    What questions do you have about selling on Amazon? Would you like to see more Amazon content in the future? Thanks for watching!! 🤗

      Questions from me: how much have you made from Amazon in your first few months?! And what would you say has been the additional time commitment for each part (finding the items, researching, shipping, etc.) 🥰🎉 so YES to more Amazon content!!!

      @@EssentialEndeavours I've only done $412 in sales since starting but I have been taking it slow. I wanted to wait until I had some money back until I invested into more inventory (as I mentioned it took a month for the items to go live on Amazon). Uhhh I would say it takes 23-30 minutes to process the inventory and ship it depending on the amount going out at one time. I have spent around 1.5 hours a week sourcing for Amazon. This is all coming from a beginner so i'm sure people can find a lot more in less time and process inventory much quicker. There is definitely a learning curve at the beginning.

      @@faithhommes3902 Why didn't you pick shipping out yourself? What's the best thing to do? If I send them to amazon I won't be able to sell them on poshmark anymore.. I have one single listing up on amazon and I know nothing about it

      @@HollywoodingNews Great question! For others reading, you also have the option to do Amazon Merchant Fulfilled (MF). MF is when you sell products on Amazon but keep them at your house and ship them yourself when they sell. I chose not to do this because I need a way to scale my reselling business from a small space. I dont have room in my apartment to hold inventory. I am also looking for ways to do this with my Poshmark business. Another reason is time. Though you still need to process and ship the inventory for Amazon FBA, you don't need to communicate with buyers, package each sale individually and ship (plus with Amazon FBA you can travel and still make sales with out your business taking a hit). I personally think of Poshmark and Amazon as two separate businesses.

    I have a question, how do they handle returns on Amazon? What if a customer uses the product and then sends it back? How does Amazon handle that? Or what if the customer sends another product back instead of the original one? Would you be out of money when that happens or does Amazon cover that?

    • @faithhommes3902
      @faithhommes3902  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am not 100% sure if I’m being completely honest. It hasn’t happened to me yet but I will definitely keep you updated when I run into this! (I know it was covered in the course but I forgot 🥴) I am prepared to lose money on damaged inventory for Amazon and also posh/eBay. Damages is something every business has to account for.

    I've been thinking about doing FBA for awhile and haven't quite taken the leap. Did you register as a business or a sole proprietor?

    • @theosounds3867
      @theosounds3867 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On amazon seller central, you have to register as an individual business but it doesn't cost anything. You have to schedule an appointment on live video to confirm you exist with an amazon representative, but that's all you need to do to really start your account.

    Hey Faith! Thanks for sharing... Now I'm really interested in getting into this! I was curious, have you made any profits yet from initial investments (product, shipping cost, etc)?

    • @faithhommes3902
      @faithhommes3902  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have made $412 in sales and $124.05 of that is profit (FBA fees and COG subtracted). That doesn't include the monthly platform fee and shipping to Amazon. I will say though that I haven't sent a whole lot of stuff in yet. I am taking it slow because I wanted to wait till I saw a profit before investing in more inventory. I am also doing Poshmark/eBay full time so I need to find a balance with how much time and inventory I invest in each. I also will note that those are sales and profit from not amazing things as a beginner seller so there is much more potential but this could be what you can expect when you are starting out.

  • @CatEyedGoddess

    I use to sell on Amazon but those fees. And they cost me a lot of money in 4th quarter. I left it after a year.

      Did you use fulfilled by merchant?

    • @CatEyedGoddess
      @CatEyedGoddess 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@theosounds3867 No, I was doing FBA and got an email from AMZ that I was able to sell toys in fourth quarter. So I did my research and was able to get really good toys cheap. Then AMZ changed their minds and told me I was not able to sell toys for 4th quarter and they suppressed my listings. Once they released me, everything was saturated and super cheap. I donated the stuff, took a huge loss and was done with AMZ after that.

      The app is the "Amazon Seller App" in the app store.It has a black background with a white Amazon tag. I dont't think you need an account to use the lens feature! You just click the camera on the top right corner to scan an item

    This is very interesting and a bit confusing! So when you send items in single quantities, Amazon combines the same products into one listing. If someone buys it, it can be your item or someone else's? And it's not the same as an affiliate link with Amazon items? Have you looked into a private label where you could order the product online that can be shipped directly to Amazon?

    • @faithhommes3902
      @faithhommes3902  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is very confusing! Yes, everything you said is correct. There are different sellers with the same product on one Amazon listing. So 33 people can all be selling the same Windex bottle and Amazon chooses who the sale goes to (winning the buy box). You are basically just supplying the inventory for Amazon. It is not the same as affiliate links. I have looked into private label/drop shipping but it takes a lot of cost upfront and it has a LOT more risk involved. I would potentially do it in the future but definitely not to start.
