Howdy. Nice. I would like to declare the process that finally worked for me. 1. Uninstall the old driver. 2. Check that the manager icon is gone and check that the Realtek folder in Program Files is gone. If not delete these manually. 3. Reboot. 4. Disengage networking. 5. F-Secure. Disengage virus protection and Deep Guard. 6. Run the install as Administrator. 7. From the Realtek folder copy the manager to the desktop. 8. Re-engage F-Secure. 9. Re-engage networking. I suspect the Deep Guard and/or running as user corrupted previous attempts. Regards.
@@famousfighter2310 Howdy. It was some time ago. I have no clear memory of the problem anymore. I would say there were two problems. One was that the RealTek audio always started with full volume. And uninstalling RealTek got stuck in a reboot loop. Later on I messed up my dual boot and had to do clean installs of everything. Flippin' headache. Took me several afternoons and evenings. Clean install of win 10 did not automatically install RealTek and also clean upgrading to win 11 did not install RealTek. I downloaded the latest driver/installer from the RealTek site and did a clean install. The full blast audio start is no more. I suggest a clock synchronization before uninstalling and re-installng. Regards.
Q: Realtek driver install > continuing uninstall loop ? = unplug your internet. Q: Realtek audio manager not installing/working? = Unplug your internet! Reinstall windows with your windows setup (usb) while windows is running. Install drivers that come with your Motherboard CDROM. (restart pc) After that you can plug in internet and let windows update. If you want DTS-X ultra (like me) you can download it from Microsoft store. Took me 2 weeks to figure this all out. Finally got it working. My motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Master (AM4)

It's been a smooth transition. I have never had issues with my Dell OptiPlex PC's or Alienware 17" Laptop. This transition has been as smooth as the finest Single Malt. I perform daily updates in the Microsoft Store and Windows 11 Updates as well as running Dell Support Assistant. I will keep this in mind in the event the Realtek Drivers malfunction. @@gokulkrishnan4721, I scan for ANY UPDATES and run including those in the Microsoft Store and Dell Support. It also updates the anti-virus. I don't put garbage software on my Computer's at all. Such as Cleaning Software. All it does is corrupt files and deletes good registry files. Why not scan every day. If I was still in the military, I would have to do it. It prevents issues.

While my Driver is all updated and up to date (before following this video tutorial), I still don't have Realtek HD Audio Manager anywhere on my computer which kind of sucks, since it seems the main reason behind not having that app is not having updated drivers or something from how all the videos I see say to just update the drivers when I'm trying to find and install realtek HD Audio Manager. Realtek HD Audio drivers are much better than the Realtek UAD drivers which come with most new PC's! 👍 At 6:45 you can see HDA drivers offer a variety of sound enhancements. UAD on the other hand, doesn't offer anything of the kind. You're either stuck with bone stock audio or expected to use some kind of sound enhancement software (such as Nahimic). You can easily wipe UAD drivers completely with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) then install HDA ones.
Realtek is great. I've always wanted to know how to find the drivers. My system has them already, and I think they are up to date, but I should check. Great tutorial! 👍
One thing not stressed enough in this video is the version update he shows is from Windows 11...and there is one big note that should have been in the video. If you are on windows 10...2017 for that driver is the last update, so when you go check your version, it will say the 2017 version, you have done everything correctly. There is no windows update for it. Now maybe I am wrong, if so please correct me here.
When my pc reboots it does not resume the update process. I've never seen that happen before on a driver install that triggers its own reboot to complete the process.
Good video overall, however I would first try the manufacturer drivers first, and if they are older than Realtek's release then I would go ahead and use theirs instead. If you are on Windows Pro or above you should just disable driver updates on Windows update by using registry or the group policy editor. It's a pain and will constantly push older driver versions to you even though your driver version is later than theirs, and you will need to reinstall all your updated drivers manually every single time you run windows update. For Windows Home there is no fix available so unfortunately you are going to have to bear with this downgrade nightmare.
Here's something very important that I found out about audio drivers as a whole. This might solve most your problems.This is most likely applicable in case of laptops. Not all laptops have HD audio drivers, even if you try to install it it might show such driver doesn't exist for this device. The thing is as in my case I didn't have realtek hd audio driver instead I have the nahimic audio driver. Thus for other laptop there might be an another dedicated driver. Conclusion it's best to call the customer support for your laptop. As in my case I even had a bios update and got to know many features that I didn't even know were the so please don't try hard to get the HD audio manager for you. There might be something else for you instead.

Click the 3 bars then go to dowloads -> computer peripheral ic -> choose PC audio codecs -> High definition audio -> then its the first one like the guy in the video described with VD at the end. Download the driver appropriate for your operating system

It keeps on making me reinstall it and restarting my pc. After restarting my pc installshield wizard opens back up and says I need to install it and keeps on telling me to restart my pc I need help.

I don't have any clue as to what really solved it, as I messed around for ages. uninstalling/re-installing drivers Etc. I also disabled load windows drivers on start-up(or something like that) and so far it has remained working, although I have not yet powered my system fully off. The only thing missing now is the Realtek Audio console and I just cannot find a successful way to get that to function, so I'll put up with Microsofts very basic adjustment controls for that. I did also install from the Microsoft store, the DTX app and wow what a difference that has made.

Hmm. This piqued my interest. I've been installing modified drivers so that the optical out sends 5.1 (or stereo) DTS Interactive & Dolby Digital Live, but Windows keeps overriding them. So i've been reinstalling my modified drivers every week... Hoping your video shows a solution for Realtek working in DTS/DD 5.1 or 2.1...
I tried to install my driver from both gigabyte and realtek, they install but I'm missing the auido manager and have spent 2 days now trying to get the manager to install. I really need it to remap the 3 audio jacks for my 5.1 surround sound so I can use the jacks as outputs! So frustrated right now

Any idea what could cause this? I'm also having trouble with the motherboard accepting the XMP profile. I'm going to try updating the BIOS and see if makes a difference.

The app was working fine last week then boom suddenly this popup "This app can't open" started to appear since. Now I can't change or select Speaker/ Headset/ Headphones, etc. when I plug in devices in 3.5mm jack, and have to rely on laptop speakers for output and subpar built-in microphone. I don't know if this information is relevant or not but I had windows 10 before and I hoped upgrading to windows 11 would resolve this but it didn't. And I tried reinstalling the app through microsoft app store, and tried this method of downloading directly through TechSpot still no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've been installing modified drivers so that the optical out sends 5.1 (or stereo) DTS Interactive & Dolby Digital Live, but Windows keeps overriding them. So i've been reinstalling my modified drivers every week...
Hoping your video shows a solution for Realtek working in DTS/DD 5.1 or 2.1...
I tried to install my driver from both gigabyte and realtek, they install but I'm missing the auido manager and have spent 2 days now trying to get the manager to install.
I really need it to remap the 3 audio jacks for my 5.1 surround sound so I can use the jacks as outputs! So frustrated right now

@@Britec09 Hey Brian. I ran into a problem installing the audio driver. It got into a cycle of uninstalling the old driver and rebooting. After the 7th time I canceled it. Any idea what could cause this? I'm also having trouble with the motherboard accepting the XMP profile. I'm going to try updating the BIOS and see if makes a difference.
My Reltek just quits in the middle of the game, when something is to loud it just quits and I have to reset the game. It happens sometimes completly randomly.

Hello, I followed all the steps but once arrived on device manager, Realtek does not appear anywhere. It appears only in the Control Panel at Programs and Features. So it is installed but the sound still does not work either. What to do in these case? Thank you

The app was working fine last week then boom suddenly this popup "This app can't open" started to appear since. Now I can't change or select Speaker/ Headset/ Headphones, etc. when I plug in devices in 3.5mm jack, and have to rely on laptop speakers for output and subpar built-in microphone.
I don't know if this information is relevant or not but I had windows 10 before and I hoped upgrading to windows 11 would resolve this but it didn't. And I tried reinstalling the app through microsoft app store, and tried this method of downloading directly through TechSpot still no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thank's so much for this tutorial! Can't seem to get my driver to update past 2017 version though. Also windows now refuses to update drivers, claiming decades old drivers are the latest version and the cursor is stuttering :/
