    Great episode. The Blue Angels bird behind you when you were doing your intro is a Grumman F11F Tiger. The Blues were flying that aircraft when my Dad took me to an airshow when I was seven. Right then and there I knew I was going become a Navy fighter pilot. And I did. We drove past the Pima Museum in June in our RV, and I would have loved to stop, but we were pressed for time. I could have spent days there. Incidentally, that’s Davis-Monthan Air Force Base next door.

    I was born and raised in Tucson. The air and Air and Space Museum is awesome. The fly overs got real old, real quick.

    Those regulators will do that when trash gets in them. It could be something else but that is almost always what I found with leaking regulators. And since you are having trouble with your fridge while it's running on gas, probably the same issue. You may have gotten a tank full of dirty gas. I would unhook every connection and remove every filter you find. (usually cone shaped metal screens. The trash is usually white chalky looking stuff.) Clean and replace. And purge all the pipes backwards. Also instal filters between your tanks and the regulator. Hit up a propane store or a HVAC company. They will have the knowledge instead of buying overpriced stuff from a clueless kid at camping world.
    And those were C-130 transports. The military has used them for all kinds of missions! Very tough plane! The Blue Angels use one for their cargo and it has rocket assisted take off! Purdy cool I think. I was also surprised to see TY on some of those planes. That stands for Tyndall Air Force Base. I live 2 miles from there. It's where they train F-22 pilots. See them almost every day. And I like the FA-18 better that the F-15. :-) But that's just me.
    Another great video guys! (sorry I wrote a book)

      th-cam.com/video/Oh7kP-9iOsI/w-d-xo.html The blue angels rocket assisted C-130 It's named "FAT ALBERT".

    • @FateUnbound
      @FateUnbound  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hm I didn't know that, thanks Matt! I already replaced the regulator so hopefully this issue doesn't spring up again. The fridge is working properly now too so I think the regulator leaking was causing it to act funny, it probably wasn't getting enough pressure. I think what you said would be good to do just to be safe, but unfortunately I don't really have the means to do that kind of job right now. That's a good idea to go to a propane/HVAC company for help instead of camping world, they'll definitely have more knowledge than anyone at camping world.
      Wow we checked out "Fat Albert" and that is amazing! The jet assisted takeoff was really cool to watch. And I saw some F-22's at a local air show a couple years back and they were incredible.

      +matthew and michelle Yeah we think the issue is fixed. Hopefully it wasn't dirty gas like you said or the issue may reappear! Thanks Matt!

    The F15A was a big deterrent when I was stationed in Germany in the late 70's and early 80's. The airbase at Bitburg (great beer too, Bitte ein Bit!) was home to that fighter. I was stationed on one of the HAWK anti-aircraft missile batteries that surrounded the airbase back then. We could see the 15's approach the runway for landing and they appeared to float down unlike the other planes of that era. At the time the Soviets had nothing that could compete against it.

    As a pilot you had me at Pima Air Museum! You have just created a “MD” (must do!) for me whenever I get to this area. I will definitely try the BLM site and be at the museum. I even might make the 10 day pre-reservation to see the boneyard. I love anything where I can see old stuff, cars, trucks, machinery, buildings and especially planes. I restored a 1972 Cessna 150 completely and a 1963 Piper Apache 235 partially as that was all it needed. I see a flight bug in Jenni. Go to an airport and take an intro lesson. This will cost usually between $75-$120 but will be a life changing experience even if you never do it again. You will be flying the plane. Could be a great Christmas gift to someone! Video was good and I will have to watch it a few times to check out the planes further. Keep it up!

    • @FateUnbound
      @FateUnbound  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha yeah I thought you'd like this one. The BLM site we are in is incredibly convenient for staying near Tucson! We really enjoyed ourselves at the Pima Air & Space Museum and I'm sure you'd be able to appreciate it all even more than we did.
      Wow that is really cool that you restored those two airplanes. Do you still have them or did you sell them? Got any pictures you could send us of them? I think the intro lesson is an awesome idea. That would absolutely be worth the money and I think we both might do that! Thanks again Dave =)

    Sometime if you get to the East coast, go to North Carolina Outer Banks to the Wright Brothers museum. It's not huge, but it's pretty cool. Then do the light house tours.

      Thanks we're glad you enjoyed it! I will definitely review the Oxygenics shower head once we've used it a bit and have some good feedback to give. We REALLY needed a solution to our factory shower head. The pressure it put out was absolutely pathetic!

    I will try and send a picture of the planes. I sold them so my son would have funds for college plus they were getting expensive to maintain. Loved flying them everywhere, Key West and all the possible stops along the way to Canada.

    • @FateUnbound
      @FateUnbound  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We got the email and saw the pictures, those are really cool! It's unfortunate you had to sell them, but we can only imagine how expensive it would be to maintain and store. That's pretty nice of you as a father to make that sacrifice so your son would have money for college, kudos to you!! I can imagine flying over Key West and the wilderness in Canada, how gorgeous was that!!

      It was great and I got to fly for many more years for a corporation with a bigger piston twin the Cessna 421B Golden Eagle, a complicated but great plane. Not flying at the moment as I think I’m retired from it and hiking and this RV stuff has bit me like bug! One friend of mine wants me to fly for their company but I think I’m enjoying what I’m doing more for the moment. Maybe if I start running out of money!!! BTW, I once got the great opportunity to fly with a former WWII B-24 bomber pilot. He was 94 at the time and had flown over 30 missions over Italy, France, and Germany. I took him up in my little Cessna and let him fly it over his farm. Was a great thrill for both of us!
      BTW, if you do think about going for an intro flight, get on AOPA.org and look at the flight training short videos. It’s all free to promote aviation.

    I like how you work to synch the changing scenes with the beat of the music; however, some new scoring would be wonderful. I've noticed the same songs over and over and over. Gets distracting to me, but otherwise, I am really enjoying your work.
