I enjoyed this season, but I do wish for stats they actually showed profit/loss for the players because it can be hard to figure out who is actually winning and losing when they only show stack size and sometimes don't mention when somebody is adding on. IE: to just say "Garrett has $450,000 in front of him and Krish has $150,000...." that doesn't mean Garrett is winning and Krish is losing just because one guy's stack is bigger than the other
Agree on the profit/loss theory. Always enjoy a NEW season of High Stakes Poker, but this season just doesnt have the personalities this year. If it wasnt foe Neagranu, the show would be dead boring, as most are ultra quiet like Ivey and Dwan. It also needs some friction, so the likes of Matusow, Sheikani, Helmuth would be welcome. However, the player I enjoyed most on HSP was Mr Raisy Daisy himself. Sammy Farha.

@@ZenHolisticFitness not at all how the term punting is taken when you use it in the context that punting is used in. That's why it's called punting. Normally a football team punts on 4th down. But the term punting as in making a mistake is strictly in reference to a coach making the mistake of punting on 2nd or 3rd down accidentally. It's originally a term used competitive card games like magic the gathering. Which alot of magic players graduated into poker. Thanks for coming to my ted talk

I can't believe JRB didn't recognize that huge river overbet as the nuts. Dwan kinda started that move many years ago on the original Poker After Dark but it's certainly much more common these days.
@@172ngan8 probably because he didn't want a 5 to fold or an overpair like the guy had. If the guy had an overpair like AA or KK there's a very big chance he would miss and bet the river anyway thinking he has the best hand. It's a close decision tbh. The vast majority of the time it would probably work out great. But 4betting all in on the turn is pretty sure to get any overpair to fold.
@@172ngan8 you are being result oriented, you cannot see the future but are you ever not jumping at the chance of taking a bet that pays 2 to 1 that wins 96% of the times? Or are you only put money in with opponents drawing dead? This is where you actually make the most money in the long run. The fish sucked out, just keep playing with him and you’ll get your money back and more
Kenney and Krish both took turns punting in that last hand! But Krish’s was on a whole another level. Had he not hit a 2-outer on the river, he was likely punting about half a million in that hand!
I thought that he had to call the flop and turn to see if the board pairs. Then he can fold on the river if it doesn't. But, on the river there were so many chips in the pot already so it's hard not to call a relatively smaller amount to win a big pot just in case he doesn't have a flush.
Bryn has actually had this exact type of cooler happen before on stream. Triton final heads up vs Tim Addams. Ended up tilting Bryn so hard he just punts the rest of his stack away
I have played High Stakes for years and a against a few of the people in this game. I stopped playing because I got rivered by too many "7's" like Kenny did on the last hand. Gut wrenching and soul destroying. Don't miss it one bit.
One of the main reasons I quit as well. Last hand flopped quads. Lost to running quads for 35k. Have not played in two years. Not fun at that point. Then they try and give you poker lesson after bad beat
In the UK 'punting' just means betting. It doesn't suggest it's reckless or ill controlled or staking 'above your head', that'd be 'chasing' or just compulsive gambling.
Full house and you let him buy a 7 like that, there's no point too much money in the pot. How are these people considered as professional if they don't see that the last card matters.
