    Thanks for that video, sir. Ordered a B&S carb kit that has that little o-ring along with the other gaskets, etc. Thought about getting one of those new cheap Chinese aftermarket carbs and just replacing it.....but figured it would be better just rebuilding the original one. Btw....the Briggs kit is about $15 cheaper than the John Deere one....same exact kit too. Keep up the good work!

    My carb was flooding so badly, at times I would see fuel under the mower, and it would no longer start. I'd come back the next day, and it would run again. I tried all the tricks I could find on TH-cam. I finally figured out the problem. It was the little rubber tip at the end of the needle valve. The tip was cracked about half way through and leaning to one side a little. It was an easy fix, once I figured out this was the problem. I had the mower looked at twice by our local shop, but they didn't catch this.

    Does this fix that problem?

    • @billseivers3528
      @billseivers3528 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably not. The solenoid under the float bowl usually sticks in the down position which lets the fuel pass through the bowl and into the cylinder, through the valves and into the crankcase. Be sure to check your oil and if it feels really thin, or if it smells like gasoline, then you need to replace the solenoid or install an in-line fuel shutoff to stop the fuel from flowing into the carb after shutting the mower off.
