Fun fact for ranged: In Black Rook Hold 2nd boss, if you get the eye beam mechanic, you can just spam jump in place and you won't take damage as you take damage per second and jumping allows you to spend less than one second standing in the eye beam.
Not really ground-breaking but it makes it easier to have space to move for affixes like Storming or something.
The potions on the ground during the Gorak Tul fight are used to burn the bodies of the adds he spawns to prevent them from resurrecting, if memory serves.
You walk over one, it gives you an extra action button, and you target the ground where the adds are piled or something like that. Probably only matters on particularly high keys or with particularly low-geared groups.
That is correct, but incomplete. The adds will stun group members for a long time (I think 10 seconds), and maybe do something else as well, so if they pile up, it's gonna be trouble. Usually the healer takes care of burning the bodies, so that the group can maximize dps on the boss.

That trinket is good for everyone, even at low ilvl.
If you press Fel Domination just before the key goes in, it resets its cooldown and you keep the buff when the key countdown starts, so you can quickly summon your pet and have Fel Domination ready.
Yeah I messed up and made a macro combining them both but that's not idea for the beginning of a key so I will fix this.
@@Dillisan FEl DOmination is instant, the reduced pet summon still takes half a second.
So if you are moving when pressing your macro, you just cast the feldom cd without using the buff. Works also when you are the keyholder, since you literally just have to take one step whilst using that macro ^^

looked through comments abit, but couldn't find anyone else sayinf this. When you get abit more comfortable you can start using your curses (of tongues, exhaustion and weakness) Curse of tongues in particular is VERY strong on some bosses and mobs especially if you amplify curse before it giving your group alot more time to kick. It works on all mobs that have interuptable casts. Hope this helps and keep it up! ^^

That shaman wasn't toxic until you responded to an innocent, helpful question with a needlessly passive-aggressive comment. He literally asked if you needed the item -- all you had to do was say "yes."

hunter is the same. i have to summon my pet at the start of every.single.key.for.fucking.years.
Just a quick possible tip for Waycrest, since you mentioned you may visit this place often. On the Lady boss stay as far away from the Lady as possible. Her "dance" mechanic supposedly targets 3 closest to her people (I did that today on my priest and it seemed to work, but maybe I was just lucky).

Some tips:
1. Never SoC without Unstable Affliction on the target
2. Prioritize UA, Vile Taint and Soul Rot over SoC spam, you can spam when the setup is done
3. Try to sync more your Vile Taint and Soul Rot cds.
I'll add to this. During the opener, it is okay to pre-cast/open with 1 SoC and pop it with your UA+haunt. Soc > UA > Haunt > vile taint > soul rot > eyeboi > SEED SPAM GOD. Then you want to try and keep agony alive on 3-4 targets if they're gonna life and you want to be able to line up as many dots as possible with your eye boi. So if that means holding onto Taint, and Rot for 30 seconds to line up, its okay to do. As you get more comfortable with how the dungeons are getting pulled, you'll eventually find yourself correctly holding cooldowns for bigger pulls, but pugs are unpredictable.
Whilst I very much appreciate the comments, I've only played this for two days and don't remember many of the ability names, so the acronyms will throw me off here :D
I had to lookup the spells to understand it all. It's possible that I was spamming SoC without UA, I will fix this. Vile Taint and Soul Rot I should be using together (when I can sync them up), I placed them next to each other on my bars to help with this.
I've not played this for very long and it will take time. But I will get there :)

@@Dillisanthere is a talent under Soul rot called soul eaters gluttony that reduces it cool down by 30 seconds. This makes it so vile Taint and soul rot line up perfectly.

Someone has already commented that fel dom CD gets reset on key start. But also, if you start a key with an active pet it gets removed and you have to cast it again. But if you sac it, that is a BUFF that does not get removed on keystart. TLDR, sac it before and forget about it.
warlock main here, played affli in season 2 to 2.5k rio and now demono 2.7k rio (meta slave :P)

Some advice to make affli go boom more, you got the right spec for it. (doomblossom at the bottom left of the tree)
on AOE open haunt and put Unending affli on mob then go seed spam you will go boom that makes an afghanisation terrorist jealous or seed and 1x vile taint on continue booming.
on singel target, your opening is good, but hold off your darkglare, you need to set up vile taint first and soul rot, after you can open darkglare. more extended dots.

I mean I play demo too, and it’s not really meta anymore, it’s just a really strong spec bc honestly I think the meta is more havoc, Aug and fire mage… surprise surprise fire mage is meta once again

Hey! Affliction is one of my favorites. Just fyi, you can cast fel domination before the key starts then quickly summon pet when key goes in, and still have fel domination off cd for another summon that way.

I had a 480 warrior join a normal Fyrakk kill. Rageheart dropped and he won the roll, yelled that he was selling it for 50k, and left. I wasn't tanking, but it sure leaves a bad taste, especially for the tanks, to see that happen. I just wish we'd go back to personal loot over rolling for non-guild runs.

On Demonology, you can use Eye of Kilrogg before the keystone is activated and you will keep your pet, if the pet is summoned beforehand ofc. Does this not work for Destro and Affli, cause i´m not sure, haven´t played both of these specs in M+. If it does, there´s your tip :D

Hey mate you are doing good ^^, I play aff for fun as well, the only thing you need to change in your talent is summon darkglare by tormented crescendo, It will add some difficulty to maintain your dots but it will give you free Malefic rapture when you drain so more ST dps :).
You Seem very entitled, worrying about what other people want or need. Also its standard for warlocks to put up summon or healthstone eithout having to be asked.

Trinkets are very specific in certain fights. Once you upgrade an LFR one it isn’t that much worse than a heroic one.
Fun fact for Rezan shadowmeld cancels it on EVERYONE not just if youre the one being pursuited

Hey! Second boss in BrH you can just stand in one spot and jump and miss every tick of the damage! That way you don't spread the fire everywhere and it becomes way more manageable!
I actually tried this as the ranged players I play with mentioned something about jumping on that boss, but I never asked. I didn't know when to jump and constantly jumping basically meant I did no damage so I stopped. I know how it works now though, thanks xD
on the pet thing: when ur about to start a key, you can channel eye of kil'rogg while its going off and you already have a pet active it will keep it active as the dungeon starts.

Probably won’t see this, but you can use fel domination before the key pops and it’ll still be active when the key starts, but it’ll be off CD already; allowing you to insta summon as well as still be able to quickly resuming in case you die quickly. For a nice defensives you can Dark Pact into mortal coil, or you can soulburn into healthstone. Yes, fel Hunter is what you sacrifice for M+, in raids you can do voidwalker for the extra defensive

I am an affliction main. 2.7k rio.
I will tell you the opener on aoe because watching this is burning my eyes lol.
UA > Haunt > Vile > Soul Rot > SoC
Single Target:
UA > Haunt > Corruption > Siphon Life > Vile > Soul Rot > Drain Til 3 Stacks > MF - Then maintain dots whilst MF.
If you have Crescendo talented (You should have) you may get procs which will boost your damage by a mile.
Don't take darkglare, its not worth it.
Burning your eyes? That's a bit harsh. The rotation I'm using is taken from wowhead and some videos I've been watching, they order things slightly different to what you state. They also recommend Darkglare. It's all incredibly overwhelming so I'm not gonna change any of the build, what you see is what you get :P
Hey Dilli! I got my 460 firemage and you are doing so much better than me. I just cant get used to ranged mechanics when you get interrupted every single cast, and if you need to kick some cast it ruins your whole rotation. Vengeance dh 3k main here)

if you use fel ddomination right before the key is started you have the reduced summon when you need to summon after key has started and the cd on fel domination is reset. = free fel domination

but from your last video i picked up my ilvl 370 lock and rolled affli, looks and feels super fun

M+ is always fel hunter, don't let anyone else tell you different and raid i always use imp, let the pallys do the interrupts 🤣. Pre SS someone before a key u get a free one if you do, dont always help but has 100% saved a brick in the past so its worth doing it, theres an addon to remind you if you keep forgetting.
The 2nd dungeon with the flasks is actually a healer job. so the DPS can maintain their DPS on Goruk Tul.
One thing I’m noticing is you’re saying you’re getting boosted and you can’t keep up on damage but you’re not saying they’re ilvl compared to yours. They could be 460 and you 450. That’s a decent difference. From one lock player to another.
@Dillisan in m+ you should usually sacrafice the felhunter for an interupt. If you dont need an interupt, like in some raid bosses, then you wa t to sacrafice the voidwalker, as it gives you a nice defensive ability that increases your hp.
I have often been top on interrupts so... :D

also for the 2nd boss beam in BRH you can just jump in the same spot, until its over, not sure if intended but has worked for the last few weeks for me or you can draw some lines whichever you prefer.

You can precast fel domination before the key is put in and it won't go on cooldown but you still can use it to summon your pet faster

Does anyone else randomly have the Grimore of sacrafice button constantly reset without dying in m+?
That Throne of Tides Gauntlet hurts alot if you do not let that dot drop off. Normally my tank will pull 1st sentry with trash, than wait for 2nd to pat up to the goblins and hit them their, than last the 2 at the door. If yo uwait a few secs for that ticking dot to drop off it doesn't hurt as much as you actually might live.
btw you can sac your pet before you activate the key. Also if you get shadows embrace on your target it will then make you seeds do more dmg to everything

ALL specs can go KSH. However affliction is one of the worst specs in the game right now. It lacks a massive single target damage profile which u will not have during tyrannical weeks.

I raid mythic as an ele shaman and my man in LFR probably went just to get that trinket. It might actually be better than branch even with the ilvl difference since branch has fallen pretty hard in our sims and belor'relos is our bis, but it really doesnt make sense when you can get a few better trinkets from m+. Needing on augury was just troll though its not good and never has been whereas its better or bis for many other specs. Some people just like to collect trinkets even though they'll put on the same 2 and forget to swap ever again. I even passed up on a heroic augury in my vault for mythic tier this week and I don't have belor'relos.

use fel dom before u start the key, the effect will carry over and fel dom cd will reset
If You have your grimoir activ, You Dont need to resum pet,grimoir lasts over Start
Also You can use your pet skill while pet is activ
Maybe You have to Check keybind If its binded in one or the other state
But with elvui never Had a issue with
It's actually been resetting for me but others have mentioned a solution to this (can't remember off the top of my head but I made notes).
I do use my pet skill, it's on the bottom bar closer to the right, an Interrupt that's crucial for M+.
Btw in Throne of the Tides you should NOT use AOE abilities at the Sentry. If there is no Sentry you can aoe everything down, but if you are fighting a Sentry and you kill the Corruption mobs, each of them give you a stack of a debuff when they die which makes the AOE attack of the Sentry hit harder. So you just ignore them and ST the Sentry down first. I did that mistake as well at the beginning and it did not turn out well xD
At 17:40 your group has 16 debuffs, no wonder you are all almost dying. Also the Corruptions just spawn passively, I don't think the tank can pull less there.
As ranged on the 2nd boss in BRH if the beam targets you just jump up and down on the spot and it does no damage.

@Dillisan well as a caster I'm sure it doesn't help much, I main a restro shaman so I really don't have to move to heal much so it's nice to just drop a single puddle in the corner. You have to spam the space bar which I'm sure sucks for a Afflic lock lol

@@Dillisan There's a small delay between you moving, the beam following you, the beam actually dropping the puddle, and the puddle actually ticking for damage. You can stutter step and cast pretty easily without moving too much.

Never played aff and it looks like loads of fun because its different. In big pulls do you have to dot every target individually? Or is there a way to dot the whole pull like shadow crash on shadow priest for example.
Vile Taint is the warlock equivalent of shadow crash. It applies agony on 8 targets in the target area which is important because agony ticks give you soul shards. You then spend shards on Seed of Corruption, which deals uncapped AOE damage and applies corruption to everything hit.
As far as loot is concerned, in the end everyone is allowed to need on things for whatever reason.
We all pay the same sub for this game.
So if the shaman needs it to sell, shard, vendor or smear his boogers on the trinket... he has every right to do so.
That said, it is utterly frustrating to have that happen to you and if it were up to me we'd have personal loot back in LFR yesterday.

Remove the Siphon Life for the AB Corruption tbh.
It's so awkward to juggle that SL in, on AoE .. and you get far more value from not having to do that tbf.
Also, UA(Unstable Affliction) > Seed 1x > VT(Vile Taint) > SR(Soul Rot) > Seed spam!
Watch the carnage happen and things dieing monster quick!
SL buffs MR, though. You don't gain anything in AoE because Seed reups Corruption and unless you only have like two or three targets you're not gonna be SLing on trash anyway.

I'Ll do you one better with the LFR rolls. A few weeks ago i rolled 100 on a tset and someone else did as well. I was curious how it works out and then i just randomly got the item handed to me, while the other guy just straight up lost the coinflip. Things are rough :D
Also, since I'm playing lock currently as well, you do absolutely not need to sum your pet after the key started. I just get the sacrifce buff before i even put in the key, and it stays intact. If I don't die, i got the same buff rolling in the next key too.

Use Burning Rush if you can't catch up i see you have the button and its a permanent sprint definetly recommended :)
What Plater-profile do you use?
The toxicity in m+ is just atrocious. That's why stopped pugging ages ago, I just do runs with my guildies and take one random person in the worst-case scenario. If we're going to have a pug and not looking for a big push as a guild rule we always look for off meta specs and try to help out low geared players. I remember trying to gear my rogue only through m keys during BFA, some people in wow community really need to get their heads checked.

That's an addon called: Narcissus
mostly felhunter unless an additional dispel on some boss / trash packs would be more beneficial. Can swap felhunter for Succubus on ST bosses and felhunter for imp on bosses with adds (but this is minor)
At mouse over macros for soulstone, shadowfury will help, forget the sacrifice pet it's not worth it. Think about your personal teleport it's useful for every fight in some way but have to pre place it usually. Dark pact is just awesome.
I do actually have mouseovers setup. Why is Sacrificing your pet not worth it? Many Warlock players have commented saying I should be and this is also what I've seen the top Warlocks do in keys. Utility will get better with time, let me get the core rotation down first :P
@@Dillisan try a run with and without see what happens. Might be worth it for you, but not so much for me at least.

@@Dillisan I don't sacrifice my pet I tried comparing runs and it didn't really make a lot of difference for me, even tho on paper it does. Best to find out what works for you through testing, I often find the cookie cutter build don't perform the best for me because I am not in the 1%. Sometimes other builds can give you more DPS based on how you play and the situation in the gameplay and the way others play.

honestly, I dont have a clue what the potion is for either, I dont think its overly important tho since ive been having groups completly ignore in on tyranical at +20s, I think its to do with adds, but the adds dont do much anyways
The adds will stun a group member for like 10 seconds if not hard cc'd, so it can become a problem. Usually healers handle the adds, and I'd be surprised if they hadn't done that.
Chances are a member of the team dealt with it but you can deffo brute force a lot of thing this season compared to last season until you reach a certain level.
@@Dillisan To me, this season feels more brutal than the last, especially trash, but you can still bruteforce a lot of boss mechanics with high enough dps. I'm just not convinced that the adds are such a mechanic at +20 tyrannical levels. Either way, the healer should be able to handle it quite easily.
Once you get your 457 neck, you can upgrade your current neck up to 457 for "'free" (no crest cost)
Currently one of your biggest weaknesses rotation wise is that you need to systematically cast Soul Rot together with Vile Taint (and Vile Taint alone every 2 casts) and extend both of them with the Darkglare.
Yeah the rotation will come with time, barely spent any time on the Warlock so its still early :)
I've randomly came across your videos and they're really entertaining and I've always found pve to be boring (never done raids past lfr or mythic plus stuff) and I am playing sod atm, on retail I do pvp always have with wow but man I'd love to have a go at this. Only thing that frustrates me is the key + stuff makes absolutely no sense i started in wrath and stopped in wod and came back for DF but didn't enjoy it so went on sod but man if someone would sit me down and explain in baby terms what keys are and why u need them and basically the whole works I'd love to give pve a go
