These are the same principles my Mexican parents tried to instill in my brothers and sisters. I remember how, during one of our fiestas, all the men were seated at a long separate table and served. After they had eaten and were enjoying a beer and smoke, then the children were seated and served. Lastly, after the children had eaten and ran off to play, the women sat down served each other. When I asked why this was so, my mother explained that, it is a custom the men eat first because it was the men who worked hard and provided the food and all the rest of the things to make our celebration possible. In our culture, the focus of our attention and gratitude was on the men . Of course she meant the men in our family, but I can't help thinking what America would be like if we had continued this tradition.

I like your point at the end regarding the psychology of asking the women to send their photos. That logic applies to other aspects of life too. For example, as an employer, I ALWAYS ask prospective employees for a resume. If the person will not even do that, I know they're a bad match without speaking to them further. If you want someone to get on & stay on your program, you need a certain level of COMPLIANCE. Whether the relationship is professional or sexual the same logic applies.
