Really life like :0 like, I'm not here to meme or call him names this animantroic is really well done. The hand moments are so realistic, the lip syncing is bit off but everything else is eerily lifelike! I may not agree with Donny a lot of times, but still a president that's a huge deal. It has to do with the amount of surface area needed to create those lip movements. To do so requires a lot of actuators and each actuator takes up surface area, which the face doesn't tend to provide a lot of. As technology advances, smaller and more powerful actuators become available, so we'll get there eventually. I believe there's a behind the scenes video detailing Disney's newest animatronics. The _newest_ Abe Lincoln is actually really good at facial expressions (and to some degree lip movement). But it's also expensive as hell and will be awhile before Disney can mass produce them.
These animatronic presidents were absilutley amazing if I didn't know they were animatronics I would of though they were real !!! The only down side was the mouth moving ...not moving in the right shape. Best vid ever !
I keep watching these videos with the mindset that I need to focus on the work WDI has done here, and leave the politics behind. The bottom line is that there is no denying, this animatronic is frankly, unbelievable. I think back to how impressed I was by the animatronics of Horizons as a kid in the 80s, and they were stiff, jittery and about as lifelike as a potato. The fluidity of this one is incredible. The hand gestures, arm movements and just general lifelike presentation are beautiful.
The animatronic does an impressive job of capturing Trump's body language when he speaks. The use of hand gestures appears accurate. The face? looks like they just bought a cheap Halloween mask and stuck it on crookedly. The clothes, appear to be just whatever they had lying around in the costume department. After seeing many times what Disney had done for other presidents, I cannot help but be disappointed.

Speaking of what I can only assume is a poll of which the "is a fact he is ranked 41sr out of 45" bit comes from - of which you never cited the source, btw - polls are fundamentally not good indicators of reality, because either people don't actually say what they believe, or the pollsters only take their surveys from a very select number of people, usually ignoring data that doesn't fit what they want.

Im thoroughly impressed and amused that they animated Donald Trump so well, he moves just like this when he talks, the attention to detail is so great. These animatronics are true works of art.

The hand moments are so realistic, the lip syncing is bit off but everything else is eerily lifelike! I may not agree with Donny a lot of times, but still a president that's a huge deal. Glad to see history is being told in such a neat and inventive way!.

How can they get the hand and body movements so lifelike and yet the mouths still just flap up and down like an anime character?
It has to do with the amount of surface area needed to create those lip movements. To do so requires a lot of actuators and each actuator takes up surface area, which the face doesn't tend to provide a lot of. As technology advances, smaller and more powerful actuators become available, so we'll get there eventually. I believe there's a behind the scenes video detailing Disney's newest animatronics. The _newest_ Abe Lincoln is actually really good at facial expressions (and to some degree lip movement). But it's also expensive as hell and will be awhile before Disney can mass produce them.

I keep watching these videos with the mindset that I need to focus on the work WDI has done here, and leave the politics behind. The bottom line is that there is no denying, this animatronic is frankly, unbelievable. I think back to how impressed I was by the animatronics of Horizons as a kid in the 80s, and they were stiff, jittery and about as lifelike as a potato. The fluidity of this one is incredible. The hand gestures, arm movements and just general lifelike presentation are beautiful.
The animatronic does an impressive job of capturing Trump's body language when he speaks. The use of hand gestures appears accurate. The face? looks like they just bought a cheap Halloween mask and stuck it on crookedly. The clothes, appear to be just whatever they had lying around in the costume department. After seeing many times what Disney had done for other presidents, I cannot help but be disappointed.
