    Ryan, this interview with Rob Hubert is among the most impactful, meaningful & important Podcast available.
    I’m an old Vietnam guy. Most of my life has had some relationship with the Defense Dept. Including my career in Hawaii with the Corps of Engineers. Special Ops, SEALS, Green Berets, Delta, Air Force PJ’s always held a very special place when considering doing things that mattered. Now I have a Cousin who’s a Frogman & made Chief in under 10 yrs.
    Rob, sharing the experiences of your life as an Operator, Brother, I know you have & will save some Vets lives. The way we deal with the combat experiences, losses, voices, nightmares, random thoughts that surface for whatever reasons, We all have to know there are ways & there is help that works.
    There are so many young men & women who served & will become symptomatic with PTS in the coming 6, 8, 10 years.
    Thank You Brother for finding a meaningful way to protect our most precious resource, our kids, grandkids, great grandkids. You continue to make a vital contribution to mankind, (mankind ????😅).

    That flag is the "Combined Operations" insignia, originated in WW2 and used mainly by Commando Forces that utilised Naval and Air Commands to help their missions. The Insignia is still used within 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines, mainly by a small unit by the name of 148 (Meiktila) Commando Forward Observation Battery, a sub unit within 29 Commando Regt Royal Artillery ( Army Commandos ) that provide fire support to the RM infantry units. 148 teams operate forward, beyond the Marine companies
    , they work within the Brigade Recce Force ( Recently now called the Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron ), The badge you see on the flag is used as a qualification badge, presented and worn on sleeves once you have passed the selection course . 148 is an "All Arms" unit and accepts volunteers from across the armed forces and also has Royal Marines as part of its man power. All men are parachute trained and can jump onto land or sea, arrive on a target by ski, vehicle, parachute or Submarine, of all the Commando units within the Brigade ( SBS excluded ) 148 are probably the only unit to truly represent the ethos of a Commando unit, small 5 or 6 man teams that can Infiltrate, call in Artillery, Naval Gunfire, Rotary and Fixed wing attack aircraft, gather Int, carry out direct action tasks and liaise with agents, we have also had members attached on secondment to Seal teams as FAC's. Not bad for a unit that isn't actually an SF unit 😎..

    I love these pods. I doubt you’ll see this but I’m gonna give a regular dudes perspective. These pods have to be LONGER! Hearing their upbringing and post career if intriguing and love it. But I am obsessed with hearing downrange stories. I get these guys can’t say everything but man I’d love to hear a ton of combat stories. I watch all of these and I am subscribed.

    Another awesome interview Mr. Fugit. Your questions, your style are excellent. Allowing Rob to tell the story of the incident that Ebbert perished, (without interruption, as some interviewers typically do, and cause the teller to lose some track), he in effect put me right there, and the follow-on story of his commanders mental decline right before the squad/companies eyes, ultimately taking his life in-country…., OMG, how tragic no matter how much that person may have been despised.
    Thank you sir.

    Roughly 7000 US troops lost their lives in the GWOT. 70 to 85 MILLION people worldwide , roughly, lost their lives in ww2. There were single battles where the death toll neared the entire losses of the GWOT. I'm not downplaying anyone's service or battles, just pointing out that we can't really comprehend what battle on that scale was like anymore. Saw this guy and his partners on Mike Drop as well and they are brilliant and dedicated men. I hope their technology changes the world for the better!

    • @G2Precision
      @G2Precision ปีที่แล้ว

      The big difference is the GWOT lasted 20 years, WWII 4 years and Vietnam 10 years. Most soldiers in WWII and Vietnam saw 1 or 2 years of combat. Most of our Tier 1 team did 10-15 deployments totaling 5 to 10 years of total combat time. Our 70-75 man squadron killed 30 enemy combatants a night for 7 years straight. I imagine that's probably not been done before. The public has no idea what we did and how often we did it...

    • @MrCashewkitty
      @MrCashewkitty ปีที่แล้ว

      @@G2Precision length of conflict and number of deployments could certainly factor. You must have been part of some really secret squirrel, black ops shit if your unit killed 74,000 people. That's more than any other American unit....ever.

    Rob Huberty has gone on many podcasts with an agenda of denigrating Cmdr Job Price’s character. He is clearly executing on a plan that helps to protect those who were in Afghanistan when Cmdr Price died. Almost like he is trying to establish an alibi. Maybe. 🤷🏼‍♂️

    This is Darth Vader’s sister. The one you call a completely ineffective leader. I would love for you to have respect for Job Price’s family enough to speak to us to our faces instead of badmouthing a man who is dead and can’t defend himself for likes on a podcast. So disrespectful and a reflection of who Rob Huberty is as a person. Disgusting.
