      I could only listen to so much of your bullshit narrative. It's clear you have no understanding of police procedures. The police department may have paid out but they did a calculation based on how much it would cost them to defend the case versus pay it off.
      The call they received from a retired police officer was that two individuals - not two black men necessarily - 2 individuals made forcible entry into a home. The statement that it was two black individuals was as a form of identification and not racial bias. The mouth in the background was the one going off about how it was white cops against black people. Typical bullshit when you have individuals in custody suspected of committing a crime. Based on his training and experience as a police officer he was given proper credit for his observations.
      You incorrectly inferred wrongdoing of Officer Valentina because she drew her weapon. Not knowing whether in fact a burglary was in progress or whether the subjects were armed, that is standard procedure. It is irrelevant whether the other officer pulled his weapon. You failed to note however that he had his hand on his weapon ready to pull it. That's an important distinction you failed to make. More importantly, Officer Valentina's actions were reasonable. She was professional the entire time and not abusive of either individual. She showed no racial bias whatsoever. Typical black man screaming racism just to get a pay day. By the way, I'm black. Look at my profile.
      The officers did not conduct a Terry frisk. They were searching two believed burglary suspects. That was not an investigatory detention. It was a reasonable suspicion borderline probable cause detention. It would appear that although they had a lock box key the main door itself may have been stuck and require them to put their shoulder into it which is what the witness stated. How many burglars do you know come out and give you a bullshit story? It was fortunate that he had a realtor ID and matching business cards.
      There was a time in my career when I was checking a particular location for possible burglary in progress which was right next to a post office. It was on a Saturday. An individual presented himself out the rear door and indicated that they were doing work on the weekend. Not seeing identification on the alleged postal worker my partner and I turned our attention to these two individuals who in fact were burglarizing the US Post Office. So while you infer and speculate and incorrectly State a Terry Stop you know nothing about police procedure. When you're on the street it is guilty until proven otherwise. Based on the circumstances of a report they forced entry into a residence, that's a crime in progress. That's not a Terry Stop. That's a crime in progress.
      You indicated that the police officer went into the pockets of the subject which was against a Terry Stop. What you fail to mention was the subject was indicating that there was a key in a particular location and that he was needed to verify that they in fact had access to the lockbox. When asked for identification he stated it when he was in his right rear pocket. That gave the officer the authorization to go in and retrieve it. That's not a Terry Stop. That's a crime in progress stop.
      The city paid out but that does not mean that was wrong doing on the part of the officers. You failed to state whether or not the officers received individual punishment for their actions. It would be appropriate if the officers had not followed police procedure that they would have received days off, which according to Civil Service policy requires the agency to publicize or make available that information under the Freedom of Information Act.
      You've done nothing but give inaccurate information based on your bullshit understanding of police procedure and court cases.
      I don't have a problem with Auditors when they do a fair audit Yours is a hit piece. Yours was biased from the beginning. You read some court case decision that did not apply in this instance. Unless you're a law student that has an in-depth knowledge of the 4th amendment and can tell me I'm wrong and how, I'm going to stick with 26 years a practical experience supplemented by in service training. It's not even your own footage.

      JustAnotherGuy A severe problem these days is that cops are out here taking accusations of wrongdoing as the end all be all. Like you said, guilty until proven innocent. That is not only the wrong way to conduct yourself as an human being, but it ends up with settlements as we have seen countless times.
      Now I expect you to disagree and curse at me as you have the video’s creator, and that’s fine.
      Just know that assuming guilt is no way to treat another person, particularly when they are being cordial with you. What would be the harm in performing a terry frisk and then allowing the “suspects” to provide their own evidence to support their claims instead of cuffing and searching them?

    • @walkingman8943
      @walkingman8943 4 ปีที่แล้ว +44

      JustAnotherGuy Also, the officers begin illegally searching the gentleman before he ever states where his license or business cards are. Not sure why anyone think it’s okay to search people beyond a terry frisk just because a tip was made that someone was possibly performing a B&E.

      EDIT: Allow me to clear up something, several here have read this statement and assumed I'm a sexist/ misogynist/ bigot/ asshole man that thinks women can't handle emotion AND THAT IS NOT THE WAY I FEEL.
      I feel women in general are more emotional than men, that is due to my own interactions with women and being married. I have never once thought women are less than men in anyway however. If you think I feel that way after me saying that then I don't care. You don't know me, you only think you do from a single comment made by me.

    • @86thsamurai
      @86thsamurai 4 ปีที่แล้ว +80

      @@LcZero The ERA has yet to be ratified and is only a proposed amendment. For decades women were not allowed to join the military. I use this example in an attempt to point out that just because a woman isn't allowed to do something, it doesn't necessarily mean she is being denied her rights.
      Look at it like this, there are male and female divisions of sports for a reason. Women are not inferior to men, please don't misunderstand me, however they are different from men. I believe that statement cannot be argued. Women are built differently physically and mentally, and if for an example women were allowed to integrate into male sports, there would be alot of women hurt from the larger and more muscular men.
      Biologically moat men have the ability to compartmentalize emotions much better than most women. As a result of this, the government saw fit to not have women serve in the armed forces for the longest time not only due to this fact, but also the fact that the average woman would not be able to keep up physically with the average man.
      On top of those two considerations, there is also the matter that the women are the reproducers of our race and are viewed as much more of an asset than us men.
      With these points laid out, I feel the same logic can be applied to law enforcement. I do know there are some women that can handle th stress and may even be able to outperform a male counterpart, however with that said I also feel as a whole men have a greater potential to perform well with the job.
      I see no difference in men and women as far as worth as a human being is concerned, but I do feel there are vasy differences between us biologically and emotionally.

    Just gotta love how she immediately found MORE evidence as to the veracity of him being a realtor than the caller had for suggesting he was breaking and entering, but it still wasn't enough for her and she kept digging in his pockets anyway and demanding the key for no reason. How it should have gone:
    Knock on the door
    "Hey, we got a call complaining about a forced entry here"
    "Oh, no, I'm just showing this house to a prospective buyer"
    "Are you the realtor?"
    "Yeah," shows his business card.
    "Well I'm sorry for the misunderstanding, sir. You have a great day."

Stiff punishment in order to make them think better, and before making a judgement call such as this. We all need to be better. Lawrence Raysor I’ll take that...however I am 41, and am from Lutcher, LA where my parents also grew up during the times of segregation etc. streets they could not walk down because they were black, you know. I’ve been to prison, and upon my arrival to (returning) a creative me scene I created, I was apprehended, and slightly assaulted. The evidence was in my mug shot as my cheekbone was swollen. I brought that entire situation upon myself so it isn’t relatable to the thing certain individuals go through. It doesn’t make it any less wrong, especially since the cop took the stand a year later, and lied. Can’t be held accountable if you’re reading from a document you typed up I guess. In my eyes it’s still perjury. So yeah I can somewhat be categorized. Anything else?

      This is why I say there aren't many "good" cops ...because if there were there wouldn't be any bad cops...the good ones would turn them in or force them out. But the prevalence of "bad" cops in the police community means, by default, other officers either look the other way or implicitly agree with the bad behavior...meaning they are not good cops.
