Thanks for making the video and all the comments. I just bought a UDR yesterday and it was great. Today 6/7/20 it's doing the fast red blinking lights and does work. 😥 . I currently have my Slash ultimate Vxl 3S ESC and motor already at Traxxas headquarters. Luckily I had only owned it for 28 days and Traxxas is replacing that one thank goodness. I guess I have to do another claim for the 6s in the UDR. SMH. I'm running traxxas brand lipo batteries 3S 25C with the 50C burst. I don't know if that has anything to do with it but they're the ones the hobby store I bought the trucks from recommended. Freaking ridiculous. I've spent $$$$$$ and bought 4 Traxxas products (Slash VXL & Ultimate, La Trax 1/16 Slash, UDR) in a 45 day stretch and half failed. Come on Traxxas! I live in Texas and try to support local companies but jeez. Thanks again for the video.
Don’t ever use 25C batteries. 50c to 75c is what I run.. 25c is too small of current rate for anything.. I don’t know why traxxas makes all their batteries that way but I’ve had them before and never any luck.. also.. No Traxxas esc is worth keeping to me.. Hobby Wing are much better.
My erevo 2.0 just started doing it also. I thought the batterys were dead. But I don't thinks so I've noticed over the past free months. The esc. Hasn't been throttling like it supposed to. But I never like it anyway. That why I have to spare max 6 ese. Hobby wing. That what I'm putting in mine. Good luck.
I know the issue, its happened three times after the same thing. Getting it wet, or a wash heavy. I washed my VXL 8s heavily, and next run, bam, critical error (this exact one). Another one, after a wash, same, critical error. One for my maxx, heavy wash, critical error. All after a wash, and i ran them after the bashing and powered on too, so it is the washing or getting wet, muddy issue.
I have that problem with my erevo 2.0 (esc vxl 6) when all the LEDs are red, it means that there is a programming error, or so it is written in the manual .... the problem is that it must be sent to traxxas for reprogramming and we as simple users cannot set a factory reset or something like that, especially if we use telemetry and we have the possibility to update software
Yup. That just happened to me. ESC is fried. Time for an upgrade. I don't think I'm going to get another Traxxas esc. They are weak. I'll just get an aftermarket one. It's been more than one month for me, so I'm beyond their crappy warranty
@@mobicey Sorry to hear that. Honestly it was kind of my fault since I put bigger tires on the maxx and was running it slowly on a hot day. I also fried the redcat esc. I decided to slap my old xmaxx 8s esc that I had laying around and it's still working fine. It bolts right up. The max 8 esc is what most people use aftermarket. Good luck! Is yours under warranty? Traxxas has a pretty good warranty. Or just go for the max 8 esc TBH
Fuck traxxas my new revo is doing same shit.so fckn pist.dealing with sending it off and all that b.s$ 800 + out the door.with batteries.you would think the fucking electronics would at least work for a year or so.by the book every step every time and now this same shit is happening to mine.traxxas trash
Bummer same story here, got the Maxx shelled out some serious cash, Three days later, this same thing happens. You would think with the amount of money ppl are willing to spend on "good quality" that this would not be an issue. Very disappointed 😞
@@mascoffeegrande2763 get a mamba x my maxx does standing backflips off the ground now but I got upgrades for it because it is to powerful with the mamba for the drive shafts so you will have to get metal ones but those are a arm and a leg cost but trust me totally worth it
Y esc on my blx100 is flashing red and won't let me drive forward or backwards because I was messing with the settings on it and I hit a wrong setting and I'm not sure what I did
I have same problem with vxl6 I buy seperate . Worked for Luke 5-6 months and program error. It's bullshit when I have to pay again. Even if it's $75 . If it's software error then reprogram . Unless the have special chip. Try disconnect motor leads touch motor leads . Plug three wire connector . Jump terminals. Who know. Just remember what you did if it fixes. I'm doing that right now.

Same after 2 weeks of purchase my first RC - E-Revo 2.0. I am still waiting for ESC. I will never buy traxxas again.
I mean they are solid cars but do come with issues.
The E-revo has a lot of issues and you should have done your research before you bought it as your first fucking rc.
Just got my maxx brand new ran it for one night left it for the night charged the battery in the morning and it is doing the exact thing as yours

Traxxas electronics are soo bad but good
That means the ESC is critical failure which basically means that ESC is junk mine did the same thing
This happened to my newly bought xmaxx. Literally drove it ONE time for 15 mins and the esc crapped out. I was and still am sour about it
Same with my E-revo. It only happens to the larger esc's in the maxx E-revo UDR and X-maxx. Doesn't happen to the 3s esc's.

Same thing happened to my erevo. Seen people having this issue on the udr and xmaxx too. Seems most common on the VXL-6s in the erevo and udr.

Try the recever to channel 3 then back some how it works i had to do this to 2 esc i don't know y it fixed it was about to dump them
Luckily for me, my Maxx was still under warranty.
Even if it's not under warranty you get a 50% discount on it.
