- This is my typical Italian morning routine. I recently went home to Italy and I thought I would share what my daily life in Italy looks like when I wake up in my hometown. Apart from coffee, an important part of the Italian lifestyle is definitely food. Pastries for breakfast are part of our tradition and coming home to this breakfast is always something I look forward to. A freshly baked cornetto in the morning really is heaven! If you’ve ever tried real Italian pastries you’ll know what I’m talking about.
After breakfast, I almost always go out to explore the city. No matter how many times I have visited a place, there is always opportunity to see the world in a different perspective. Towards the end of the morning, I’ll return home to prepare some home cooked food and a sweet treat or two.

Those fried squash flowers are delicious. It belongs to the same family as pumpkin. Pumpkin flowers are common in Indian state of Bengal.
