Sea of Thieves is a pirate-themed action-adventure cooperative multiplayer game played from a first-person perspective. The game features cross-platform play between Windows-based personal computers and Xbox One video game consoles. A group of players travel and explore an open world via a pirate ship and assume different roles such as steering, hoisting sails, navigation, and firing cannons. Players embark on quests, collect loot and engage in combat with other players. Sea of Thieves is a shared game world, which means groups of players will encounter each other regularly throughout their adventures.

@@maxgoldstein6309 No, a 2 man sloop will crush a 4 man Galleon if the players are decent. The manpower doesn't even almost make up for the massive disadvantages the Galleon faces, especially not in open sea combat.
@@nossttam121 So you're saying if they got 2 more on to have a Galleon v Galleon fight it would have been even? Because that's what it sounds like.. kinda a wierd argument imo. It's not entirely about the ship; it mostly comes down to skill×numbers, if they can't beat them in pvp, a sloop won't take a galleon unless they can out recourse them.. a solo sloop with a good player can take a reasonably skilled galleon team, and an ok galleon will always beat an ok sloop because numbers do matter. Numbers×Skill
I don't know of any other game that better captures the romance of sail. The waves, the living ship, and nature in all her majesty are superbly presented.

as someone who actually loves to sail this game captures the feeling of it so well, though heeling on a topaz in high winds is a feeling you can’t really capture easily.
And then there's the part where you fire yourself out of cannons, 1v1 sharks and win, and use harpoons to transport people by straight up impaling them
It's a really beautiful name, and very well made!

Me and my friends just got PC's and have jumped right into SoT, we all watch welyn and are pretty inspired by these tales and the rust ones as well, its just perfect that this comes out now :)

watching this reminded me of this one time where i was forced to sail halfway across the map to sell my haul... in a rowboat.
longest 3 hours of my life, cause i had about 400,000 in loot on my little rowboat
my brig got slammed by a meg and 2 skeletal galleons, i survived, my teammates and the boat... not so much
i recuperated, grabbed all the loot onto the rowboat and got to sailing. I got to an island with a ship on it, and the legends running it let me sell my loot. if y'all are reading this, it's ZetaX3n0. You guys are absolute legends, that was my first ever fort take, and it actually made the difference on me deciding whether i liked this game or not
That has happened so many times to me, thankfully I have two buds to play a solemn tune while we ride the rowboat to a nearby outposts.
Why didnt your mates pick you up with the new ship? Its not that hard to locate you using land marks. :D

Me and my buddy had been getting attacked like crazy on our way to an Island, we had been making repairs while running from the enemies when we suddenly crashed into the island we had been heading towards. My friend and I knew the ship wasn't gonna make it, so we quickly started running all of our treasure onto this island and hiding it the best we could before the enemies caught up to us, my friend then took the beaten ship away from the island and let the crew kill him and they sunk the ship, luckily we knew exactly where I was hiding and he sailed all the way back while I defended and hid our treasure. Only about 70,000 worth but still mind blown it worked to this day.

Got betrayed by a allianced group while playing sea of thieves, when I tried to get the loot back all I could think of was your videos and how you would plan your next move and your voice over. It gave me energy to try and get revenge. I didn’t even care about the loot at that point. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to but seeing your videos helps make me feel better.
Welyn has grown well but trust me there are plenty of better streamers out there where you can even more skills.
Try watching hitbo combat tutorials, phuzzy canon aiming guide or how to use inactive forts to your advantage. Mixel is by far the cannon god but he has no guide as such

Called them toxic for their behavior. It's okay to be annoyed or mad. But it's literally just a game and the whole point is that other players are going to loot and/or sink your ship. The guy slinging around slurs every which way was unnecessary and gross. It wreaks of bad sportsmanship.
The name of the game is literally sea of thieves, not sea of friendship, you can definitely attack anyone you want for no reason at all because the game is a sandbox lmao 🤦♂️

It's a shadowmore at night time lighting seen that so many times when it it's closer its actually a rubbery purple white colour best way to tell if its shrouded is the pinky red eyes the shadowmores eyes are a yellow orange

Not all crews are toxic. I was able to become a galleons (full of good players) chef and bard. It was loads of fun. I cooked, repaired, and entertain them in return for protection and a small amount of money.

They were Reapers- you can see them coming, and you SHOULD be checking your map for them. It’s not like they were just being random PVP assholes.
Though generally when we do Reapers we only go after emissaries. We feel like that’s fair game.

I'd be mad too if a team of sweaty sloop dweller attacked my ship unprovoked and then say "why u mad bro?" Aside from one guy slurring, I don't know which crew was most toxic.
The fact that he had one piece of treasure and the galleon crew had him 2-to-1 should've just made for ez claps for galleon and no harm done if they got clapped anyways. I think that's why Welyn thought the galleon crew was being toxic, although I do agree that attacking a random ship for target practice is pretty not pog, but that's PvP for you.
It’s a pirate game with Thieves in the title. You thief and sink ships. The galleon crew was unequivocally the toxic one.
@@dacdoolosh6828 I know it's in the name, I've heard that countless time. For me the game is a sandbox and players enjoy what they want. I just find the PVP to be the worst aspect but I play with a crew of friends to relax and chat after work. Getting told "why u mad" while getting killed repeatedly isn't gonna make him any less mad.

But my focus has never been about that in the game and I just fall prey to pvp masters who ruin 3 hours of work and profit from my hard work in the 5 minutes it took to sink my ship. There wouldn't be any loot to steal if there wasn't passive players to steal from. plus, I somehow can't act any other way that I would in real life , I always chose the "good" path in games so that's on me. I just can't understand how someone can have satisfaction stealing from others and ruining their day pirate game or not. Finally, I'm pretty sure that if the game was called "sea of friendship" and had the same mechanics, it would be no different.
@𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐤𝐨-𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧 Thanks for the tips. I already play with a crew of friends and my brother who lives in an other city. It's usually a way to unwind a chill and gives us a chance to talk. We both love sailing and fishing and the game is gorgeous. We're in our 30s and some have children. Some friends play on PC while others on xbox so we are forced to play against keyboard and mouse players which I'd argue makes the pvp unfair, but I'm sure people will say it doesn't. I was only aggressive when defending myself, defending other ships from reapers or going after a ship that stole my loot after they sank mine. Lets say you just feel defeated when a crew of teenager kills us over and over while saying insanities because they can. That is much more toxic then cursing at your attackers who are obviously toying with you because you have less skills. Anyway, I wrote that first comment a long time ago and still play, am just now starting to get Athena loot and it's even worst with the amount of time it takes. Our last trip will probably have us leave the game for months again....

Third times the charm… I had finished another customs raid and raced to welyn’s channel to ask if he would upload an Escape from Tarkov movie and show us all how the rodeo went down. Writing this 3 hours after the video came out, wondering if people would be willing to like this and let welyn know. But who would still be here? I was about to find out… But our story doesn’t start here, I had just loaded into a Customs raid, ready to make something out of my rare gear…

I think the meaning of toxic has changed over the years. Toxic used to be incessantly attacking someone over and over unwarranted and spawn camping. Now its anybody who gets mildly upset is considered toxic.
