Not sure if you have displayed this already but what does the loading screen look like? Does it boot up with "LEXUS" written on the screen? With these aftermarket screens I usually see a random name and it makes it look much less OEM.
Are you able to use your pause button to pause music while on CarPlay? That’s the only issue I have. If I want to pause music, I have to actually use my phone
@@1crida1 hey! So the pause / play button on the media controls (next to the tune/scroll button) works ! You can also use the mouse/trackpad to hit the pause / play button on the CarPlay screen. However, the skip / previous track button on the media controls does not work. You can use skip / previous track button either by the steering wheel buttons or the via the mouse/trackpad on the CarPlay screen. I’ve gotten use to using the controls on the steering wheel. However, my passengers use the mouse/trackpad to pause and or skip tracks. Hope that helps !
Followed how you did it. Only difference is mine do not have the pointer around the screen for my joystick... i only use the joystick for left and right movement on the screen. How did you get a pointer on your screen?
@@jeffersontabud5776 the pointer on my screen is there because my vehicle has the mouse/keypad option. i’m not sure how it works if you have the joystick. But I do know it is compatible because there is a harness that allows you to use the system with the joystick.
Do you still have the USB functionality in the center console? Just curious if you can still play music from there if you use the stock set up on the new screen.
@@isaiasvilla21 you know this is a good question. I personally haven’t tested the USB port in the center console. They did give a USB extender which I wired into the glove box which I do use periodically just cause it’s a bit more of a faster charger compared to the center console. The USB that I have in the glove box works without any issues.
Thanks for uploading this! I'm seriously considering purchasing this. How has your experience been with it? Any audio quality issues or lag issues ? Anything to note? Any problem connecting ?
Good experience! No issues I've noticed over the past 4 weeks. No audio quality loss. No problem connecting. Takes about 30 seconds for carplay to connect when the car is first turned on.
@@hummadsyed1499 how do you set the car on aux? Everything is working with my set-up besides Apple CarPlay. I get no audio from it. Only my audio from OEM plays
Not sure. Dont care for lexus infotainment system/voice commands. However, when its on the Apple Carplay - the voice command buttons activates siri which is x10 more helpful

Do you have to switch to aux manually every time you want to listen to CarPlay?
@@Cool_Hand_Luke77 No sir. Set the car on aux once and that's it. (Unless I want to manually change it to something else)
