One of my relatives just picked up a dark grey manual one. It is such an odd sensation hearing the engine right behind your head with the top down. First mid engine car I have experienced in person.
The maintenance is, can be done at affordable prices, diy , and search around for another Porsche mechanic enthusiast. My 2006 boxster s has been pretty full, reliable, and it's so fun especially in paradise, HAWAII! Nz , Polynesia is made for this convertible. Do your research, homework and get that Porsche....... cheese huuuu! Do it, aloha from Hawaii!
2009 = new engines AND transmissions. My 2006 2.7 tiptronic had better sounding motor at 5k+ than 2009 2.9 PDK. Suspension pre 2009 was better too. Yes get manual but manual shifting PDK is decent. 1999 cable throttle 911 manual IS more engaging/involving but if going to get stuck in traffic, 50+ clutch engagements loses its charm
PDK's are not reliable after 100 K Km cost a lot to repair and still won't feel OK, on the other side, a manual can have clutch issue and it is way cheaper, easier to fix. my opinion after 2 manuals (boxter-996) no prob against 3 pdk (718-cayenne-911turbo)first 2 dead and turbo sold at 80K to give the hot potato to someone else.. the next one will be manuel for me !!
_Very cool review 😎 👏🏼 love Porsche ❤_
Thanks

Yeah it’s cool aye
@@KiwiCarLife It is! But I don’t think I could live in one everyday. I much prefer a spacious vehicle where I can put all my belongings in daily.
Excellent video 😊
Thanks
Are these expensive to maintain? Are they reliable? I am in NZ as well .
Apparently they’re not bad, ims bearings though

Lol
coudl you do a review on the hyundai tiburon. they are old cars (ish) cars btu it would be cool to see one on the channel
Perhaps
Nice review mate, do you think you would prefer the Boxster pdk or the Z4 you owned?
Yeah for sure
Happy B’day mate! 🎉
Haha thanks man
Is 2nd gear in PDK shorter then manual? I hate that long ass gearing that can’t use in town
Given it’s a 7 speed I’d assume so?
thats a very cool toyota zzw30 mr2
Aye
FYI, the Boxster S went to 3.4 at the end of 06. I know, have one in my garage. And to answer your question- the 6 speed manual, of course.
Mmm yes lovely car
Magnificent
Thanks
Manual for me - always. Its just so much more fun…
Agree
Donald duck would be a fan of those rear balloons on the cayman
lol

I wouldn’t even consider buying an automatic Porsche anything
you've driven a porsche and a subaru 3.0r
how similar is the sound u reckon?
Not really comparable. Subaru is a much more harsh sound I reckon, but both sound great in their own way
Would have one with a manual all day over the auto's. Still the pdk is good it's just that it has those awkwardly designed paddles
Yeah agree

Yeah I’d go manual I reckon
Know many with pdk over 100k miles.
Mine is 70k miles and stil no isseus
The amount of times this car has been for sale haha!
Yeah it’s been up a bit
Haah you launch down the same street as i do
Yuuurs
Close your eyes and that's an ez30 btw
Almost yeah
Lol massive Porsche fan, but I must say I have my reservations about this hair dressers car! Great video mate.
Thanks
Nobody who has driven one says that. They are extraordinarily good cars.
@@paulguitar100 yeah definitely
Yep, standard line from someone that's never been in one. What do you drive?
