Just saw a Dan tribute show last night in Charlotte!!! Great set ! They did a fabulous version of Razor boy, everyone s gone to the movies and Dr. Wu!!!! And... Dirty Logic from Asheville NC are fantastic!! They do some real deep cuts! Not just pop hits!
The BEST of the Dan covers. In a perfect world, Hank Easton from Steely Damned would play with you guys. THEN... I'd pay more money to see 12AN than I would an actual Steely Dan show!
Love it - I'd gladly pay well to see this act more than once. My only complaint is that the vocalist doesn't sound much like Donald Fagen tone-wise, but he hits the notes & plays the keys well & if that's the only complaint, I can live with it, no problem --- where are you gonna find someone who sounds like DF anyway? I'm highly impressed that they use a live horn section vs synths & the girls add a lot to the authenticity of the vocals. The music sounds 100% like the record on every song.
Wow, guys & girls... Great act! I started a SD Tribute in Philly, "Countdown To Ecstacy". Great talent, but missing in some part. Love the fact that you are doing the "proper" 4-horn parts. Essential for the SD stuff. Your rhythm section is banging. The whole package is A+. kudos, guys girls! Far superior to 90% of the other acts that attempt the Dan. Keep on doing what you do!
I am a HUGE Steely Dan fan... the best band ever, in my book. I just listened/watched your video. You are AWESOME! You have accomplished something not done before.... you nailed them!!! You should be very proud of your accomplishments... I know I am! GREAT GREAT GREAT!!! (Note to earlier posters: There's no "weird effect' heard here... only intended and authentic doubling on the lead vocal, just like Donald's voice, and, what's up with the 'cheesy vid' comment?)

Superb quality band, but for all UK fans of Steely Dan in need of a top live performance of SD's wonderful sounds , I would recommend getting to see The Stacey Brothers' Royal Scammers Project. 14 top flight musicians under the leadership of Jeremy and Paul Stacey (check out their grade one credentials) who have played to rave reviews on regular sell-out occasions at Ronnie Scott's (world famous) Jazz Club in London. The band are truly superb at recreating the authentic detailed sound of SD and actually offer better vocals than "Twelve Against Nature" with Andy Caine at the helm. Please check them out if you are in or travelling to the UK!

Lexington Lab Band, Stanley Dee, and Brooklyn Charmers ---- all uniquely different, but worthy contenders in the Danesque stakes folks.
I think I went through just about every Steely Dan tribute band on TH-cam, I still come back here, vocals, tightness of the band, everything is there.
