STIHL MS200T ... 10 MINUTES OF THE "GOAT"... JCS ported/Custom 200s

  • I honestly can't say how many 200s I've had my hands on... I would guess over 500... ive ported and customized over 250 so counting straight up repairs as well... definitely more than a few... all OEM... zero Chinese parts... all ported and machined... the "Limb Reaper" builds are 020 cylinders and converted to 1/4" pitch chain.... those that follow me know my favorite saw of all time is the MS250 for totally different reasons but my vote for the PERFORMANCE pound for pound champ is the 200T without a doubt... the badge alone is worth 1.6 million dollars...

Love the 200's , the way those saws run is incredible. I pretty much started on rebuilding 200's . Not porting just bringing them back to life and freshen them up. May be my favorite saw. Wish I had some of them ones I sold back haha. Yours look and run incredible my man!

@@johnscustomsaws yeah I actually watched your latest 200t vid to figure out what I was supposed to do in the first place! But that’s what happens when you just fly by the seat of your pants and start putting fasteners into holes and hoping it comes together in the end 😂😂 you see I’ve slapped together many a 660, 460, 440, 361, 360, heck even a couple 372’s... so why wouldn’t I think to myself... this has to be at least a little similar to those right?! Yeah not so much 😂😂

@@johnscustomsaws I don’t blame them one bit! Like I said, at least when it comes to the “0” and the “MS0” generations of pro level chainsaws (046, and MS460 for example) if you have built from scratch one of them, you can just about build any of them, figuring out which fasteners go in which specific holes is the most difficult part for a beginner IMHO, a couple steps in the process certainly can be a little intimidating, for instance, many guys get scared installing the crank and crank seals for the first time. But but besides that, any person that has a little bit better than average wrench turning skill, can definitely, at the very least, get a saw
Build to fire up! Which is a very addicting thing! I cut my saw building teeth on the ever addicting Farmertec Complete box of parts that could technically be used to build your own saw kits, And I tell you what, when that fricken 660 popped on the 3rd pull then roared to life on the 4th, it’s like in that magic moment in time, every last star in all the universe was in its perfect alignment, a beam of pure ecstasy was shot down from the heavens directly into my brain and my soul crushingly powerful addiction to kit building had taken ahold of me.
My ole lady says that I should write and sell poetry 😂😂
But seriously, after building piles of all these big saws, trying to build a top handle is like trying to read Korean! Although maybe not as weird as metaphorically speaking the “stihl” saw building language and then trying to speak “Husqvarna” without any help! The Germans and the Swedes definitely came to different conclusions when trying to answer the question “how do you build a kickass chainsaw?”
I’ll stop talking now. You rock brother! Keep it up!

In my years of working on saws I can say without a doubt the 250 is way tougher and way better than it should be.... its like nobody told the 250 its a plastic clam shell homeowner saw... they are tough as hell and so ridiculously popular it seems almost everyone has one... I worked at a stihl and husky dealership for years and whenever someone didn't know what they wanted but they just wanted "a saw" i would set them up with a 250 (unless they needed a bigger saw) and not one time did i have anyone that wasn't happy with it... I will have to do a video on it some day again

Lol trust me I could build my dream shop with wadded up aluminum ive dug out if my burs... ever try cutting wax? I got some choke tube grease for shotguns and muzzle loaders... but the easiest way is to have a wire wheel on your bench top grinder at all times and hit the bit with the wire wheel and run the tool backwards if you can... it takes it right out... otherwise even running it forward and using the grinder and wire wheel

They definitely have a cult following and they are hyped up but still they are the best power to weight saw made... I have pinned them up against every top handle head to head and have not found one that can beat it in a decent size cut... the husky 338 was super close and with smaller cuts the 2511T is faster because of the chain speed.. but when u get to bigger 8" cuts and up especially hardwood they are unbeatable
