Hope you enjoy the video guys..... I’ve a 10series price list also so if there’s enough interest I’ll do a similar type video on it also.... thanks for watching and the support. Don’t for get to hit like and subscribe 😊👍
Would definitely like to see the 10 series price list aswell, brilliant tractors in fairness
Can you do the price of a 6110
Deffo Gerry , would love to see it 👍
Hi Gerry, I’d like to see the 10 series vid. Although it may well make me scratch my head, thinking’s about today’s prices.
Yes please Gerry drove loads of 10 series in my farming days, would be very interesting.
This is pure gold gerry im a 50 series man id the low profile 2650 with a factory fitted 90 horse power engine from the 2850 2wd great tractor
Yes super machine....
When I was young we had a 3650 and it means allot to me because i spent allot of time with my father before he died of a heart attack when I was 10 and we also had a ford 8830 which was some yoke when it was going.the 3650 never gave trouble it even pulled a 26 ton digger down the motorway we were building Mahon point.some day i hope to find thoes two tractors(they were sold)
You should try find them. Be great story if you did
We bought this year a new 6130m select+ for 76k euro, without VAT. The tractor has tls and cab suspension, 114l pump, 3x450 mechanical valves, turnable front fenders, premium seat, greenstar ready, big halogen light package, air brakes, 380/85r28 and 460/85r38 tires on adjustable rims, and stronger back end with higher lift capacity, 9 position automatic hitch.
130R would be more then 100k. Crazy money. Isn’t it
Hi Gerry,
Brilliant video as always. It's mind boggling the price of tractors back then in comparison to now. 30 to 35 grand now for anything decent with a loader. I rang a dealer in the North of Ireland recently on an immaculate 1999 6210SE John Deere with only 2226 hours on it. No loader. €28,000. Have a look at it on Mc Cullagh machinery on line. He has it sold but it's still on his website. Marked sold. I know you will love it Gerry because of it's condition. No difference what so ever on the prices of cattle from 1989 to now and I have the Mart dockets to prove that. The prices of tractors now is ridiculous, especially second-hand ones. Thanks for the info.🚜💶😱
Must check it out. Yes second hand machines in good condition make great money. ESPICALLY with low hours
Very interesting Gerry, amazing how much the equivalent costs nowadays. And considering how much a decent 3650 still costs, there’s very little depreciation, I know back then it was probably a lot of money though.
Interesting video young man. Basically tractor and machinery prices have at least tripled and possibly quadrupled whilst incomes have only doubled or thereabouts. My wage in 1989 was about £8,000 a year if l remember correctly? No way could l even consider buying a new tractor today ony income. Back then l wasnt working on farms much so l had no need to buy a tractor. Today, l do more welding repairs on farms so thankfully dont need to buy a tractor. Farm prices have rocketed too with land making silly money.
What a brilliant collection o brochures an price lists in immaculate condition Gerry 👍👍
Yes it’s nice to have them. Some I have there since the the late 1980s. Collecting them along time
A contractor near me had two John Deere 4255s and two Heston 4900 balers and a 2650 2wd on a rake it was a nice outfit to see at the time
I bet it was. Lot of those 55 series ended up on big bakers.... I remember visiting a contractor in uk 5 years ago and he still run a 4955 on big Heston. It used 1/3 the Diesel of his new 7R Deere.
love the jb models , er indoors got me a shuco 6400 . for my birthday . cost about 72 quid
Nice video Gerry cant wait to see the baler
What baler?
gerry6420 I thought u bought a baler
Hi Gerry,
How come some tractors have the linkage lever on the fender? The Manuel lever to hitch on outside, did not see this on the list.
Cheers
I have a 2650 mc1 cab with a shiftable pto but on that list it says its only for the 2850
Yeah same I have a MC1 2650 and it also has the pto selector. The gears are on the right hand side too.
@@ArchieSimpson 2250 with shiftable pto too?
From what I can make out shiftable PTO wasn’t available on sg2 cabs except on 2850s I’ve seen seen it on mc1 2650s also
Gerry will you do the prices of the 6010 series
I have a price list for the 10 series also.... if this video is popular I’ll do one on it too 👍👍
The cost of the air conditioning option is a standout for me!! V expensive!
pliston1 it explains why so many hadn’t got it. I’d see it as a must though.
Nice vid Gerry thanks
Thanks 😊 glad you enjoyed
I have a 5125R on order since before Christmas, should get it mid August, wide TRELLEBORG TM800 tyres front and rear, suspension front and cab, front linkage, pto and 543R loader, command 8, 4 rear scvs, 3 loader scvs with diverter for 4th function, big hydraulic pump closed centre, no gps as it would have added €10k, will add Trimble later. Including vat it's well north of €100k so things have changed a smidgen on the cost front if you want half decent spec. This is the last year it's available without ad blue. Does your price list include vat or is that extra?
Yes. Prices plus vat
@@gerry6420 You may ask why I stuck a ball of money into a 5R and not a 6M. Where I live in Donegal, the land is wet and heavy, you can add weight to a tractor when you need it but you can't take it off. The drought has everyone spoiled but we have to think of the other years. Plus it has the big 4.5L powertech engine, not a smaller 3L turboed up. Cheers!
My brother had a 3050 he had it for years 4wd hedge cutting tractor, the rest liked Massy and Fords,
Hello Gerry, I’m currently looking front rims for my 3650 as the wrong rims are on it . Do you know if the rims are 16” wide that should be on it?
From memory fronts are 15” and rears are 18
That’s on my tractor…. Yours could be different
@@gerry6420 thanks Gerry 👍👍
@@gerry6420 ps check out my 3050 restoration I completed last month the video is on my page 👍
Nice wee tourches , IL have a look at the website 👍👍
Good quality stuff
thanks gerry
Was quite a few 4055 in meath north dublin back in the early 90s
We had to wait until they were ten years old before we could import them to the west
Yes they were around..... not many though
Great video much enjoyed
Good stuff Phillip. Glad you did
Great wee video , something different , not often u get to see a price list . 👍👍👍👍
Very true. It’s interesting stuff I think.
If let's say a 2650 has the 40 km/h transmission, how have they solved that? Was it other gearing on the highest gear or more gears?
Same gears but Higher geared. Heard we’re all longer. They tended to be bad pullers. Not enough hp for the gears.
@@gerry6420 OK. Yea if all gears were higher it must have affected the pulling capacity. Probably like changing tires from ex, 16.9-r34 to 18.4-r34, that would also tend to raise the top speed on all gears. Fendt at the time solved it whit a third overdrive gear on the 40km/h versions.
Ive still got a 40 series leaflet that covers the 4040 right up to the 4640 which was the biggest at the time sold in uk . A local contractor to us in aberdeenshire bought a john deere opu cabbed 3040 the sekura cab also used on david browns . Internationals and various others . Including ford on the ap and lp versions . Were all sekura cabs built in finland im sure if not danemark it was the guys first john deere . Bought for one of the drivers who still to this day is a john deere fan znd is now a contractor himself . He runs john deeres im sure hes got aboyt 4 0r 5 now . Does spraying and crop drying . He used to have the nickname the jolly green giant owing to his name bein green and his size of hight and with him in his jd boilersuit lol his family are farmers near where i used to stay near oldmeldrum . I bet u wish u could buy a new deere at these prices now . I drove a 4755 it was a beast of a thing . Certainly the largest deere ive driven to date. Hope ur all well gerry . Lovin the vids . Take care stay safe .
Love the jolly green giant nickname 😂 thank Ian. Alls good. Hope alls good with you too 👌😊
@@gerry6420 aye hes some lad is george loves his deeres he does im no bad cheers gerry glad ur all gd too . All the best . . Hows ur resto project goin have u gotten any further with her yet or is it still a to do job . Look forwrd to seein it . Again . Tell me did u run david browns vefore the deeres came onto the farm . Jyst with ur very nice david brown u have . I just wondered if u ran them before u started among the green machines . Catch up soon gerry u take care sray safe .
Just noticed on the price list that 40k is not available on the 3650, that would explain why some of the last 3650s were only 30k
It is available in 40k
Maybe it was as standard in 1989
that wiking 6930 can for over a 150 quid btw good vid
Yes I heard that they’re getting rather expensive
Is the olight "flash sale" and intentionall pun as it is a flashlight🤔
No but it sounds like it is 😂
How’s new mchale baler (f5500 ? )
Brand new fusion.... 😂
It's a John deer , f440r I think 😉
F440 would be too old.... nothing but new. F441R would do
The Olight marketing budget must go entirely on farming youtubers yourself, farmer Phil even Andy Hourigan from farming, fixing, fabricating all pushing there products.
Well it’s getting the name and product out there and to people in an industry that need torches. 😊👍
They are decent torches, nothing wrong in marketing them to a target market who use them.
Back in 94 to 96 I worked for a farmer who had a 2130 2140 and a 3140 John Deere's. Don't think any of them were over 100hp. The 2140 and 3140 were so uncomfortable to drive and even though the likes of the 6930 upwards today are bigger they are easier to monover than the 3140 in my opinion. Loved driving the 2140. All were two wheel drive and having watched your vid bog standard.
Good stuff 😊👍
Well gerry. Seen this brochure said the 2850 was the only one with shiftable pto but my 2250 has 540 and 1000?
Yes your right. I think that was only on SG2 premium cab I SEEN 2650 with the cheaper sg2 cab with 1000/540pto lever Also
@@gerry6420 oh, that's great to know thanks 👍
Interesting to see what options you got back in the day (pity I didn't buy one at the age of 4!😂) I rather enjoy seeing what the standard manufacturers had compared to what merc offered as standard at the time. My mb was built in 87 and I reckon the jd is a good comparison of the time??
I seen u on the side of the road and you driving your John deere teleporter with 2 straw bales on it
When. Must been last week. It was hay
@@gerry6420 ye it was last Wednesday there and u were on the side of the road with a white van
Did I miss something or was a 3650 only available in 30k thanks Gerry
No they came standard as a 30k but option was available as a 40k.
Are ye planning on buying a wrapper too?
No ive bought a fusion 😉
@@gerry6420 I've model one too 🤣
nick Lad 😂
The best model was the legendary 2450 from Germany or Alleman, this machine in particular is fast strong and have big torque, the rest models' have transmisión problems or high fuel conpsumption, american model no good just the Germany have different still or metal! And 1750 American model good little machine and very fast!
Gerry are you going to get a dribble bar
Sometime probably 😊👍
Never see much of the larger 4055 series in Ireland I think they’re more common in the uk
Grassmen
No many around. Edward is right grassmen have 1
gerry6420 that’s the only one I have seen in ireland
Good video 🏴🚜🚜👍💪
Thanks 😊
Well Gerry how's it goin ,did u get the hay done between cthe rain showers ? 👍
No hay. Just trying to stay dry 😂
Back in the day money was worth a lot more, a fiver back then isnt the same as a fiver now, peoples wages were a lot lower but there was money in farming though.
With the torches it's not the size that matters it what you do with it 😉
Nice one Gerry, did ye really buy a Fusion ? 🙌🏻👍🏻
He probably got a fusion 1 or 2
Christopher Sheridan he said below he bought a brand new one, dont know if hes joking though 🤷🏼♂️😂
@@christophersheridan494 lol look at the pic , it's clearly a JD round baler not a mchale
Pjanic at the isco what pic 😂
No I bought no fusion... I was joking.
What do u think of massy
Like 20s 135s, 390T 399 but my like for them ends around then I’m afraid.
Thank big fan
@@gerry6420 you aren't alone there, farmer phil will be disappointed though
Would you be interested in selling your 6930 model
No I havnt got it that long. I hear they’ve went through the roof price wise.....
Like every 10, 20 and 30 series Deere at the moment. Talk about holding value!!
Adjusted for inflation the 2850 would cost €62,500 today!
A bargain 😊👍
Great video is there gonna be a giveaway anytime soon just wondering
He only did one a few weeks ago nobody could afford a giveaway every few weeks
I’ll do 1 at 30k.... probably not as big this time... last one cost me 350€ 😂
Oh sorry didn't know giveaways were so dear 😂😂
The difference I can see in farming is that all smaller suck cow farmers, (20 cow men) 40 acre. All have to have a full time job long side the farming and work like the hammers. 😁😁😁
A new fusion? And theres no money in farming lol
grass spec I bought no fusion 😂
@@gerry6420 JD f440r ?
