Love how Bradford got so excited about the music catalog and to learn about his discovery of Pere Ubu. Love this concept. Thank you Amoeba! I've been watching this series for years.
Oh....I know about Pere Ubu....of course Cyrus Budd....Cool name btw.....thanks for responding... I meant learning about when Bradford discovered Pere Ubu. I should've been more clear. My mistake for not wording it better. It's a really cool video though! Don't you think?
Bradford Cox is one of my musical hopes. I believe in his values and I think Deerhunter and Atlas sound's works are the most sincere and consistent things I recently listened to.
I love Deerhunter. Finally saw them live last week and it was amazing! He was so cute, came out to take pictures before the show, then climbed on to the stage and apologised his was through like he was disturbing the crowd... I just love him.
All of his choices were spot on and his explanations seemed pretty interesting as well. I think the eclectic nature of his choices demonstrates a degree of flexibility in his art/music interests. Bravo!
Rosie and the Originals I found out about because I was depressed and my dad has a truck. My dad was like "Will, might as well get in the truck and take a ride around and we drive around and listened to the fifties station, Rosie and the Original's Angel Baby played. I thought it was the most haunting sounding song. Love that ^
I've literally only heard one of his songs so far but I was so blown away I had to check this out. Any recommendations? I'm going to listen to Halcyon Digest first.
Man, oh man, are you in for a treat. Ask 3 different people what their favourite Deerhunter album is and you'll get 3 different answers, all of which right. I'd probably start with Microcastle, but every horse is a winner in this race!
Good man! I know that feel. I only got on board since Monomania and I'm trawling through every last note of his music. Pretty much has become one of my all time favorites.
***** All I can say is - good for you. I remember my 'first time' with Deerhunter, then Atlas Sound; I was utterly blown away since I started my trip wih Halcyon Digest (which is a definition of bliss and pure genius imho). Bradford's music makes me feel glad I've been growing up with it, alongside. He's a nice fellow as well, I saw Deerhunter live two years ago, fantastic gig.
Grav3yard girl really wants to thank u because you have helped her through some really hard times and I am one of her long term subs so I want to help her out
Record stashers are annoying for the employees but it's easy to find the stashed stuff when you search the rack from back to front. Found a mint Telstar 45 yesterday that somebody hid in the back of the C section.
that was hilarious, best thing about growing up in the south is that you can dig up the ol hick accent at any time and usually get a larf. brillaint selections, thanks amoeba cheers from san diego
I was hoping Mr Cox would pull out of his bag Bon Jovi ,Aerosmith ,Janet Jackson to explode my expectations but no he proved his eclectic tastes perfectly.
one of the most unique and knowledgable people in music today, i happily buy anything he puts his name to..
wise words

I just discovered Deer hunter. I know I'm late to the party but I'm enjoying everything and the music is so fresh and new to me. Thanks so much.

Love how Bradford got so excited about the music catalog and to learn about his discovery of Pere Ubu. Love this concept. Thank you Amoeba! I've been watching this series for years.

I love Deerhunter. Finally saw them live last week and it was amazing! He was so cute, came out to take pictures before the show, then climbed on to the stage and apologised his was through like he was disturbing the crowd... I just love him.

Mricocastle/Weird era continued blows me away every time.
I love Whats In My Bag. I love Bradford Cox. Great picks--I would expect nothing less from Bradford. Eclectic, obscure, timeless.
All of his choices were spot on and his explanations seemed pretty interesting as well. I think the eclectic nature of his choices demonstrates a degree of flexibility in his art/music interests. Bravo!

That "Atlas Sound" jam, Quick Canal, is out of this world good!
Not only is his selection great, but this is seriously one of the most entertaining WIMB's yet. Made my day.
Bradford Cox and Deerhunter are one of the best indie groups ever
Impecable taste. How can this dude not make great music with those influences.
Dear Gawd I love this man's music taste! Superb! Equally great sense of humor and sass. Other than his music, that's why I love him.
Bradford is the man.
Yeah, people who really know music history are indeed a rare commodity.I have greater respect for Cox and Deerhunter after seeing the video.
Rosie and the Originals I found out about because I was depressed and my dad has a truck. My dad was like "Will, might as well get in the truck and take a ride around and we drive around and listened to the fifties station, Rosie and the Original's Angel Baby played. I've literally only heard one of his songs so far but I was so blown away I had to check this out. Any recommendations? I'm going to listen to Halcyon Digest first.

jamiecal11 Awesome, I'm about halfway through Microcastles, Halcyon Digest and Monomania because I apparently have musical ADHD.
Good man! I know that feel. I only got on board since Monomania and I'm trawling through every last note of his music. Pretty much has become one of my all time favorites.
***** All I can say is - good for you. Mem wired Lucky... I would love to see them live. Bradley is a true artist.
"I hid it in the Tuxedomoon section." If I had a nickel for every time I've heard that, I'd have five cents.

Bradford Cox hablando de discos y tomándose una cerveza Victoria, que chido jeje.
I love that he had West Coast Pop Art Experimentalband in there... and called out the guys singing lol
He introduced me to later cluster. I wonder which cluster album he considers the best, probably Zuckerzeit. My favorite is definitely Sowiesoso.
Woah, I didn't know he did one of these!
Do you think Wes Anderson watched this (See: Isle of Dogs Trailer)?
Stephen Lasko why is it related, I'm very lazy
Record stashers are annoying for the employees but it's easy to find the stashed stuff when you search the rack from back to front. Found a mint Telstar 45 yesterday that somebody hid in the back of the C section.

what is the song right at the start? *background music while bradford is browsing the store*
And four years later Wes Anderson uses that beautiful, obscure West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band song in his The Isle of Dogs. I like Bradford
Which song plays during the cartoon scene with the cat?
