As a Kenyan who has read extensively about the 94 genocide in Rwanda, I am convinced that Kagame is the best leader ever. Turned around his country's situation from desperate to exemplary against all odds. Rwanda is in my bucket list & will be the first African country I visit.

That’s what the defenders of this regime seem to be arguing. That human rights standards are some sort of European value system. No as this is about the oppression of Africans by Africans. If a European media outlet covers such injustice it’s accused of bias but if they ignore it it’s the same thing.

He is very right, especially when it comes to the mess that we have in Africa, most of them were caused directly or indirectly by the colonial masters - they should be the ones to be taken accountable and be honest and have meaningful conversations with Africans instead of judging!

Human rights and jailing political opponents aren't stuff you can argue on. The dumb reporter allowed him to make his sermon because her question was so naive and in general terms. Those are countries where the rule of law doesn't exist and where the dictator orders killings and jailing of thausands.
