Okay: of all the video shorts you've done thus far, Andrew, this one deserves some sort of sub-ten-minutes Webby award for sheer meta-goodness from end to end (and, yeah, I'll pick Matt Farah over Joe what's-his-name any day ending in "y"). Sharp observations all around.
I'm fascinated by what celebrities wear only when they are watches that everyone could afford, because a rich person wearing an expensive watch seems a bit boring to me. In their case they need to try harder to be cool. I remember Ryan Gosling with a Casio, a vintage Omega, a vintage Air King... That was interesting.
I agree. I am most attracted to interesting watches, which may or may not necessarily be expensive. For instance, to me, an Ikepod is cooler than a Rolex GMT. Certainly there are some very cool and interesting high end watches, but Royal Oaks, Nautili, etc. aren’t it. I feel the same way about cars. I am far more attracted to an old 911 or Datsun Z than a new Ferrari.
Adam Savage is an absolute legend. His love of anything to do with space gives him an appreciation of his watch that is missing from so many ‘watch collectors’ who just buy for the flex or the views.
The "reaction to celebrity watches" format is certainly cheap and played out, but congratulations on executing it in a funny, interesting and original way.
This is one of your best vids in a while Andrew! Loved how you didn't hold back! I'm a massive fan of your prose and this had me rivited mate! More like this!
It was refreshing and a relief to watch a celebrity watch video that didn't simp for the celebrities. I find the Hodinkee videos with Mayer and Sheerhan absolutely cringeworthy.
Oh my word, that was one of the funniest watch videos I’ve ever seen! I was literally laughing out loud in my car on my way to work this morning!! Thank you for making my day!!
This video is awesome, it's off the charts It's got everything I want, it's stealing everyone's hearts The creator is a genius, they're a master of the art I'm giving this video thumbs up, from the bottom of my heart I'm telling you, this video is the bomb It's gonna blow your mind, it's gonna make you numb So go check it out right now You'll be glad you did, it's the best video ever, yo, come on!
Rowan Atkinson has at least three different dark dial IWCs, which is a surprisingly straight-laced and almost boring choice vis à vis what's going on in the man's head when it comes to comedy. Must be that engineering background. He also has a Bell & Ross Alpine Chronograph. And he has a so far unidentified watch that looks basically identical to one of his IWCs. It seems like whatever watch he gets, it must be somewhat large, but as far from "blingy" as possible, and black or blue or both.
That Daniel Craig interview is the biggest attempt to retcon an actor's watch history and relationship. I have been following Daniel Craig's career since just before he became Bond. Just after he signed to play Bond he was always getting caught wearing Rolex's in public, specifically a Submariner 6538, even when he was doing press interviews promoting his first 2 Bond films. I also have photos of him from online articles where he's wearing a custom Project X Submariner without crown guards. It wasn't until Omega hired him as an ambassador ,separate from their promo deal with Bond that he started wearing Omega in public. Maybe he wore the Rolex to push Omega into paying him directly to be an ambassador but his Rolex photos are out there so I don't know where ha got that vintage Omega but he never wore it prior to 2008.
Popes, british Royals and Adam Savage are the sole "celebrities" i've seen that are really genuine about what they wear. Every other famous someone i've seen have that odd feeling of "i have to advertise that thing that has nothing to do with my tastes".
From the hundred VIP'S with expensive watches onley 7 will realy value the true meaning of horology. The rest does it for status or conspicous consumption.
Respect for your correct pronunciation of the letter Omega. You'd have thought that Daniel would have been corrected by Omega themselves, being the ambassador for the brand...
@@IDKline OK Mr Kleaner... How much do you charge to clean a toilet? Doesn't it matter? This brand chose to name a movement that they made to end all movements by the use of the last Greek letter of our alphabet. It was so well accepted by the public that in the end they used that Greek letter as the name of their brand. Even the word alphabet is derived from a Greek word. I'd say if you've gone to all that trouble and furthermore given the background and my example of how misinterpretation can be insulting to the owner of that which is being misinterpreted, of course it does really matter in more than one dimension... You sound like more of a rolux person anyway. ;-)
Wouldn't the best Bond watch be a Breitling Emergency? A watch that literally has a homing beacon to send a military extraction team to rescue you anywhere in the world.
Sylvester Stallone's Richard Mille's collection is the epitome of bad taste. Owning one of these ugly watches is evidence of your lack of class, owning a collection is proof.
And Sheeran. But what really cringed me on that interview besides the drug box thing is that all those watches live deep into a bank vault, except perhaps that yellow G-Shock. I mean, i understand prices and risks, but still weird.
What do you call "serious"? Rolex failed to Blancpain, to Omega and possibly to Smiths in every historical "serious" thing that mattered. Nowadays it's a disgusting brand. Casio is in a different field.
Lemme just say: I fuckin’ LOVE Omega. They are just the best players in the game. If you agree, If not? Go watch Mr. Wonderful with his QVC wines. Lol red straps only doggies!!
‘If you can name it, John Mayer has had it. And that’s not limited to watches’ this killed me laughing
“I don’t mean the dead eyes and unnatural ability to make music for airports.” OMG so funny and true

5:27 I died laughing at the Teddy clip
Andrew Morgan is such a gifted writer. He inspires me to put more thought into my word choices. Such a talent!

That white ceramic AP isn’t hideous, you just have to be an international popstar to be able to pull it off
the VC 222 reissue is still the only modern luxury watch I think I'd actually love to wear
The "reaction to celebrity watches" format is certainly cheap and played out, but congratulations on executing it in a funny, interesting and original way.
Some seriously savage and funny burns in this episode.
So many great lines, beautifully written. Really enjoyed this, thank you
This is one of your best vids in a while Andrew! Loved how you didn't hold back! I'm a massive fan of your prose and this had me rivited mate! More like this!
I was cackling at the Teddy comments!
I was truly surprised in those videos that Kevin actually picked up the Vacheron that Teddy recommended.
For Kevin it was like picking up a snack that his friend told him to try.
Best writing yet, Andrew! The one with Teddy had me dying 😂
Many LOL moments
My favourite “that’s when the student became the master, then ruined it all by….”
Just saw Mark Knopfler flexes his Speedmaster in latest video about auction
It was refreshing and a relief to watch a celebrity watch video that didn't simp for the celebrities. I find the Hodinkee videos with Mayer and Sheerhan absolutely cringeworthy.
Fantastic writing, you are the best watch writer that’s ever lived
Who has ever lived.
"unnatural ability to make music for airports" 😂 Brian Eno has something to say to you about that 🤨 but hilarious, Andrew, hilarious 😹
Very entertaining. More of these, please!
Oh my word, that was one of the funniest watch videos I’ve ever seen! I was literally laughing out loud in my car on my way to work this morning!! Thank you for making my day!!
Dude! You're content is the best.
Hilarious your best to date! Keep em coming 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The otherwise not soo stunning 222 is really elevated by BP wearing it
Excellent video. Adam Savage also recently got an SKX.
Watches are great. Due diligence in your next purchase is time well spent. No one actually needs a watch, though nowadays...
Does anyone know where I can watch that Daniel Craig video talking about the vintage omega?
th-cam.com/video/cWDthdzo7Nw/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared
Spot on about Iman. His collection is basically every hype watch that sells over retail 😂
This video was 🔥🔥🔥 best ever!!!!
Love a good Sunday roast on a Saturday!
Okay so when does your stand up our start? I don't want to miss it!! Thanks for the giggles while watching the stars lol.
You are such a great talent!
This one had me rolling; awesome. Thanks Andrew!
Utterly brilliant! Loved it.
Lots of interesting and amusing things going on in this video-many thanks Andrew
You weren’t kidding about that Calvin Klein commercial 😂
Love the light Teddy shade.
This video is awesome, it's off the charts
It's got everything I want, it's stealing everyone's hearts
The creator is a genius, they're a master of the art
I'm giving this video thumbs up, from the bottom of my heart
I'm telling you, this video is the bomb
It's gonna blow your mind, it's gonna make you numb
So go check it out right now
You'll be glad you did, it's the best video ever, yo, come on!
“No, I don’t mean the dead eyes and the unnatural ability to make music for airports” 🔥🔥🔥😂😂
hahahahaha you NAILED IT!
hahaha loved it ! made my day !
Kevin Hart is a big watch guy and seen Tom Cruise at F1 wearing a black dial oyster sky dweller and a pic recently in a titanium yacht master
Andrew, you rock sir! 🤘🏽
🤣🤣🤣🤣 from beginning to end. These are the kind of videos I like best from you (instead of the nth variant of the usual old chestnuts ;) )
Love the 222! Great video!!
Andrew is it Om"A"ga or Om"E" ga? Or is it the same as "Zee" and "Zed", it just depends where you are?
Omega, O'mega, O'meega - just say the way that annoys people the most, and that is the correct way.
Love the final comment. Cracked me up. Why do people do it. Why why why.
Your comments on Teddy and the other watch guys are hilarious
the word at 7:11. ??????? obviously conduit but what !!!!
Adam Savage also wears an unmodified Seiko SKX009 (Pepsi).
Best video of the year!
This video did me a lot of good.

Dang it not first. Always love AMW content.
I still dont know a single John Mayer song but i have watched every Mayer watch video

I laughed out loud so many times during this. Brilliant!
Good stuff!
E list TH-cam reviewers/shillers get most of their watches for free so I doubt real celebs have to dig too deep to get their choices.
This is more like it. Ruffle those feathers.
"...making music for airports..." 😂
Popes, british Royals and Adam Savage are the sole "celebrities" i've seen that are really genuine about what they wear. Every other famous someone i've seen have that odd feeling of "i have to advertise that thing that has nothing to do with my tastes".
My question for John Mayer - Who’s dog’s poop?
From the hundred VIP'S with expensive watches onley 7 will realy value the true meaning of horology. The rest does it for status or conspicous consumption.
Matt Farah lost all my respect when he said "did the Lancia Stratos ever rally?" whilst driving and reviewing a Lancia Stratos.
King Charles has been spotted wearing a Daniel Wellington. True.
Respect for your correct pronunciation of the letter Omega. You'd have thought that Daniel would have been corrected by Omega themselves, being the ambassador for the brand...

‘Cut price Picard’ :)
May Farrah didn’t introduce Joe Rogan to mechanical watches. He was wearing a yachtmaster on fear factor many moons ago
I still dont know if i like kevin or not but i do like the red strap vibes
Most of these watches cost more than my current car. 😂
I'm fairly that Paul Mereton was wearing a Mr Jones on last night's Have I got news for you.
Man you should come to Munich, Germany!
If you are half as interesting as you seem to be from your video, that would be a great day : )
Cut rate Captain Picard 😂😂😂
Clive's too modest to put himself on the list but we all know Mr Croupier is a JLC ambassador.
Have any of these celebs contacted you about this vid?
I'm getting old ,I didn't know half of the people you mentioned. Oh, sorry I am old . Ironman from 1970something.
I lol’d throughout this video 👏
I swear Andrew is just a little drunk when he makes these videos.
shots fired!
What ever happened to Lady GaGa and Tudor 🤷🏻♂️
Wouldn't the best Bond watch be a Breitling Emergency? A watch that literally has a homing beacon to send a military extraction team to rescue you anywhere in the world.
Wouldn't exactly blend in at those black tie events.
That’s exactly what you want your enemies to have on you, a precise location 😂
Cut price Captain Picard😂😂😂😂😂
First! Had to do this once
Sylvester Stallone's Richard Mille's collection is the epitome of bad taste. Owning one of these ugly watches is evidence of your lack of class, owning a collection is proof.
Hot take - as much as I respect John Mayer as an artist, I think he has terrible taste in watches.
Terrible is a massive stretch 😂
Half right. He is a mediocre entertainer with a watch collection as boring as his music…which is an impressive feat.
And Sheeran. But what really cringed me on that interview besides the drug box thing is that all those watches live deep into a bank vault, except perhaps that yellow G-Shock. I mean, i understand prices and risks, but still weird.
Calvin Klein is gonna get a spike in views because of this video
Mayer & Sheeran; decadent show, not a good promotion for themselves
Iman Ghadsi got destroyed in this
LOL ouch
No insight into Mayer or Sheeran’s collections at all. Massive click bait!
hahahahha this is great
Ed Sheeran is such a down to earth and nice guy that making fun of him is like punching a dog
great Vid Andrew.
The 222…. just watch porn!
😆 😆
Maybe include some black folks?
Daniel Craig is a good guy but Omega is not a serious brand like Rolex or G Shock.
why do you say that?
What do you call "serious"? Rolex failed to Blancpain, to Omega and possibly to Smiths in every historical "serious" thing that mattered. Nowadays it's a disgusting brand. Casio is in a different field.
@@TheGrenadier97 Shhh Rolex owners are talking.
One of the most laughable comments I’ve seen in a while
That's some cheap trolling mate.
Lemme just say: I fuckin’ LOVE Omega. They are just the best players in the game. If you agree, If not? Go watch Mr. Wonderful with his QVC wines. Lol red straps only doggies!!
The only type of advertising more cringe than perfumes... watch ad campaigns.
