In a related point, Roman’s motion to disqualify also complains that Wade has “never tried a felony RICO case.” That argument ignores the fact that Willis has separately retained as special counsel one of Georgia’s and indeed the nation’s preeminent experts on RICO, John Floyd. He brings the requisite experience to the team, as does the District Attorney herself. An effective team leader need not have experience in all dimensions of the case. Indeed, this case is so unusual that no one lawyer has all of the requisite experience required and assembling a team is necessary. Willis has said she brought in Wade, who is by all accounts a well-respected lawyer, to manage the team as someone who would be strong in the face of criticisms and who could “wipe off their wounds and we can get back to work.” Finally, Wade’s effectiveness has been amply shown by the successes the team has secured under his leadership over the pendency of the investigation and prosecution.
It’s interesting that the defense thinks he’s not qualified to prosecute them. I suppose they want someone who is more than qualified to prosecute them.

So we're to believe that these two engaged in a relationship that they knew could potentially compromise their case due to ethics concerns... but didn't think it would be a good idea to make sure they have a paper trail to back up their assertions that it was all above board? Not buying it.
Sadly, its believable. Tax law is not on the Bar Exam so most lawyers do not take tax courses. 45 years ago, bar exams in most states tested on tax law and tax courses were mandatory. Now, 80% of lawyers do not understand the concept of "income." Income tax is not an easy course and most law students avoid it. Frankly, it's malpractice to engage in the practice of law without a basic understanding of tax law. What transaction can you name that doesn't have some tax consequence? I suspect that these clowns think that cash doesn't count! I counted admissions to several felonies related to income tax evasion and the poor schmucks didn't understand enough income tax law to realize that they needed to take the 5th on the questions about the paper trail. Sad, isn't it? Maybe that explains why their rate is $125 an hour. You get what you pay for. A good, ethical law firm will likely refuse cash. Too many risks of storage, theft, embezzlement, paperwork for excessive cash deposits, etc.
They engaged in a relationship. There would be no reason to suspect that that relationship, but then become the subject of a court proceeding. We’re not talking about business expenditures were talking about their own personal lives.
@@ImNotNotAllCityChi We're also talking about the law that says such personal relationships are a conflict of interest and prohibited. They can't just do whatever they want and claim "it's personal"
Absolutely. to go that route, you need to go to Vegas and at least pull a few slot handles, etc. for plausible deniability for cash. Problem is that the Bar Exam no longer tests on tax law so law students no longer take tax courses. 80% of attorneys are illiterate on tax law! That is why these attorneys are stumbling all over the place. I think they dropped tax questions on the Bar Exam about 20 years ago. I went to law school in the stone age and at a minimum we took income tax, estate and gift taxation in case there was a tax question on the Bar Exam. The bumbling we are witnessing is because attorneys who took tax law are questioning attorneys who did not!

Absolutely. to go that route, you need to go to Vegas and at least pull a few slot handles, etc. for plausible deniability for cash. Problem is that the Bar Exam no longer tests on tax law so law students no longer take tax courses. 80% of attorneys are illiterate on tax law! @@trishbender7940 I'd love to know why.
He’s a southern gentleman 😂
Fani and Nathan always used cash because its untraceable, these two are very sneaky
squeaky clean
Well at least they learned SOMETHING from Jussie
There was no cash. It’s The Lie.
But the amount of cash being discussed had to be withdrawn from somewhere. They're not at that level of wealth they have that sort of cash just sitting around. She tried to say it's accumulated from years of throwing 'change' from $50 transactions into a dish??
Very corrupt
Man, I need another bump for this, questioning!
Disbarred!!!!
Seems like he's smiling all the way to the Bank
And since when do co-defendants sit and listen to each other's testimony and take notes but I guess this a different kind of court
They picked a lawyer who isnt up to par . Get a real tough lawyer to question these scumbags
They are Trump lawyers, real lawyers know they will not get paid so only the desperate or sycophants will take the job
I find this line of questions to be very informative
"Would of been to my children" oh what a noble man.
Anyone hiring this guy as their lawyer was scraping the bottom of the barrel
He thinks his scam is funny what a corrupt joke !
He is smiling at the sheer absurdity of defendants claims.

He is smiling because he knows the judge has his back no matter what happens.
@@keri5527 , In your religion is lying a sin?
Whoever the interrogater is I would NEVER want him as my lawyer. He's terrible.
i agree, i thought the judge was too lenient as far as the prosecutors questions - this guy and the lady. the interrogation dragged on and on and questions used slanted language and seemed to be unprepared. i would have upheld numerous defence objections and told the lawyer that he needed to be prepared better tomorrow or it would get worse. period.
@@terrenceolivido741you have no clue what you're talking about 😂😂😂😂

This is the result of affirmative action. This man has NO business being in this business
Interesting the the legal community and the government hates the use of cash, but the DA and her paramour seem to have no problem with obscuring their financial dealings by the use of cash. If their activities are honest and above board, why are they dealing in cash? There should be record of Willis taking that cash out of whatever source disbursed it.
IRS should have a serious fluorescent glow in the dark target on both of these liars to say nothing of the State of Georgia investigating misuse of funds
What a fucking joke
Precisely my good man, or ?
This entire fake interrogation of Willis and Wade?
I AGREE!
This is definitely a joke and a WASTE OF TAXPAYERS MONEY!
@@Saculv4918 umm no their responses are the joke nothing like admitting to embezzling money from your campaign funds. “I took a large amount of cash from my first campaign” 😂😂😂 I know it’s rough to stray away from cnn but open your eyes a little bit.
Absofreakinglutely....

Not a lot of faith that the judge will disqualify these self entitled, privileged, corrupt home wreckers.
I am glad you already know that
I know not a lot of faith I feel the same way
I agree > we need to Pray > THIS CORRUPTION HAS TO STOP
Why are we even watching it, when we already know the outcome
Is the judge a Trump hating Democrat? Then they will walk, to continue the farce trial against Trump.
Unbelievable that Wade , a public employee, has to ask for definition of "public funds"
When they say "he was a good boy, he wanted to grow up to be a lawyer," this is the lawyer.

He is so self-satisfied that he has no paper trail for the money. That is so telling!
They need to get his bank records also if he is accepting cash in his private practice, is he claiming that money as income to the IRS, lots of questions
Have to follow the Georgia statute.
@@normancarter5419 the Georgia statute? Are they that the same as the Georgia election rules/laws?
