    Wow, so beautiful! On our backpacking trip this weekend, we saw quite a few mountain bikes on the mountain trails, including some eBikes like yours. Would’ve been tough riding. What you were riding there looked very advanced! Love the “turn right on the A12”!!! Great video as always! Happy hiking!!

    Well i took your advice and didn't wait till next year, after 5 months gradually acquiring kit from sales and bargain bins, I now have enough to be well equipped for day hikes and any be prepared for any weather. I have been on several 8 / 9 hour walks and although in a boringly flat part of the country have found enough lovely bits of county side within an hours drive. not quite sorted for overnight camping yet but getting there, thanks so much for the inspiration and the encouragement to get out there, as said before, watching yours and a couple of other channels has really re-ignited my passion for the outdoors, look forward to watching the rest of your trip. Cheers guys

    Great to see your latest episode. I lived and worked in a mountain centre near Port Madoc in my early twenties for about three years, loads of climbing mountaineering and canoeing, happy days North Wales has a special place in my heart, no bike trails in those days but explored on 175cc Enduros when the park rangers weren't looking. Thanks for sharing and look forward to seeing the rest of your holiday, stay safe and best regards Paul D

    Hi Austin and Lucy, first to comment !, well it seems the start of your holiday was blessed with lovely weather and a nice place to park up for the evening, When I was younger I would have loved to have progressed from my Raleigh Chopper Bike with cowhorn handlebars to one of these electric trail bikes, but alas all i had was my 26" sit up and beg bike with Sturmey Archer 3 speed gears complete with Karimoor Panniers on the front and back wheels and a matching map bag on the handlebars, it served me very well with camping trips to places like Long Mynd, The Clee Hills, in Shropshire, Youth Hostel Trips to Ludlow, Wilderhope Manor, Llangollen, Bakewell, Buxton, no GPS to guide me along the way, just my trusty os map and maybe a compass, how things have changed, Nowadays I have a smartphone with the full 1:50.000 OS Maps on there along with Memory Maps and I understand many GPS's come preloaded with them, These days I have a DJI action cam, a Drone which someone bought me for my birthday recently and it still hasn't been out of the box cos I don't know what I'm doing with it but I have been assured that help is not far away, I was in a Rambling club for many years, how I would have loved to have had all these high tech gadgets back in the 70's, so yes A & L its great to see you on these bikes with all the gizmo's, cameras straddling your helmets and all of you looking super fit, I did send you an email on the 26th August but then you mentioned that you were going on holiday for a couple of weeks, anyway nice interesting video, lots of super views, and looking forward to part two, cheers guys, catch you soon.....Mike

    • @2FeetForward
      @2FeetForward  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mike . We had a great time on this trip and only had a couple of wet days over the two weeks . Yes modern tech is amazing . There’s still a lot of nay sayers out there when it comes to things like gps. I love it and rarely use a map when we’re out nowadays, so it’s the map and compass that’s the back up now. My Garmin for the bike is incredible. I can drop a pin anywhere in the UK and it will navigate me via bridleways , forest roads and cycle ways perfectly . If you want to go for a road ride and want to do 25 miles you can hit a button and it will give you a choice of 25 mile circular routes back to your door. It really is amazing. I need to sort out a better system for riding with as the mic is quite awkward on the bike and the camera is heavy mounted up there. I have to tighten the helmet so much it leaves dents in my head ! .
      I loved the old chopper . I had a Raleigh commando then built up an old tracker bike which was the early mountain bike really . 8 speed racer frame with cow horns and knobbly tyres , such a good bike and what started it all off for me . You certainly got around on your bike by the sounds of it.
      I don’t remember seeing your email to be honest but I may well have emptied my mail without realising so sorry if that’s the case .
      I wouldn’t worry about getting the drone out , you’ll be amazed how user friendly they are. I think they are set in beginner mode to start with anyway so you’ll be fine. Hope Clare is well .

    @nedders8615 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Awesome! Love it up there, you can get on to the old railway line that’s been converted to a path and ride out to a nice pub on the estuary and on to Barmouth,

    • @2FeetForward
      @2FeetForward  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks . Is that the one that leads to the old burnt down pub and past the bunkhouse? I think we may have ridden it from Trwsfynnyd (badly spelt) to The bike centre years ago before the pub went up ?
