Thank you for all your positivity and honesty!!! My family and I moved to northern Sweden last July from USA and your videos are helping us adjust. We love northern Sweden and miss parts of our lives in US, however your messages of gratitude and positivity are so valuable. Showing the good and the not so good but with gratitude always! Please keep doing what you are doing and wish you both all the very best!

My hometown ❤ Fun fact, the sidewalks in Luleå city (parts of the) are heated by waste heat from the iron manufacturing. Thats why they are dry even in the coldest winter.

I just moved to Luleå from the US almost 3 weeks ago. I've made trips here off and on for the past 16 years due to my then boyfriend who is now my husband. The best times to visit this city are in the summer and fall, just beautiful. I've been obsessed with the gorgeous "sunsets" since I arrived as the sun doesn't fully go down in the summertime, it's breathtaking! Just beware of the mosquitoes, they are brutal.

You haven't experienced the northern Swedish winter yet 🥶 Good luck ;) Welcome to Sweden.
Then you have darkness during the fall and winter.

@notsure9962 I have experienced the winter here before, I'm just not as fond of the cold lol. I know I'll miss the sun but the darkness gives the opportunity for the northern lights so I'm excited! And thank you!!

Don't worry about the "smoke" coming off the plane. It's just hot de-iceing fluid. Used to remove snow and ice before the flight.
Had it been snowing, they would have waited until right before take-off, but in clear weather they can do it before they board the plane.
Just normal winter operation. Nothing to worry about. :O)

Me and my girlfriend lives in Köping. When we first met she lived in Luleå and as a teenager she played basket there.

It's a nice trip to Luleå in the winter, I've done it a few times. It's funny that you let us follow the away games. You will get revenge on Luleå when you meet them at home. See you on Monday, then we will beat Norrköping.

@@therealwan It is, but when you live here year round the 24/7 light on the summer can be kinda jet-laggy, and the winter darkness takes its toll. But i totally agree, taken all together it's not a bad place to live. Are you coming back or staying in the states?

Airport security in Sweden really likes to take out stuff from bags and scan it again. I suppose their equipment is just old, or the operators untrained. The last time a flew, only a few days ago, they even took out my glasses, my keys (the key ring had a fob for the office alarm on it) and my online banking security devices. I also had to take off my wedding ring, believe it or not.

Oh wow. Pretty extreme measures but I guess they would rather be safe than sorry.
