Hey Arron, in creating view ports, I usually create one to start with, for example, plan or top down> then I copy that viewport and drag it down so it’s in-line with plan view and then change the content to an elevation view. Occasionally when I change view ( both at same scale) the copy will shift over to the right or left. No longer in-line ( contents that is) with contents of the original viewport. I know it has to do with positioning of model back in SU. How do you recommend setting up scenes so this shift doesn’t occur in layout? Zoom extents, zoom all, etc???? Thanks

I'm trying to figure out how to zoom and move inside the model view. At around 9:30 you say to double-click inside the model view to do this, but when I double-click nothing happens. Am I missing something?
So how do I measure the tiny feature like door and windows without 'breaking it down' in Sketchup? I'd like to see something like isolate group and hide the rest.
How is that grid visible underneath the objects but not on top of them? What I see in "document options" are only two options that permit to a). draw the grid under the viewport or b). show it also in viewport BUT also to draw it (in contrast) over the entire model.
Can you make videos about : - How can Sketchup Drawings be used for PPA's and Patend's Drawings ? In my opinion : Inventers an Produkt Developers would like to know more about "Sketchup" - Drawings
Can someone help me with my problem? I'm experiencing now a problem with my model. It is not appearing in my layout when i tranfer my model from sketchup. And there's an exclamation point on bottom right side of my viewport. I've already set my autorender, but nothing happens. Anyone can help me with? Im using sketchup and layout 2020
It is hard to follow because the video resolution is about 1/2 of your screen. Also sad to see Apple being used. I will never run an Apple anything and neither will most of the world. Thanks for putting it up.
Totally agree, Apple is ridiculously over priced and copy righted software and not at all versatile, Windows and android devices, open source software can run every application out there.
Sounds like a potential issue with your model. The best way to get help would be to post to our forum (forums.sketchup.com). TH-cam comments section is a horrible place to try to troubleshoot modeling problems.
Layout is a great tool for construction documentation, however sketchup need to be move on from just a 3D modelling software to a BIM software like ACCA software doing with there edificius software, Aaron i recommended you please take a look at edificius its truly a BIM software.. Sketchup need to be change with time, if sketchup team refuse to do so they will lag in race.. Time of 3D is over, its BIM time.. Thank you
Thank you Aron. I have two question -first how can I change language in LayOut - by mistake I got Swedish in SketchUp and in LayOut - managed to change in SketchUp but not in LayOut. I want it in English as most tutorials are in English. If you could give some hints on this it would be great. As I do garden design drawings I have my plantlists in Excel and I have managed to import it as a tabel in LayOut - but I would like to keep the format I have in Excel (with every second row in color, text styles etc) also in LayOut - can you give me some tip on this, please?

I'm having an issue with the Label tool in Layout. Sometimes it puts a box around the label and sometimes it doesn't. Any quick fixes? Thanks.

why when in RASTER image looks more like in model then when re render in HYBRID in my case one section fill is wrong

Sketchup+Layout are powerful software..but its need to be move on from just being 3D to 7D...
