AMAZINGLY WELL STATED!!! He did SOOO much, for SOOO many different things & people!! Just an amazingly talented musician, persona, front man, activist & possibly his best attribute was his ability to be A GREAT human being in all aspects!! The thought of hip-hop without Shock & Idk if our beloved culture would be nearly as advanced, would have SMASHED barriers that it has & have to wonder If we would have gotten the blessing of Pac!! On a side note, I wish the mainstream would possibly put people like Shock on a pedestal, basically give them there DUE flowers while legends like him are still here! I think Shock kind of preferred to lay low & I've never heard a bad thing said about him. His contributions are ENDLESS. A TRUE blessing & double with Pac.

We can be selfish//prideful or just simply taking advantage of people as if we know they’ll be here tomorrow not really thinking it could be their last day of life. We’re so quick to say “see u tomorrow, get back with you sometime next week” etc whatever the case just assuming we all have “tomorrow” availability. Unfortunately it’s what we do even without thinking. When death happens we’re in total disbelief and it’s a shock to our souls, but it happens.🤷‍♀️

    7:01-Backspinning to Chic "Good Times"
    7:15-Purpose behind juggling DJ technique
8:10-Evolution and purpose to scratching, example of Zapp "More Bounce to the Ounce"
8:40-Comparing West Coast hip-hop "twirping" (chirping) scratching DJ technique

A legend ahead of his time..
Made me feel proud of being from Tampa, I was 12 when packets came out.. literally stayed with me since n taught me so much as a little hip hop head in Tampa, n as an only child, shy, scholed on the ladies..
May he rest in peace, and his soul evolve well.. perhaps we here from him again and be blessed with his genius.
RIP Kenny K as well.. wish I had my 88.5 cassettes from the day 😉
