I cannot believe how great this was. I am 50 and watched this as a child. A few years ago I bought the dvd set because I never saw the ending.... only to find out that there was no proper ending to it. I was so disappointed. But thanks to you I finally got to see the ending to one of my favorite cartoons. I will admit that I cried at the end. Thank you!
Congratulations on a creating a phenomenal final episode. When the show was cancelled all those years ago I dont think anyone could have anticipated someone would be able to finish it off to such a high standard and satisfying conclusion
I cannot believe after so many years, I finally find a closing. It's been my favorite series since I was a kid. Whoever made this, have my true gratitude. It was perfect. Thank you very much!
I'm 57 and this episode caught me by surprise as I was growing up I used to watch this show on Saturdays on CBS along with Tarzan...I never saw this episode ...Im so wowed!!

@@zetaviodeloryan5381 Glad to compliment you. It is wonderful how you use actual scenes from the show repurposed for the final. Someone is trying to create new animation but that is taking time. Also using the audio play for the dialog is great.
@@zetaviodeloryan5381 I can imagine the ending being the same as the one in Disney's Pocahontas including the waving scene. Hank, Bobby, Shelia, Eric and Diana waving. And Presto waving as well
For some crazy reason I waited till the Saturday morning of December 6 2023 to watch this. I'm fighting back tears. This was brilliant! As a fan effort it was incredible as I'm an animation school dropout myself. I can't say anything negatively about this as it was a labour of love. I'm astounded by how they even captured the Marvel/Toei feel the show had. This is an amazing true tribute to one of my heroes Michael Reeves (R.I.P.). He's one of the reasons I set out to become an animator.
I was a kid when this was on tv...watched it cause of my older brothers sat morning! Nice to see an ending!!!! Awesome to see Venger talk how Dungeon master was the one who was screwing them! Lol
OMG... I used to watch Dungeons and Dragons when it first came out and was so disappointed that it never got a PROPER ending.... until NOW... thank you ..
P.S. You absolutely nailed it with Presto reuniting with Varla, and Bobby wearing Terry's locket. Thank you again so much. To this day, this is still my favorite cartoon series. Thank you for giving it so much respect. ❤️
OMG Venger is dungeon master's son and the heroes are redeemers! I am completely blown away by this amazing last episode. As a small boy in the '80s there was no cartoon I looked forward to more than the dungeons & dragons series. This work is impressive to say the least. I'm struggling to find words that can appropriately transmit my feelings of appreciation for what you've done here. Thank you so much for finishing this series and giving it an ending that truly lives up to my expectations. Many blessings to you (whomever you are, I'm guessing it took more than one person to put this together) and all of your endeavors in the future.
It’s alluded to vaguely in The Dragon’s Graveyard “ when the kids defeat Venger and Dungeon Master says, “ Rise, my “ And another time Dungeon Master says to himself, “ We all make mistakes, Venger was mine.”
I absolutely love how Eric is the one that gets the hero moment at the end and it's his decision that frees everyone from the realm. He was always my favourite character. Thank you so much for the amazing job you did with this production!
Thank you so much for this labour of love. I enjoyed the original series immensely and it's one of the many reasons that I got into D&D in the first place. I read the script for Requiem many years later but never expected it to be animated. The circle has closed, the campaign has finished successfully.
The greatest unsolved mystery finally put to rest. I am both happier and sadder now. Sadder because it reminds of those wonderful childhood moments that would never be back.
I so wish this episode had been made as it ties up loose ends. There are hints all through the series that Venger is Dungeon masters son. Also, it explains why Dungeon master always seemed half-hearted in wanting to help the kids get home. He needed them as much as they needed him. This video is beautifully made. It's in keeping with the style of the series.
Remember the very first episode? Presto wanted to stay with Merlin and his white “hair” who was Venger in disguise and here he stays with the redeemed Venger who is now called Merlin
@@benfisher1376 exactly! I only realised when I watched the first one with my cousin’s son a few months ago and thought wow they’ve planned this whole story from the start and also in a few episodes Presto says he doesn’t have nice parents who are always criticising him calling him useless and he’d rather stay in the realm and use his magic to help others
This was absolutely one of my favorite 80's cartoons that I religiously watched every Saturday morning. Just watching this wonderful finale brought back so many memories, I'll cherish the work you've done here. I wish all shows would get closure like this.
52 years old and I finally get to SEE the ending of the series. While I did pick up the dvd box set and enjoyed the audio drama, this is as close to the real thing as we will ever get. @@ABB-bw6tc What he mentioned was an American dvd box set released in 2002 that had a radio play of the script for this episode (which had been published online back in 2000 by the series writer that had made it back in the 80's). This radio play is where the creators of this video took the voices from.
@ That is true, although some scenes were added in by the team by the creator of this fan episode (including the ending, as the audio play originally ended on an open ending in the event the show got a fourth season).
Thank you for bringing a missing piece of childhood to life. 42 now and this was flawless. You had to pick things and gel stuff together to make it. You who all took part to produce this. A thousand thank yous! Bless you all
After 40 long years, the children have finally completed their quest of saving the entire Dungeons and Dragons. This is an event that Dungeon Master and his son Venger will not forget. But eventually, remembered. 🇵🇭
Guys iam in tears 😭. For 40 years not knowing they couldn't go home. Presto stayed behind. The rest went home. They went home. Thank you so much for this closure.
That was amazing! Thanks so much for finishing the story. It means so much to see this as this was mine and my late brother’s favourite cartoon, and he’d also have loved this too. ❤
Wow. I hoped. To this day, I kept on hoping. That they would finish it. Reboot it. Anything. And after decades, it finally came. It's beautiful. Thank you, thank you, a thousand times thank you.
OMG! I can not thank you enough you made a grown man cry! Finally after 36 years my favorite animated series has an ending. You truly deserve a reward for the work you’ve done here, I felt like I found the lost episode you captured the spirit and characters, I know you were working from an un produced script but it’s your animation that brings it to life and you did justice to the series and it’s fans. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for this work of art.
Wow, just wow. Of all shows I watched as a kid that had unresolved endings this was the first one that gave me closure. Granted it took 40 years but you got it done. Much appreciated.
So many years ago, over four decades, I first watched this prime Saturday morning cartoon,as they were called back then. And then I found the episodes on an early sort of streaming website. It was a wonderful way to finally wrap! And special thanks for the tip to watch to the end of the credits! A more or less 21st century addition to action productions
I usually don’t comment but this is a special moment for the dungeon and dragons animated series and its long time, hard-core fans. We have waited several decades for these thoughts and ideals to reemerge on the video screen. Many thanks go out to all those involved in this phenomenal production and grand finale to one of the finest cartoons series that I can recollect in my 46 year existence on our planet.
Even though I read the original script years ago that was fantastic you should all be really proud. That worked so well,....nice little touch with bobby's locket and Presto's story. From this point Presto could be a guide for a new group of children to come to the realm. Glad it had an ending and you still kept the story alive. Thanks guys.
At the age of 41.....I had to wait over 30 years to see the ending!!! and What a FANTASTIC JOB !!!!! The best US Cartoon out yet! You Guys deserve a reward. And the attention to the details (Bobby gift to be returned....Presto real love OMG). FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC!!!!
Truly an outstanding job! This was my favorite Saturday morning show and was bummed out when it got canceled. I’m 50 and enjoyed this episode immensely. Thank you for bringing a fitting end to a great story.
It's pretty rough around the edges, but it's the best we got. I enjoyed the cameos and smaller references like Bobby's pendant, Presto calling out Venger's promise to teach him magic on season 1, and Varla. Thank you for that.
dude... thank you for this. There wasnt a Saturday morning I didn't race to watch this show. Imagine how pissed I was when it was canceled and the little bastards never made it home. Finally, my soul is at peace.
I can imagine Eric returning to his home life, getting back to his education, probably getting groomed for a position in his father's business, a position that he probably never wanted but it was put upon him, and now feeling miserable about it all. And deep down he is now missing the Realm. So, when Dungeon Master calls him and the other kids back, Eric exclaims "I didn't ask to come back here!" But Dungeon Master, already knowing Eric's true feelings says with a smile "Oh, but you did, Cavalier. You told me so before you returned home. I quote 'oh yeah, we don't wanna miss that'. Eric is initially annoyed, but even he can't help but grin at Dungeon Master's reply, and being back in the Realm.
Perhaps all the kids will return to the Realm when they each come of age (which for most of them was not far away). Cause it looked like Hank wanted to stay. Maybe Presto makes it possible for them after perfecting his magic skills.
With happy endings, there's always an encore. By all means, let's have a return to "Dungeons & Dragons". All the children will have grown up, and truly devote themselves to the misadventure they detested in their youth. Please don't change Uni where we wouldn't recognize her anymore.
I was a huge fan of the show back in the 80s. When I saw that the entire series was being released on DVD, I bought it the day it came out. This was a great homage to the series. Thank you so much for undertaking this project and giving the show the closure it deserves. You guys did a fantastic job!
This 40 year old man has got is inner 6 year old cheering in joy. Thank you for giving me closure after 34 years and doing such a great job with the script of the last episode
I happened to come across this while searching for another cartoon I remember watching Saturday mornings, and can say I'm glad I did. I always wondered if the children were able to return home. Thanks for answering/showing this for me!
At 48, the final episode has come to life. I loved this show as a kid and always wished a live action movie could be developed. Truly a magical and deserved ending.
This was one of my favorite shows back in the day. My nephew and I watched this religiously. Great shows have great finales, and this deserves no less. Well done.
45 years old this May. I can't even begin to say how grateful I am for you producing this. No doubt one of my favorite stories and cartoons from back in the old Saturday morning days.
Thank you so much for this. I use to watch this show with my mom when it aired on CBS on Saturday mornings. It's one of my favorite childhood memories. This has brought a happy closure to the series that the script alone was unable to do. The ending touches with the locket, Hank and Sheila, and Presto and Varla were even better than the ending to the original script. Thank you and God bless.
So this is how it ends. The story is complete. A beautiful end to a beautiful show, one which has entertained me, enriched me and inspired me. Thank you, Dungeons and Dragons.
I felt like I was 12 again watching my Saturday morning cartoons and this was one of the best. I was mad it came to a end with only 1 season and the last episode not even made witch I didn't know till I was older. Thank you.. gonna sign up to see what else you have.
OMG 🙀 DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS ~ REQUIEM! FINALLY MADE! When I was last online, (literally, over a decade ago!) This episode had a Fan made "Radio Show" Styled "Audio Only" version, but, I NEVER though that I'd Ever see It actually Animated! THANK YOU 💕

Ah, yes, that radio show was made as an extra for the American DVDs, released in 2006 (so it wasn't fan-made, even though most of the cast was different from the original episodes). Almost all of the voice acting for this episode was taken from there. =)
Ryan, I wish you were a television script writer. You're brilliant at this. Every change you made in the Requiem script was the right call, every addition to it was smart and creative and showed that you fully understand and 'feel' this show. Using the season two opening. Completing the Varla and Terry storylines. Solving the Uni problem. Adding those specific quotes from Dungeon Master at 24:03. The way you saved Hank from falling into the abyss. Even giving the Hank and Sheila shippers the closure they needed. Bravo.
@@MotiviqueStudio Yes, most of it is from the Michael Reaves script. I was commenting on the choices that animator Ryan ('Zetavio Deloryan') made, his additions and changes. The script was a first draft, after all.
And now some 35 years later, my childhood is complete. Thank you so much for all of your hard work on this...truly phenomenal and many a happy smiling faces will follow. Much love on this fanmade yet very professional finale! X

I remember hurrying home from school to watch it that & Starfleet
I watched all the episodes on TV couldn't wait for the next episode each week
Ahh, welcome Dungeon Master. May your tales be epic and may your players forever have fond memories of their adventures with you.
Amazing!
As you can see you've touched so many people by making this. Theres a whole generation that grew up loving every second of this series and you gave every one of us something we never thought wed see Thank you so much, from the bottom of all our hearts.

Congratulations on a creating a phenomenal final episode. When the show was cancelled all those years ago I dont think anyone could have anticipated someone would be able to finish it off to such a high standard and satisfying conclusion

@@zetaviodeloryan5381 Glad to compliment you. It is wonderful how you use actual scenes from the show repurposed for the final. Someone is trying to create new animation but that is taking time. Also using the audio play for the dialog is great.

Wow... after 35 years I finally get to watch the series finale. Not gonna lie, gave me some misty eyes. So very much appreciated, thank you.

Diana should have stayed as well to be with Kosar.

Yeah I had forgotten about Varla but Bobby putting on the locket was a great touch.
Teri's pendant at the end was just... amazing.
Oh... this is an original script, and not from the radio play of the ending from the dvd set?
OMG Venger is dungeon master's son and the heroes are redeemers! I am completely blown away by this amazing last episode. As a small boy in the '80s there was no cartoon I looked forward to more than the dungeons & dragons series. This work is impressive to say the least. I'm struggling to find words that can appropriately transmit my feelings of appreciation for what you've done here. Thank you so much for finishing this series and giving it an ending that truly lives up to my expectations. Many blessings to you (whomever you are, I'm guessing it took more than one person to put this together) and all of your endeavors in the future.
It's never stated though wether venger is his biological son or adoptive
It’s alluded to vaguely in The Dragon’s Graveyard “ when the kids defeat Venger and Dungeon Master says, “ Rise, my “
And another time Dungeon Master says to himself, “ We all make mistakes, Venger was mine.”
This is the ending the cartoon deserved, both lovely and bittersweet at the same time. Beyond awesome

I absolutely love how Eric is the one that gets the hero moment at the end and it's his decision that frees everyone from the realm. He was always my favourite character.
Thank you so much for the amazing job you did with this production!
In my head Eric was going to be that guy even before I saw this. Eric was always my fave character on the show
Thank you so much for this labour of love.
I feel your words. For they echo mine

Excellent work
dude... thank you for this.
Perfect. So good to be young again in the Realm.
Well its better if they grow up, finally takes weapons and a not only "SHIELD" and big wood stick.
Reminds me alot of the Chronicles of Narnia.

Bravo.
