I think they still have to release one more prequel, approaching HOTD3, perhaps 3 or 2 years before, explaining how the world is collapsing and finding the whereabouts of the mysterious man, now with a direct sequel to 3, with the in order to put an end to thonrheart's plans once and for all

Because the story of HOTD 4 game took place in 2003, while HOTD 3 took place in 2019.

I think the ending with G in it is supposedly him going back to where James died before THOTD3 in 2019. While in THOTD4 special, it's G from 2003.
