Love the video! I keep Phenacogrammus aurantiacus and have noticed that the females actually have a brighter yellow body color than the males, which seem to dim those yellows to flash iridescent green stripes along the belly along with the blue around the eyes. Additionally, the males also get longer fins like the standard Congo tetra. I hope they eventually become more common in the hobby as they a spectacular fish. Cheers!
Definitely beautiful tetras!! I love seeing new fish in the hobby! Just wondering how much money the people that actually collect these rare, or hard to find, fish actually get? Do they get pennies or dollars? I would hope that they get a decent price for a fish that sells for $40 or $70 in the US!
Really enjoyed this video. Stunning fish! It would be great to know the minimum number of fish of each species to buy to make them feel comfortable in an aquarium. Thanks again!
Great video. For breed H.cherry tetra the males are bigger than the females and choose those with yellow bodies for breeders because spawn faster. The females are red and small, choose those with fatty belly.
My peppered catfish has a problem staying on its stomach. She will swim around and be fine then you look and she is on her side. The small male is fine. Have you ever seen this and if so how do I treat her.
Is it me or say if I was going to have a 180-display tank. It seems like all these could be kept together in a planted rare tetra tank. If I am wrong, please correct me and tell me why I am wrong?
Second viewing. P.aurantiacus will forever be beyond my means but I'm happy with the regular Congo tetras. Always have them. Blueberries will come down in price by the time I have better water. I like the H.haraldschultzei better than H.'Red Cherry, '.Harald's brother had the Tropicarium Frankfurt and he'd import fish from Brasil. Went there o a fruitless quest to get killies when I lived in France but did get these.
Let's see... schooling fish, so we'll want 20... $70 each... That's only 1,400 bucks! I'll buy them and hope to God that nothing bad happens to the tank they're in, since that's way more money than I have.
your co narrator the female seems to be offended by the males of different varieties of tetras. she is upset that the male tetras are more beautiful than the females. 🤣🤣🤣

Those Pastels! Blueberry!!! Wow!! I only have a few tanks, so I have to maximize what I buy. I'd totally spend the $$ for some pricier fish.

I wish the the lampai congos were more affordable in my area they are running about 60-70 a fish.
Imo fish being expensive is a good thing to an extent. They're living beings after all.
Superb
I have the…Red Cherry Tetras it is absolutely stunning, but is bigger and more colorful than the Ember Tetras!
Not only do they break the bank but they also steal your heart.
I am sorry, what's that white fish with black markings 6:56
Those are Hyphessobrycon Parvellus
