I think it’s indirectly due to China’s BRI, BRICS, and similar forums. It gives reason for the many diverse non-western countries to discuss cooperation and solving their problems, but without western countries present. I think it indirectly allowed these countries to compare notes about what they’re told about each other, and realise some important stuff. Last century’s decolonisation movement had something like that, when the printing press and faster travel by steam ship and the telegraph allowed colonised countries to compare notes and realise the extent of european imperialism over them all. What the Russian invasion did, via the unprecedented response by the West to it, is increase the urgency to act to create alternatives to Western instruments, at least in finance and trade, if not also security.

We have seen countries historically considered staunch western allies such as Mexico, Colombia and, perhaps even more importantly, Middle-Eastern heavy weights like Saudi Arabia, UAE, or Turkey increasingly turning away from the west and embracing multipolarity. It feels like the Russian invasion has opened floodgates of resentment and frustration accumulating for decades and even centuries.
I don't understand why Russia is the saviour of the world when they invaded Ukraine! I'm sure that Ukraine never dominated any African country? The reason why Russia had invaded Ukraine was for Putin to rebuild the Russian empire!
I think it’s indirectly due to China’s BRI, BRICS, and similar forums. It gives reason for the many diverse non-western countries to discuss cooperation and solving their problems, but without western countries present. I think it indirectly allowed these countries to compare notes about what they’re told about each other, and realise some important stuff.
Last century’s decolonisation movement had something like that, when the printing press and faster travel by steam ship and the telegraph allowed colonised countries to compare notes and realise the extent of european imperialism over them all.
What the Russian invasion did, via the unprecedented response by the West to it, is increase the urgency to act to create alternatives to Western instruments, at least in finance and trade, if not also security.

I lived in Africa for 18 months & I fell in love with the continent and it's people. Africa shouldn't be poor, all the rich countries in Europe are stealing it's resources and getting richer at Africa's expense. Africans need to unite. Way too many factions within one country is still the major hindrance to their prosperity. Europeans can easily buy out a faction and use them against the force of good.
