Non-tractor mechanic here. If I'm correct with what I understand the presenter is saying, you can start off in basically any forward gear without the need to shift through all the previous gears like you would in a manual gear shift car or truck?
@@ikonseesmrno7300Yup, I run 8 speeds on a 2510 and a 4020. Can push the inching pedal/clutch pedal in and start in any gear by shifting there and letting off on the pedal. Can also start in park and shift all the way up through the gears entirely without the pedal at all. To be honest 8th and sometimes even 7th can be rough to start in especially if you’re pulling something heavy so I usually just start in 5th or 6th and powershift up from there. I start in 4th and 5th gear almost all the time for just driving around the farm or doing field work. Same concept with a 15 speed just more gears.
Do more sound guards if you’re got em
Don't have any at this time, but will certainly be picking more up to transfer as I find them. Thanks for re-posting & tuning in!
There's a small batch of slide sets (hopefully) inbound by the end of the week. A few of them are on the 50 series.
@@ikonseesmrno7300 sounds good, I’ll be waiting with baited breath
I really like that transmission. Relatively trouble free, and stayed in adjustment.
Great video.........pictures are tons better than the tech book! I love those transmissions.
This video takes me back to 1988, when I was a Service Trainee at the John Deere Ltd branch in Regina Saskatchewan.
Deere must have had hundreds of these. Do you know if there was a master catalog of titles?
Best powershift Deere ever made. Very smooth shifting and practically bulletproof
I overhauled more of these transmissions than any other when i worked at Deere.
Brilliant video.. Thanks for sharing 👍
This is gold! Thanks!
Yes, more vids like this would be great
Provided they don't get lost in the mail, I'll be converting more by the end of this week.
video spettacolare!
Esatto
Thank you! There are more to come.
Very nice informative video.Maybe do you have the 19/7 powershift video fitted on 7000 series ? Thanks
Thanks! I do not have that video on hand at this time, but will look for it.

Fairly certain that's how that works, yes.

@@kennyz6533 Thanks for the info! Learning has been one of the most enjoyable things about running this channel. Regards!
Hey Ikon, do you have one on the Farmall 660? I’m curious.
Not at this time, but I'm still searching out more.
