  • An awesome full McAdam Sub chase of a big NBSR stack train 121 video 4 of 8!
    An awesome sounding horn on the 6401 as it rounds the S curve at Enniskillen!
    New Brunswick Southern Railway locomotives 6401 (ex Norfolk Southern EMD SD70M-2), 6409 (ex NS EMD SD70M-2 Maine Northern livery), and 6417 (ex NS EMD SD70M-2 Eastern Maine livery) power a very long intermodal stacktrain NBSR 121 (West Saint John, NB NBSR Ponderosa Yard to Brownville Junction, Maine) westbound passing through Enniskillen, NB hauling 143 cars (478 axles) of intermodal containers and empty woodchip gondolas on a mostly sunny afternoon.
    Filmed at 5:36pm, Monday May 13, 2024 at mile 34.13 of the NBSR McAdam Subdivision.

    Nice catch. I've noticed the horns are louder when the trains are pulling up the grade from the Island Yard to the Falls Bridge, I can heard them quite well from my place on St. George St. on the Lower Westside of Saint John.

    K5LL Standard on SD70ACE & AH locos. Most sound nice like that one.
