They have already announced mod support is coming. This is clickbait. Original AC got mod support when it left early access, and they have announced just that....
@@stedz2000wasn't defined enough that we can come to a conclusion. It could mean that there will just be benefits for modders that go the official way and mods like they are in ac continue to exist 3rd party.
This maybe clickbait, but when modding does become available for EVO, are there going to be limitations on what Modders can do???? I thought in another video Kunos has to review each Mod to make it acceptable for the game. If so, we may never get our favorite tracks/vehicles included for the EVO game. For me this is a wait and see before I invest any money for this game. I don't want to be stuck with a game which has only 20 tracks, and which I already have in several of my older racing games.
Looks like you are baiting people around EVO being failed product even before it launched - they confirmed multiple times already, that they are going to do the same as they did with Original AC - it will be availlable at launch (within a year).
@@Kireth yup - but they want to share the $$ with the creators + they want to make them through official channels, with proper agreements with car manufacturers - which makes sense, it does not block the "open world" mods like you mentioned there. They don't support people ripping off content from artists to use in their mods. Having oversight will increase the quality of the mods, the more money that is put into them, the more licensing will show up. It's a win for everyone. If you want the wild west of sim racing just stick to AC.
"They don't support people ripping off content from artists to use in their mods."-yeah, cope more, marketing team slave, that's what u are. Do you remember paid content for Skyrim? I don't, because it didn't existed. "will increase the quality of the mods", when the best mods were available to download from nexus FOR FREE, not from bethesda shop, it didn't worked as planned, and in the end no one was paying these pigs a cent.
Post a source for that claim. I literally don't know a SINGLE game where monetizing modding led to a better product. You should work at Bethesda or Steam - they tried to implement it numerous times and it flopped and got tons of backlash. It's hell for players too - why would you want pay for mods so some lazy bums sit there and try to judge if the content was original or not? Where it was taken from? In the end you buy a mod and if it sucks you paid for something that sucks. Just look at how "curated" the addon store for Microsoft Flight Sim is... and that is a high profile production with a billion dollar company backing it... I call BS on your statement until you prove it.
Mod support is coming, don't make clickbait garbage Kireth you're better than that. Even if they are talking about mod support differently modders alway find a way around that Bethesda games for example have a way for your mods to get vetted by them but modders still go around that and publish them free for the public like normal. Same will happen with EVO.
Bethesda modding has always been peak, even the actual game expansions were just mod files, you always were able to just download a mod from anywhere and drag it in. They just added additional mod support around that, best of both worlds IMO. Hopefully Kunos still allows "unvetted" mod files to load directly.
Got this recommended on my feed, are you sure he is better than that? I've glanced at their videos, it's all click bait speculative garbage with some gameplay challenges sprinkled in.
It makes sense that they have control of mods for many legal reasons, Especially if they want mods to be available on console ecosystems that tend to have a younger player base than PC.
as a modder, I can understand how the brand would not like the community to be making mods for their game that could get them in hot water. I am not upset by this at all. I don't think this video is doing the best job at accurately reflecting the statements made by Kunos on how they will be handling mods for EVO though. They have stated several times that the game WILL have modding support, they will just be attempting to somewhat control the modding scene in a way that keeps them safe and supports mods that they enjoy. They also came clean about modding support not being available until full release which makes sense as well because they have to actually build the platform for those mods. I honestly don't think they are wrong in the way they are trying to handle this. They know without mods, the game will flop, that's why they are doing everything in their power to allow them in a safe manner.
Hey there. You were talking about "brands getting into hot water". This argument was brought up multiple times throughout the last years in which I follow closely around car games in general. Can you elucidate me/us what "hot water" means in that context? Because I simply cannot see why it would be ao bad if a brand got their stuff into a game. Thanks in advance for your answer. 😊
@wootdafuq2925 of course. the same way Disney wouldn't like if someone was doing parody content using mickey mouse doing drugs or giving political views, companies like Ferrari wouldn't want their cars used in games that allow you to run people over or street race. It would counter their brands views. This is actually part of the reason why porches appearances in racing games pre 2010 was so scarce. Basically what I mean by hot water is if someone makes a mod for ACE that a car manufacturer thinks makes their brand look bad, they don't go after the modder, they go after the game where it's used a majority of the time. Hope that makes a bit more sense
This AND the fact that these types of brands typically don't like when their branding and logos are placed onto something they did not create or ensure is up the their standards
why do you care so much about how the mod support in EVO, It would get rid of everyone playing the actual game and they would just the mods, it isnt the same as the original, its a different game, stop click baiting people when a game aint even out
Spending hundreds or even thousands of euros/dollars on simracing equipment and then not buying the biggest title in years is like buying a new car and not spending money on fuel. 🤨
PS; You can tell a TH-cam content creator. They go on and on about how things look in replay. I think it's because of all the editing and watching it over and over again. Most of us would rather drive than watch. I have logged well over 2 million RL OTR (over the road) Miles. Never seen the level of inside the wind screen reflections as some of these sims offer. Sun blinding happens, pulling down sun visers and sun glasses should be a thing. Most of the racers watching are interested in game play, physics, FFB, and AI.
Not trying to sound mean but maybe we should let them decide so if they dont then the game dies. Sucks to say that but Im honestly tired of gaming companies A.Not putting out enough content on release B.MOdding should be a nice additional later on but not what carries the game the whole life of it.
if you guys really think they wont have mods your crazy...and they are not releasing the mods or multiplayer in the beginning because they want to make sure the core game works so let kireth cry about something else
They made dodgy statements about contolling and licensing mods on the sim racing expo. So better "cry" now and hope people decide to hold back, and only buy the game when the developers let us enjoy "free" mods, without controlling us, what wd want to play.
There's only one answer, get all the modders to build an open source sim racing game. Maybe starting from a fork of Richard Burns Rally which arguably still has the best physics and force feedback. It just needs a team to manage the project (like Blender did for 3d software).
i disagree if you look dcs world they have this system and it works. it would make sure the quality of the mods are good, plus you would see more frequent dlc
I think it is obvious that the modding of EVO will be like that of AC1 but Kunos cannot say it directly to avoid losing some licenses prior to the release of the final game, they already confirmed recently in Overtake that they would launch the tools with version 1.0 exactly the same as in AC1. Also, the issue of having a platform for it within the game is a great idea, it would save many people time from having to download mods from different websites and install them manually when you can do everything from the game itself on a few clicks, not to mention that it could open the door to have mods on consoles like some games from Bethesda.
This dude is talking more rubbish with every video he uploads!....Regular modding will be as usual, but Kunos now are having a new partnership program, if you want your mod to become an official add-on/expansion to the game, and possibly available on consoles as well
to answer your last question, no not buying AC Evo in early access. haven't bought any in early access, just not hyped recently with rennsport, lmu and ace. i don't mind paying full price for a finished game, just don't want to beta test anything when i'm saturated already with what i'm playing/what i have. don't feel i need more rn.
Good points raised👍 If AC turns it's back on the modding community by trying to control it I can see, as you pointed out, it moving onto another platform. Beam NG has been slowly burning away in the background and although not a race sim at it's core could be modded into one in the way we have seen AC evolve over the years. Just my opinion. The community is definitely less visible than it was a few years ago with Reddit threads and websites being forced down. The community is still alive on other platforms though if you know where to look. The wild west feel to the modding and bootlegging is still there and it's part of the fun of being into Sim racing for me. Kunos would be remiss to turns it's back on the community it helped build.
Noy gonna buy iy in release or even early release. Had my fingers burnt in the past. You want my cash you've gotta earn it. Le Mon is overpriced when you consider 40% of the game is hidden behind a pay wall of dlc. I racing has a lot to answer for stupid pricing and people pay it
Yes. They should. And they will. But they are controlling it. And I'm absolutely fine with it. There were so many illegal tracks and cars out there. Tracks stolen from other games for example. Let's wait and see how Kunos will implement their idea for AC:E. I'm looking forward to it. And if they are working on the mods, implement them, making a working BOP,... I'm absolutely fine to pay for it.
What they are doing is perfectly fine. Get the engine/game sorted & stabilize the codebase. Then release the mod tools to the community. I have no problem with them controlling the workshop, so long as it is well maintained & not heavily monetized. They have to protect themselves from litigation & honestly I most use high quality content by established mod content. The Quantity of Quality mods is more important to me than having a completely open ecosystem. So long as they put a lot of effort into the workshop I don't see a problem. If they treat it like Bethesda then it'll be a disaster and everyone will keep playing AC1.
Yes. It's not their job to police modders. Cutting out modding and only having a controlled platform to sell them from will kill the hundreds of great (and legal) free/dirt cheap mods that would have been put out like it did for the original.
@@emptyfueltank that's what we still don't know at the point right now. Maybe that will be possible to mod cars and tracks that don't need a license and we'll get them for free. We'll see. To forbid modding would break their neck. And I'm quite sure they know that.
We're still going to be able to make mods for AC EVO just like on AC. But if you want your mods to be enlisted as official add-on/expansion to the game, distributed through AC EVO's official portal, and possibly available on consoles as well, then you'll need to partner up with Kunos and go through this new vetting process!
"You can't put walls around the sea." I think we'll have both worlds, official mods controlled in the Kunos store and "unofficial" mods with a lot of variety but different qualities.
Good video! It's not sacrilegious to have both games installed. If people are playing Assetto Corsa instead of Evo. Kunos will recognize that and make changes to their plan. I think if they have substantial updates quarterly. Of content that people are asking for. They wont need to rely on mods. Gt7 doesnt rely on mods and that game does great! Whiners are going to whine about anything.😅
If you spend time and tweak the graphics in AC you could make it look amazing, but it will never be consistent. That's where Assetto Corsa EVO has the upper hand.
Finally a YT-er that sees what I have been saying from the beginning. Kunos want a piece of the cake of the modders. I understand why, and it will bring another level of Modders (who will be able to earn money as well). The question is, how much will they cost? I'm willing to pay 1 Euro for a car or trakc but not 13 Euro... I already throw my money to i-Racing for that :-), and that is offical developed material... not some wizz kid that makes fabolous tracks/cars, where Kunos don't have to do anything but test and approve. So... I will not buy the game at launch and see where this go... Thanks for having a decent preview on AC Evo and not go also on the wave of Hyping the game before launch.
I pre ordered the original AC in early access. I would've stopped playing after a year if there wasn't free modding. I just won't buy ACE with this policy, I already avoid paid mods like the plague.
thats just saying i want to play the game but i am not gonna support the makers .. very dumb and u missed out on some great mods most of just cost a few pennys take the rss mod for example in my opinion way higher quality as main dlc of the game and it was only 3 euros at the time for like 6 cars
@@eXImRealYou probably haven't been PC gaming for long. There are total conversion mods for games like New Vegas with custom animations, models, voice acting, new scripts, weather etc and its all free. Why would I pay $3 for 6 cars when I can play a 40 hour campaign for free? Not to mention AC costs less than many mods today, you can pick up AC for $5 and install SRP with dozens of new cars. I've donated to mod developers before too, its not like I don't support what I like.
My guess is there will be a mod store just like the Apple App Store or Google play store where they get a percentage and have control what they will allow.
I think you might be a big exaggerating with this topic. Like the original AC, they didn't make mods available until the full release. And yes Kunos said they will have a part with all the mods that will be available in Assetto Corsa EVO, they want to prevent terrible mods from making their way into Assetto Corsa EVO, likey because some car mods or tracks preform horribly, some modded cars drive so unrealistically so Kunos want us to have a consistent experience . As for the other reason for their involvement, they want to make sure that they don't get copyright lawsuits because someone uploaded a cathrem car mod, which would violate copyright laws for Kunos. So i think they'll just make sure to have mods like RSS in the way that they change the logo and the name of the car mod. Also I'm pretty sure they want to have the same success with Assetto Corsa EVO like the original AC, so mods are definitely coming in a good and accessible way. Also they might even find a way to make mods available for consoles as well if they implement a mod repository.
Don't worry, someone will figure out how to copy cars and tracks into the game. Even if it requires a tool like OpenIV is for GTA. They're still using the same engine as old Assetto Corsa so it could even be drag and drop.
It does not, original assetto corsa uses Unity engine, on the other hand Assetto Corsa Evo uses unreal engine, they modified the game engine that based on Assetto Corsa Competizione, its not the same engine, they said maybe they will release tools to convert files from old .kn5
@@SinceThe90s Literally everything you just about the engines they used is not correct, Assetto Corsa was their own engine, Competizione was unreal and AC Evo is another engine they made.
It will surpace is within 6-7 months. Its completly different sim with a different focus, Ac evo will have much broader scope, and will attract a much wider audiance.
I’m still buying this game as soon as I can in EA! IMO, this has pros and cons; pros are we don’t have a bunch of bad mods (personally I was always hesitant to download any mod in AC as I didn’t always trust the quality). I think this will provide much needed governance. The cons really only affect the modders and us. We’ll have to pay for any mod (but at least quality would be assured), and the modders will not be able to just produce anything (a bit like developing an Apple app), but at least they’ll get paid for their work. I think this will incentivise modders, assure buyers, and benefit developers. Overall, I don’t think you have a point…. But let’s see how it plays out. You could be right bro
I think they're trying to find reasonable ground between PC and an eventual console release. I think they probably did pretty well with DLC in ACC. I've Got a Feeling someone sees a gold mine bringing the Talon and Imagination of the PC guys and the console DLC together. Just got to figure out how to get there effectively
Rennsport should take this opportunity to be a newer AC, if I remember correctly, dev of Rennsport said that we will have fully modability in their 'platform'
To be honest we do not really need Mods in game's release. First we have to explore the game, experience every new feature it has to give, drive most of the tracks and learn the tracks and after that we can talk for mod support... Most ppl that play this game for modding will install a track, some cars and will never experience the campaign or stuff like that. So its a no for me at launch. I would love to see it after 2 years.
A game being in EA means they are going to likely be digging around and changing its bones and guts, things that mods would be dependent on. Every update breaking every mod would likely just piss off their community, so it makes sense they'd hold off on support.
It's videos like this that may damage the game as it does not reflect the developer's intentions and statement; in addition, comparing a game that has been worked on by a community for a decade to a new racing entry BY ANY DEVELOPER (Turn 10, Codemasters, PT etc. etc.), one with enough brain cells would deduce that such a path could result in a better-looking game, do better.
They wanted to put Gran Turismo out of business in 2014, and they failed miserably! The next attempt will be an even worse failure... This is what happens when you have delusions of omnipotence. 😉
@kevenlavoie3354 I own a PC and Android devices too...😉 Now I'm playing real racing 3, with 430 cars and several nice modelled real tracks, fast online match making ALL FOR FREE 😉 Get out from the tunnel bro!
I like mods, i have the main cars from every year of Bathurst and Le Mans in Assetto Corsa. I just love playing the classic years and having all of the important cars of that era. Its going to take a lot for me to move to a game that limits my enjoyment for their profit. I will no doubt buy AC Evo as i can afford to, but i just get the feeling im going to end up back in AC because im going to miss the classic car/track combos.
i say let nature take its coarse ,assetto corsa made sim racing what it is today! let them do there thing, kunos knows what there doing just have a little faith, you can't expect everything to launch all at once , all good things come with time, i think we should be thankful we are getting early access, and yes i bet its gonna mess, but when the smoke clears and we look a few years down the road i think we are gonna have the sim racing industry standard here ! just have a little patience ! happy new year and happy racing!
really we just need content manager Evo. Once kunos releases the full game they can just piss off like they did for AC and let the modders make the game playable. Sad to say but i trust modders more then Kunos in the modern day of devs
The old model of creating a game and profiting from the sales are just dead, in game content purchases are what makes money now and there’s really no going back.
I don't understand yr video, u said the issue is mods but you can add mod in acc evo. And u said u don't see anything in the mirrors but u said it it is the pre alpha version, nothing is optimized
This would be a huge scandal for me. They foreshadowed it on the sim racing expo. As someone who never even bothered to finish a single race in AC this is a no go. I do not want developers to control what mods I choose to play. IMHO AC is the best racing game because of mods. There is so many stuff you can do, a real shame when its gone... I would not wonder, if the old AC outlives EVO.
It wont in the longrun ac evo will grow bigger than ac1. The problem is that you listen to this bait. You are just being missguided. Mods are confirmed to happen after full release.
@@andreasmoller9798 Did you see how unconfortable Kunos answered the question about the modding situation on EVO? Maybe you are the one who got baited? Mods controlled by Kunos is absolutely fine. They want more money. If course. But it prevents modders from illegal copies of tracks with licenses. I'm absolutely fine. If they take some euros per good mod and make it competitive with the original content - it's absolutely perfect. I'm struggling with the content that is coming. I was hoping for driver swaps. For endurance races. For a proper damage model. Nothing of these features is mentioned yet. That's why I'm struggling with AC:E.
This would mean we'd have to buy mods, which again will just kill the scene. The amount of free mods I've downloaded for the original game, if I had to pay for each one of them I would be bankrupt.
count the amount of legal mods you downloaded. All the Darches instead of Porsches, all the Bayros instead of BMWs, all the tracks without permission. If Kinos will do it right, I'm looking forward to pay for a lot of mods. I'm fine with it.
I'm ok with paying for quality mods. Especially tracks. Look at AM2 constantly updating improving and new car group packages. I think a new sim racer is looking at well over $200.00CDN for a single sim. Then someone buys the creator (Reiza Studios). Makes it a subscription or offers a new in house version and shutsdown the servers. To be honest I'm still in shock LMU got an update. I no longer trust any publisher to do anything good for the customer, only the shareholders.
i really like acc, its pure racing! with mods i feel it would be ruined. with assetto corsa and mods makes it impressive, but if you want competitive racing, i would rather the mods be picked carefully by the developers
So many titles, so little time...I'm more than happy to leave EVO alone for a year or two and see where it goes. If it releases EA at a reduced price I will get it then shelve it and wait.
I knew it, here's the shoe drop just like TDU, it ain't living up to it's predecessors, you'll get the demo to check it out, but that's it... I run hypercars in it and it works better than LMU. Assetto Corsa (original) will continue on...
And I don’t condone modding without the consent of the game’s studio. And it’s up to the studio if they want to allow modding its their game. So no it’s not a mistake by not allowing mods it’s their game.
For all of Assetto Corsa's great mod content, it was all pretty pointless because the AI was shit so you couldn't race on any of the many amazing tracks.
Ah, this sounds like they've ruined the appeal of the game. I may pick it up if the early value is worth the money, but AC1 won't be surpassed unless they correct course.
SRP and servers running practice servers..are now destroying online play.. it's my opinion and as a regular player i'm sticking to it...... IT's a racing game so. Get back to the racing....i do totally agree with mods being essential, however i'm pretty sure the devs are totally aware of the success of mods having watched various interviews and gauging there rections and feedback to very good questions. ........so they will come.......but i'm going to hesitate anyway..because i'm not intersted in SRP or playing Practics sessions...i got into racing sims because of the racing period...this to me is Essential. and i don't see why i have to race at specific times and events , i should be able to race whenever i want....but thx for the info.. FYI i installed SRP and was pretty bored and pretty underwhelmed very quickly......yet they are the most popular servers which says alot about it's "racing" community, just boring.. and ACE needs to take steps so we don't reach the same stale community with ACE. Also on another point.... I still never see longer racing, or night racing, or mixed weather racing in assetto corsa online public servers either?, why is this when CM CSP and SOL/Pure have tranformed the sim into something much greater than when it was first launched......again ACE has to make sure the variety of racing tracks modes cars are wildly available and does not become stagnated to the same repetitive tracks and cars....zzzzzzzzzz One thing i would love to know is are servers going to include track rotations?, rather than just replaying the same track and cars and unchanging conditions without needing pitstops etc.. over and over again. GTR2 had this btw and TOCA3, (even older) went a step further by running a continuous actual only championship with like 10 races or more , ..alas this great idea has been forgotton.. cheers
Assetto Corsa was not a complete product when it launched because it was early access, and the same is the case now with EVO. I guess you had the same moronic complaint about Project CARS 1 and 2 because early access means that the product is under development, and they let you in on trying it early. How early that is depends on the developer.
In all honesty but the modding stuff is just overrated. Like 15k Players is literally absolutely nothing worth to even mention. The majority just wants a finished product to hop in and play their favourite gamemode or whatever and then get out. Its just the same niche as every other racing simulation that has failed to be a proper "plug & play" title. I remember when i gave Assetto Corsa a shot in terms of modding also, it ended up beeing an 7 hours job and it didnt work and i threw the complete trash game off my drive and never started it again. If i pay for a game i expect a complete experience out of the package and modding will not add any value to an unfinished product, which AC has been. This is literally as of why Gran Turismo is skyrocketing at the racing franchise in terms of playerbase and leaves everyone else in the dust, because you get that finished product that is plug & play.
Mod is confusing. How could they select mod if licensing will kill all of their option. Oh ferrarri296 gt3 mod, we don’t have the right to this car, aston martin gr3 evo not pay for this right etc. Mod is suppose to be a way to put content that the dev have not make for many reason.
You seem to be painting a picture that ac evo is dead there is a massive difference ac was and is pretty boring without mods but ac evo is a bigger game that should be more like gt7
I think its a little bit of a over reaction. There will be mods at full launch they will just be vetted. With them developing an open world map themselves im all for it. You guys can enjoy your shallow modded maps that just go in a circle all you want. I find shutoku really boring.
i just went and tried to get some of the mods you mentioned to try them out and its an absolute shitshow hodgepodge of scams and janky websites to sort through out there
Amen. You'll get heavily downvoted on the official reddit though. But hey, truth is truth, Kunos will shoot itself in the foot if they don't allow mods.
All of complaints needs to stop for ac evo, you have not even let kunos have chance to release the game yet, kunos have so far never broken a promise, Its clear they listen to the community unlike many others. If kunos dosent deliver this year, then we could start make complaints about it, But if anyone can sucessed its kunos they have love and passion for the genre. Mod support is confirmed to happen after early access ends, with more powerful tools than ac1

" It's a win for everyone"
...LMFAO
"They don't support people ripping off content from artists to use in their mods."-yeah, cope more, marketing team slave, that's what u are. Do you remember paid content for Skyrim? I don't, because it didn't existed. "will increase the quality of the mods", when the best mods were available to download from nexus FOR FREE, not from bethesda shop, it didn't worked as planned, and in the end no one was paying these pigs a cent.
Agreed!
@@kontoname every modder except like two are saying this is gonna be some bs indeed.
Chill dude, AC had no mods in early access either.
The reaction of the developers on the mods question, at sim racing expo, should raise concerns
Disney might not like it but tough luck - Mickey Mouse is out of copyright
@@Kireth agreed but not really the point I'm trying 😂
why do you care so much about how the mod support in EVO, It would get rid of everyone playing the actual game and they would just the mods, it isnt the same as the original, its a different game, stop click baiting people when a game aint even out
Spending hundreds or even thousands of euros/dollars on simracing equipment and then not buying the biggest title in years is like buying a new car and not spending money on fuel. 🤨
Can't wait to see AC Evo fully modded a decade from now 🤯
PS; You can tell a TH-cam content creator.
👍I have been waiting for years for helmet cam with a tinted visors choice and windshield sun strips.
Cannot understand why it still isn't a thing.
Will never buy it if mods not supported
Whats the verdict on the ps5 version? Is it even worth looking at?
i disagree if you look dcs world they have this system and it works. it would make sure the quality of the mods are good, plus you would see more frequent dlc
Very good point
ill just keep playing my modded assetto corsa. not going to buy an inferior product.
Wouldn't exactly call this game inferior 😂
Ac evo will be superior in my opinion specially as time go on.
This dude is talking more rubbish with every video he uploads!....Regular modding will be as usual, but Kunos now are having a new partnership program, if you want your mod to become an official add-on/expansion to the game, and possibly available on consoles as well
yeah I don't have time to fiddle with mods. If the VR is good out of box then I don't mind paying small amounts for new content that isn't buggy.
definitely a pro!
I agree ..im now a vr guy fully
@@solace4114 no VR no buy for me
There will be VR and triples support in early access.
to answer your last question, no not buying AC Evo in early access. haven't bought any in early access, just not hyped recently with rennsport, lmu and ace. i don't mind paying full price for a finished game, just don't want to beta test anything when i'm saturated already with what i'm playing/what i have. don't feel i need more rn.
I will buy it just out of desperation for something new
Mods ~ accepted or not by devs ~ are an offence to them. Some of them (like SCS) take it easy; some others not...
Good points raised👍
If AC turns it's back on the modding community by trying to control it I can see, as you pointed out, it moving onto another platform.
I racing has a lot to answer for stupid pricing and people pay it
Should Assetto Corsa EVO permit modding in 2025?
No
What they are doing is perfectly fine.
99 percent of the customers will not be on pc and cannot use mods
Good point, very likely 99% of AC Evo customers will be buying the console version on January 16
When i launched the game it says offline and i cant go online could you please help about this problem.
I'm looking into it
"You can't put walls around the sea." I think we'll have both worlds, official mods controlled in the Kunos store and "unofficial" mods with a lot of variety but different qualities.
Good point! The concurrents after a couple of months will be very interesting
If you spend time and tweak the graphics in AC you could make it look amazing, but it will never be consistent. That's where Assetto Corsa EVO has the upper hand.
True i am just so sick keep tweaking every settning in ac,
Finally a YT-er that sees what I have been saying from the beginning.
Maybe I'll have a yearly mod budget
The recipe of success is just there for anyone to take: Make a moddable racing game, period.
I pre ordered the original AC in early access. I would've stopped playing after a year if there wasn't free modding. I just won't buy ACE with this policy, I already avoid paid mods like the plague.
OG sim racer right here!
thats just saying i want to play the game but i am not gonna support the makers .. very dumb and u missed out on some great mods most of just cost a few pennys take the rss mod for example in my opinion way higher quality as main dlc of the game and it was only 3 euros at the time for like 6 cars
So no mods then. They will never accept most of the mod. Because its need agrement.
I think you might be a big exaggerating with this topic. Like the original AC, they didn't make mods available until the full release. And yes Kunos said they will have a part with all the mods that will be available in Assetto Corsa EVO, they want to prevent terrible mods from making their way into Assetto Corsa EVO, likey because some car mods or tracks preform horribly, some modded cars drive so unrealistically so Kunos want us to have a consistent experience
Also they might even find a way to make mods available for consoles as well if they implement a mod repository.
he exaggerates every topic and clic baits tirles.. every time
Nice. Is that from a fan server or the original game itself?
Mods in the description!
Yea i said this in one of your last ACevo video and the people crushed me.
@@SinceThe90s It isn't, it's using a proprietary engine made by them.
@@SinceThe90s Literally everything you just about the engines they used is not correct, Assetto Corsa was their own engine, Competizione was unreal and AC Evo is another engine they made.
Surely we just stay with the original assetto corsa then until they sort it out
Yes, or even ACC for a lot of GT3 cars on modern tracks
Just play Automobilista 2. It's far superior. EVO won't be up to par for years guys
It will surpace is within 6-7 months.
Its completly different sim with a different focus,
Ac evo will have much broader scope, and will attract a much wider audiance.
@kireth do you know if VR will be support on the early access launch ???
Its already confirmed
Rennsport should take this opportunity to be a newer AC, if I remember correctly, dev of Rennsport said that we will have fully modability in their 'platform'
but their game is trash
You are rocking good Kireth, how you find the time to discover all of this I commend you 🎉
AC and Skyrim will live forever with mods. And whats good about that, is you dont need to have a Skynet supercomputer to run the damn thing.
On point, Hope AC EVO Notice this issue~!
I ll just stay on the old AC and play shutoko revival project
Kunos map will be much better.
EVO is releasing on Early Access, lots of time to change things. Send your FEEDBACK to them.
Well no
It's videos like this that may damage the game as it does not reflect the developer's intentions and statement; in addition, comparing a game that has been worked on by a community for a decade to a new racing entry BY ANY DEVELOPER (Turn 10, Codemasters, PT etc. etc.), one with enough brain cells would deduce that such a path could result in a better-looking game, do better.
They wanted to put Gran Turismo out of business in 2014, and they failed miserably!
The next attempt will be an even worse failure...

Le Mans historic sounds awesome!
i say let nature take its coarse ,assetto corsa made sim racing what it is today! let them do there thing, kunos knows what there doing just have a little faith, you can't expect everything to launch all at once , all good things come with time, i think we should be thankful we are getting early access, and yes i bet its gonna mess, but when the smoke clears and we look a few years down the road i think we are gonna have the sim racing industry standard here ! just have a little patience ! happy new year and happy racing!
really we just need content manager Evo.
Let’s just focus on the core game shall we. There’s plenty of time to focus on mods etc down the line
On another note I used your promo code for my new Logi pro yesterday
Thanks!! Looking forward to it?

Assetto Corsa (original) will continue on...
And I don’t condone modding without the consent of the game’s studio. And it’s up to the studio if they want to allow modding its their game. So no it’s not a mistake by not allowing mods it’s their game.

Bro this ride just beginning!
They have modded everything except the nasty physics of a dinghy pivoting in center pin on invisible rails! 😂
For all of Assetto Corsa's great mod content, it was all pretty pointless because the AI was shit so you couldn't race on any of the many amazing tracks.
would you make a video on Night-runners, that's my most anticipated game this year by far. Tokyo extreme racer is a close 2nd for me
Ah, this sounds like they've ruined the appeal of the game.
I still never see longer racing, or night racing, or mixed weather racing in assetto corsa online public servers either?, why is this when CM CSP and SOL/Pure have tranformed the sim into something much greater than when it was first launched......again ACE has to make sure the variety of racing tracks modes cars are wildly available and does not become stagnated to the same repetitive tracks and cars....zzzzzzzzzz
One thing i would love to know is are servers going to include track rotations?, rather than just replaying the same track and cars and unchanging conditions without needing pitstops etc.. over and over again.
AC on consoles is nothing more than a paid demo.
no, no i will not be buying before mods is available, besides not every game can get every license of every car.
No mods no telemetry, I’m in no rush to buy it.
Mods has already been confirmed a while back, its just a bait video.
Time to pay the Piper…😮

Mod is confusing. How could they select mod if licensing will kill all of their option. Oh ferrarri296 gt3 mod, we don’t have the right to this car, aston martin gr3 evo not pay for this right etc. Mod is suppose to be a way to put content that the dev have not make for many reason.
bruh isn't modding already been announced.

No joke. Left screen is a trash
All of complaints needs to stop for ac evo, you have not even let kunos have chance to release the game yet, kunos have so far never broken a promise,
Its clear they listen to the community unlike many others.
If kunos dosent deliver this year, then we could start make complaints about it,
But if anyone can sucessed its kunos they have love and passion for the genre.
Mod support is confirmed to happen after early access ends, with more powerful tools than ac1
I've asked them for responses, hopefully we get the official line 🙌🙌
@ they have already answered all questions maybe you should just listen to inteeviews they have been doing
I prefer to get answers directly from the developer/publisher/CEO. How many outlets reported on Fanatec issues (basically none) when I was getting answers directly 🤔
@ then its your fault that you didint have asked them directly, and making speculations that will missguide your viewers. The info is out there, overtake has made plenty of interviews with kunos directly and if you would have Watch that you would not have misslead your own viewers.
Nah... They'll have the license mods and unlicensed ones... Just use Assetto Corsa launcher and solved.
bro they said licensed mods only....
how many licensed mods even are there lol
wateva dud you 1 person , there going to be mods go do your research
