  • This video demonstrates the sand casting process for a miniature aluminum radiation warning sign. Some of the materials used are Petrobond sand, scrap aluminum, 2 part jewelers flask, and a propane forge.

    That turned out great.. I love casting flasks! They completely changed how I sand cast.

      @@DamonsMetalCasting i do mostly costuming, and I try and limit my casting videos to once a month, but most of my metal work is relatively elaborate.

    Great video and awesome cast. Good explanation on the jewelry flask with venting. I only use 2 scratch vents and never had any issues. I also clamp in the middle of the flask. 🤣. No issues so far

      Thanks for the advice. Its just me being paranoid and fearing the cast will fail if I don't get that air out. Its good to know even 2 is adequate.
