Josh, I taught. our kids how to wash / wax the car over the years (started when they were younger), and last night, our son said, “this Josh guy has made car washing FUN”! Thank you for making great videos with wonderful content that different generations can learn from. 😊

I bought this one a couple of months ago when this thing only had like 2 Amazon reviews (1 of them being a bad review). Essential Washer has its own website, Texas office address, seemed legitimate, bought one out of faith and to support US based companies. I haven’t been disappointed yet. Knock on wood.

There 18” extension wand is a great value at 29 bucks. My set up is red so no go for me but their stuff looks nice. I like Ridge Washer the best for value.

@@raulfernandezjr5295 I have used it maybe 5 times, so far so good. I can’t comment on how it compares to others since my only other experience was with the stock Karcher gun, which felt like a pos compare to the Essential Washer gun.

  • @Maineuser
    @Maineuser ปีที่แล้ว +1

Josh! I’m so glad to see this. Following pressure washer research today - seeing the SunJoe SPX 2680 might be just fine (you demonstrated terrific foam!) - I was wondering about the next step up, ‘pretty’ BLUE SunJoe SPX 3000-SJB. Not reviewed, but with higher 2030 PSI and 1.76 GPM, it’d have to be okay, too? Right? The 3000 extreme and 4004 you did review didn’t seem to be as good, somehow…
And with both the blue Uber hose and blue MJJC SV-3, the BLUE SunJoe would, as you say, be SO very copacetic…. (And this is something, considering blue’s not my favorite color.). It’s look really GREAT!
As a senior lady totally new to all of this - and starting, thinking a pressure washer must be equivalent to the humongous barrel compressor my late husband had in the garage - I started with hose sprayer guns. I studied what seemed dozens. How does one get that thick, shaving cream foam? Believing which gun was key, I stumbled next onto the IK 12 or 20 and Marolex Axel 7000 hand pump sprayers. Stay-put foam! But uh! What would happen to my arm?
That led to learning accidentally about battery pumps and tire pumps for them, and thinking, well, those would be really great for washing the car in the wintertime in the non-freezing garage, too. Ready to research pumping aids, then, I learned power washers weren’t that big or expensive…. Wow. I’m back to square one? And now I’m onto studying them, thinking with today starting Amazon Prime, I actually could get a Cat or Active or …, maybe. But no…. Only the big Greenworks, it seems. have special Prime deals.
So. Josh, what would you do? Hand pumps automated for year-round? But how? OR a beautiful, slim, easy to navigate 3000 psi BLUE SunJoe for $169, OR perhaps, a 1900 psi Ryobi for $179? By the way, without stumbling upon the blue, there’s no way I could have ever purchase the putrid SunJoe color green, even though it might be the same color on the Ryobi. Like you, I love coordinating colors. You should see what I’ve come up with for bucket, dolly, mitts, mops and ladder, etc..
Please know I’d be lost without your perfect videos and all your hard work in educating everybody. You have no idea! And among many posters, once I saw you came to the same conclusion, endorsing and even selling the wonderful Mitt on a Stick - following all my research on that, against the Incredipole and Griot Garages mop - I knew I could sit back and rely on you for my go-to for everything else. (And with Pan!).
I’ve just bought a stick (but the aluminum version you don’t carry!) and microfiber Dragon mitts that are everywhere sold out. Next, besides which propulsion, I’ll be choosing one of the MJJC cannons and one of your recommended pressure washers next. Phew. I’m still going thru dozens of your ‘how to pick/buy’ videos!
Again, I so love the blue. And you think the non-Pro “S” cannon is just as good - for the thick foam? (It might be still in my stack to view.) I just wish there was a rule of thumb (besides narrow orifice, good GPM, on how to know which gun/cannon or nozzle gives the wonderful thick foam we all desire. At least you’ve actually demonstrated among these how to exactly do it…
But hmmm…. Whadayathink about the Blue SunJoe, too?
    Thanks SO very much,
    Linda

I purched the swivel model and enjoyed for a couple of months. Gun stared to not completely shut-off, leaking profusely. I decided to break down the unit and inspect the triger valve. Found a small piece of metal blocking the ball seat that appears to have come from the compression spring. Unfortunately, the small spring was knocked off the work bench, and as springs can do, it bounced to who knows where. It's gone!
Contacted Essential Washed to ask if the spring had a part number and where I could find and purchase a replacement. Written reply was: Sorry, but we don't carry separate pieces. We have them built for us as a whole unit. The only parts that can be replaced would be the 3/8"NPT Stainless Steel Quick Connect and the 1/4" Stainless Steel Quick Connect Male Plug.
To find an after-market replacement, I understand you need some of the following basic spring specifications. If you or any of your fellow detailers & diy followers know I'd very much appreciate it.
    Outside diamete
    Inside diameter
    Wire size
Free length, also called "free standing length"
Compression load: How much force does it take to compress
    Number of coils

The water/foam dial is flemsy but it still did foam well for my application. I think it really comes down to the type of soap. I have some cheap AutoZone soap testing the value of it. Thanks for the videos Josh, I got the mjjc, flexzilla, and swivel gun. Which pressure washer do you recommend getting that I can store the flexzilla hose easily? I have ryobi 2000 but I just wrap it around for the time being. Also, let us know what brushes and towels you use.

      Not worth it
I bought one last year, I sent it back. You spend more time getting the hose right than working
Get the one from essential washer, the 50 feet $90.00. It comes with swivel and stainless steel connectors. They have gray or blue as the washer gun that Josh is reviewing here. Great quality!

The ridge washer value is hard to beat and the trigger lock is a nice feature. If you’re using it for washing cars and not exceeding a crazy amount of psi I’d probably go with the ridge washer for value

Looked like a great gun, I bought the stainless steel swivel version. Liked the way the trigger felt along with the nickel plating. But after waiting about 3 weeks for it to arrive, used it as soon as it arrived and it started to leak from the swivel itself. Maybe I got a defective one, but nonetheless this was my experience with it.
