4:30 "It looks like it's a little bit mouse eaten." Now I'm just imagining that in the 30 years while he had it in his garage it was haunted by deadites too, the mice found the cabin and had their own little horrifying adventure.
I think the screen porch really looks real. It would be tough to find the perfect screen with just the right spacing to look real. Amazing work. I really love these miniature and model videos.
OK I'm crazy jealous, Evil Dead 2 is one of my favorite movies, I have the cover tattooed on my forearm. What a cool job being able to house and curate these amazing objects!
This bloke is good, knows his good stuff and can keep a good conversation going. More sections & interviews with him would be a welcome addition to this channel. As for Evil Dead II, it's been a while since I saw that and might watch it having seen this.
This is simply fantastic, I'm a huge fan of the Evil Dead Franchis (and really enjoy building scale model myself) So watching an old model like that is pure magic. Really inspiring, I just think I got a great idea for my next project ;) Thank you so much for posting this.
Same. You see it from the front and it doesn't look that big. But seeing it all sprawled out like this while they walk around it, and that is a really good sized cabin.
I love to build in G scale along with my grandson. Its a great hobby too.Even better seeing your grandkids getting into using some math to figure out scale when he went to share his ideas.
Dude, that is awesome! I would love to see that thing in person. I absolutely love that movie. The making of the films is such a wonderful book to read.
I love the Evil Dead Series! I started with Army of Darkness, not knowing it was the 3rd movie. Took me a minute, but I got around to the seeing 1 and 2.
Adam Savage has not worked a day in his life. A wise man once told me that if you do what you love for a living you will never work a day in your life. Adam sure loves what he does, work isn't work when you have that much fun doing what your doing. Keep doing what you do Adam because we love watching what you do just as much as you do doing it. Cheers!
The Evil Dead was filmed not far from here (Knoxville, TN), in Morristown. I think part of the fireplace / chimney are still there. On a side note, Harrison Ford has been spotted in Knoxville, on his way to Morristown.
I recently thought about how Adam was kind of like Norm Abram, passing on his shop knowledge. Then I realized he likes to pepper in life lesson like Bob Ross. Adam also has a passion and excitement on the level of Steve Erwin. Not to mention, kids of this era have fondness for him; admitting him into the same club as LeVar Burton and Fred Rogers. His interviewing skills are on par with Alan Alda. And his love for creating and spreading happiness is equal to Jim Henson's. It all makes sense seeing how Adam got his start on PBS.
I am kind of a tough nut. I got my skull crushed, was in a coma and, when I woke up, got out of bed and looked for pants because I felt 'good enough' to go home. But seeing the ED2 cabin model made me weak at the knees like a high school cheerleader on prom night! What a GREAT model from a FANTASTIC movie (not as good as ED1 but that's another debate).
Having worked at a craft store... If you get all new materials ~$75. That includes a few small hand tools. But this project is a good one for reclaimed materials.
That's what I was thinking when Adam was talking about where to display it. Kid's bedroom. Therapy not included. Also got me thinking about a scale model of a book to go with it..
I WANT THAT……….. need showroom big enough for it. Better yet cause I’m this will go for small fortune, I’d like to build my own if there plans somewhere for it. This is from a B horror movie that everyone should have in their collection.
Great stuff! I'm not actually an Evil Dead fanatic, but scale models are great in general. Seeing this thing kinda makes me want to make a movie location or building myself. I don't have the tools, nor skills, so it probably won't happen, but maybe some day.
You can make stuff with foam board and paint and other cheap craft supplies. Check out some of the stuff that dnd and miniatures youtubers make with just foam and you’ll get inspired
how about glass box as say coffee table etc. Center place for living room or hotel lobby, lot of possibilities PS. never heard that movie before, that house simply is so "cool" looking that it self would sell it place and given story.. sure
Actually, that would be his right, left for us ;) But yeah, that reminds me of the US household power socket, it looks like that Pikachu meme face, shocked and unhappy or scared at the same time.
I know the filming set hasn't been kept, that got destroyed filming the scene were Ash gets sprayed with blood from the walls after shooting his severed hand. It was LITERALLY the last scene they shot.
You say good things often found in crates... Well what is in that giant crate behind you? Love that model. Wonder if its from the ending when they are sucked into the vortex?
OMG don't you please want to move to South Africa and hire me as your... well anything you require me to do, as long as I can walk around with you every time you go to places viewing things like this and all the other stuff you do and go see? You honestly do what I wish I could do every single day, maybe some day.

Can you simulate gravity and have Magnetic Kinetic Energy?
@RR PLAN C LMAO calm down garfield. That upset you went away for two hours then came back to call bs? grow up xD ffs.
Given the current housing market this one is valued at $3,500,000
🎯
.....while the lot it sits on resembles the inside of a crate and it's views are really dark most of the time.
If it was in Sydney it'll cost more than that 🤣
Without interior, ofc!
well, its in California, so mark that up x10
4:30 "It looks like it's a little bit mouse eaten." Now I'm just imagining that in the 30 years while he had it in his garage it was haunted by deadites too, the mice found the cabin and had their own little horrifying adventure.
LOL! Can you imagine a little mouse with a streak of grey and a mini chainsaw for a paw?
Underatted comment. I absolutely love this visual, mate.
I could watch Adam geek out over props like this for hours
Hail to the King, baby!
Absolutely love these movies, and would love to own a piece like this.
"The bottom was cut out for access"
Witch it the basement - I'll swallow your soul, I'll swallow your soul!
"Who in my FRUIT CELLAR!"
DEAD BY DAWN! DEAD BY DAWN!
Ash - Swallow this.
Dude dressed like Ash for this bit.
His pants aren't brown. 😂
@@x1984x cus he hasn’t had the shit scared out of him yet.
Too many hands.
The real reason for the crate is to keep contained what is in the house which would come out and haunt you at night.
It'll swallow your soul!
Sam Raimi wind noises
@@johnbeauvais3159 It's not authentic unless Sam Raimi is beating you with branches. BTS reference.
Dead by dawn!
"Join Usssssss"
I bet Bruce Campbell would get a kick out of seeing this prop. He seems like that kind of guy.
I mean who else has a movie set on their ranch?
I think the screen porch really looks real. It would be tough to find the perfect screen with just the right spacing to look real. Amazing work. I really love these miniature and model videos.
It looked like panty hose to me lol
Or noseeum mesh like tent windows use, it wouldn't stretch like pantyhose, and I think is finer mesh
@@davidhogue100 oh yeah good call

One of the best movies ever!
Decided to watch it rn cause of this video haha
New one day build idea for Adam! We’ll throw in couple extra days I suppose.
Ha!
OK who is donating the land and wood lot, so he can do a full size "one day build"!
@@LegoTux nope, a copy of that prop. full size would be better, lol
This bloke is good, knows his good stuff and can keep a good conversation going. More sections & interviews with him would be a welcome addition to this channel.
As for Evil Dead II, it's been a while since I saw that and might watch it having seen this.
I believe it's available on Hulu
Brandon has been in many videos over the years. Prop Store has an auction every year, and Adam always makes a few videos to showcase what they have.
This is simply fantastic, I'm a huge fan of the Evil Dead Franchis (and really enjoy building scale model myself) So watching an old model like that is pure magic. Really inspiring, I just think I got a great idea for my next project ;) Thank you so much for posting this.
One of my favorite movies, I can recall the shoots it would be used in. Never realised how deep the model is
Same. You see it from the front and it doesn't look that big. But seeing it all sprawled out like this while they walk around it, and that is a really good sized cabin.

I love how exciting he gets over this kind of stuff....so much fun
Yayayayayay
excited*
I'm sure people are wondering about the price...This sold at auction on 6/29/2021 for $27,500.
Thank you!
The irony is that's about how much an actual small cabin would cost if sold in the 80's.
Literally just watched this movie again last NIGHT! Woah!
I want, I NEED THAT CABIN!! I'M IN LOVE WITH EVIL DEAD!!
These two are really good together. I could listen to them talk all day.
I grew up just down the road from the cabin from the first movie. In my top 5 film franchises.
Love it.
Bruce needs to see this
This reminds me of a time I was small and went to this awesome but expensive place of a miniature town just for kids.
Cool piece! The only thing it's missing is the front porch swing...
Looks like some pieces have fallen off. I saw some shutters missing, but old glue is still there. Maybe the swing is lost to time
I like the twigs used for the front porch support! 😆
I wanted to build this LOL. I've screen capped so many parts of these movies 1-2 trying to get accurate view map of the Cabin. Thank you!!!
I love the Evil Dead series - this is amazing!
One of my favorite movies, incredible to be able to see one of the props
Evil Dead 2 is easily my favorite Evil Dead movie!!!
Adam Savage has not worked a day in his life. A wise man once told me that if you do what you love for a living you will never work a day in your life. Once again, this belongs in a museum!
This just makes me proud. One of my favorite films of all time.
I'm in love!! I want this model
I instantly recognized the house! the first words out of my mouth "Groovy!" :-D I was hoping to see of the cellar door was visible!
Love the props, so fascinating!
I absolutely (and I cannot state this anymore) ABSOLUTELY love these videos with the prop store!
The Evil Dead was filmed not far from here (Knoxville, TN), in Morristown. I think part of the fireplace / chimney are still there. On a side note, Harrison Ford has been spotted in Knoxville, on his way to Morristown.
Pretty rad! Thanks for sharing!
This is definitely one I'd swoon over! Love this series of films! What a treasure! Wonder if they make an HO scale model of this....🤔
I think I saw one on ebay
Why is every video from tested exactly what I’m looking for
How the hell did this still even exist, by some sort of evil magic?
I guess the guy wasn't married.

One word: Groovy
What a cool prop! Be great for a Halloween season diorama! One day build?
Sooo cool thanks for sharing!

Evil Dead 2 is the greatest movie of all time.
I want to build this for my getaway cabin one day .
Groovy!
There better be a video on that pointy silver backpack coming soon.
The denting effect on aircraft is called "oil panning"
As Ash would say, "Groovy!"

WOWWWW THAT IS AMAZING
I built my own miniature evil dead cabin, all hardcore evil dead fans need a cabin!
The screen porch is really interesting! Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t believe we ever see that part of the house in any of the films?? Neat

For a minute before starting the video I thought Adam built a cabin replica and was all 😱
Even the cardboard box to Adam’s left at 8:00 looks slack jawed

Good, bad, I’m the guy with the gun

Somewhere in that warehouse is a crate that contains the crate that contained the Arc of the Covenant...

Best movie ever
Yeah baby!
Looks like the house model thats spinning in the vortex ( when going into army of darkness at the end of the movie)
I want to build a cabin to live in like this! in the woods.
One of the perks of being Adam. Lol
I wouldn’t wanna give it back
Groovy Baby!!!
Groovy.
I’m sorry, but Adam Savage 10000% already knows that that’s the Evil Dead Cabin.
Quick question: does it come with miniature Ted Raimi dressed up like miniature Henrietta screaming, "I"LL SWALLOW YOUR SOUL!"
"Groovy!"
