Zack, you knocked this one outta the park! You've totally earned your CSI moniker, providing this 4-decade Instrumentation/ Industrial Control Systems veteran with the kind of detail that impresses every time! This new N2/H2O system, as you detailed, finally allays my concerns for the damage potential from the full 33 Raptor Test & Lauch on Stage 0 and the flat pad just 20 meters beneath the most vicious fire-breathing monster of all time. I still believe there will be considerable spalling of the pad and probable significant loss of paint and insulation on stage 0, but hopefully leaving it functionally intact.
Fantastic job by you and your partners, both credited and behind the scenes.

When TH-cam first recommended your videos to me, I was thinking "Ugh... another SpaceX Starship TH-cam channel... I already watch a few of these channels and I'm tired of TH-cam recommending more of these. Most of them are incompetent, repetitive, and only partially know what they're talking about."
Well, I finally decided to click on one of your videos and give it a go. And wow am I glad I did! The amount of research done and the level of technical detail you provided was mind blowing. In my opinion, you've even outdone the major TH-cam channels I watch on the Starship program. I was so impressed with your knowledge of all this too. It's almost like you're an engineer. Then when you mentioned your background as a mechanical engineer, it all made sense 😊
I too am an engineer hoping to be able to *cough quit my job *cough to make TH-cam videos for a living. I hope it works out for you. You have great potential! I'm excited to binge watch the rest of your videos.

As a retired fire investigator, I believe you hit the nail on the head! A Fire and detonation suppression system is clearly needed. The nitrogen bubble which is created would instantly extinguish any methane left burning after a static fire ends. I am glad to see it has been installed and tested. Unfortunately, I still have concerns that 33 Raptors may be too much for the launch mount itself now that we know it is not a deluge system. Can't wait to see it go! Thanks for your insight!

You do a great job in NOT waving your arms and hands around in front of your face and body while speaking. It’s professional in appearance. Many people make their video unwatchable with all the arm and hand gymnastics… I don’t think anyone ever told them that it’s a learned skill and not somthing people are born with. It also requires some practice …
Good vid , good presentation …..Thank you sir.

Thank you. Part of the reasons that these episodes take so long to come out is because in between each one, I like to spend a lot to time watching other TH-camrs and looking for things I do and don’t like
The hand gymnastics as you say 🤣 is one of those things I definitely don’t like. I am still working on sounding more natural and less like it’s from a script. Which it is…even tho I’m the one who wrote it, people still expect the “Scott Manley” single take with no notes to look off of lol.

@@CSIStarbase your doing great , just go with it.. some of these online cats look like mosquitos are swarming them in the studio..chicks with the raptor nails are the worst about keeping their hands up at face level showing off the new fashion.. many guys wave arms around to where it looks there pleading to the GF “ it didn’t mean nothin babe , I was drunk” … he he he…
To just speak without script is hard until you get so proficient at the topic you can just “wing it…”..I started in high school with courses and decades later it’s still difficult..
Bill Clinton , Trump , Musk , Manley, Jordan Peterson Bill Gates ,Paul Harrell etc, were great at it and none used a bunch of rookie hand waving… these and more can speak for an hour or two just off the cuff. That means they totally know their topic…..( yes,Musk has his own special way of doing it)
Great channel - good luck Sir.

Nice work. Thanks. The water spray will absorb a lot of sound energy AND heat energy. During an actual engine fire, the steam generated will displace and mix any combustible gases outward and reduce the chance of secondary detonations.

This was a short episode? ahah bro you can split this episode into 2-3 episodes and release them every other day! I think this will greatly help the algorithm and get people hooked more!

Zack you and yr team are doing a fantastic job at explaing/2nd guessing what the Spacex engineers are designing (and modifying/improving) on the go. This OLM is original/unique v complex design and shows they have a great team and leadership.
