Yeah I was there last week for the first time and my wife’s cousin designed most of galaxies edge. I’ve known this kid since he was 10 and I made sure I was behind my group and almost out of sight when we got to the falcon. It was one of the proudest and most awe inspiring moments of my life. So yeah my eyes were sweating like splash mountain for a minute lol.
Thank you for adding the tip to be kind and patient with the cast members. Working Disney, we see a lot of different people and it's always the kind ones who just smile and are understand that truly make our day! :)
Ppl shouldn’t need reminding, and I’m guessing Dan-o is preaching to the choir, but a friendly reminder never hurts. Thx for all you do! DL is my best escape from work & stress, & your kindness & care make all the difference.
@@lcflngn Thank you for the kind words. I word at WDW in MK, and you're right there shouldn't be a need for a reminder. But like we say, some guests leave their brains and manners at the turnstiles. It's so easy to forget manners when rushing around or when frustrated when your expectations are not being met. As CM Disney becomes my escape too, and when we get kind guests like you, it truly brightens our day and helps time fly ^_^
Most important tip - watch Dan-O's other videos. I went in thinking I wanted a Protection and Defense saber and a BB unit, but after watching his videos I decided on a Peace and Justice saber and an R-series droid, and I'm so much happier with them.
I will most definitely read the comics before I go, thx for the tip! Reservation day on my calendar, budget at the ready 😊 I have long wanted Rose’s Resistance ring, but if it’s not better than the ones I’ve seen on Etsy, I’ll look for the keychain I saw in another vlog. Rly wondering how the stock in the Droid depot is going... Still haven’t decided on a droid, but that’s probably a good thing?
My family is going this January. None of us have ever been to disney before and I am super excited. This video is definitely something we are all gonna watch! Thank you!!

Loved your video! We have spent 3 days so far in Galaxy's Edge in WDW and have had the time of our life! The tips were awesome and right on point! Thanks for sharing the excitement!
Hi Dan-O, hope you're doing great, I just wanted to thank u for all ur interesting and helpful videos! Since Galaxy' Edge... well... existed, I wanted to go. I'm a huge Star Wars fan and collector, so the idea of literally "being" part of Star Wars was lovely. I've never been to Disney, but in some days I'll visit it! I like the take a break. I haven't been to Disneyland in 15 years. My hotel was across the street from the park. I'd get there b4 Disney opens to go downtown and get coffee. Then head back to my hotel around 2 or 3 and go back to the bark around 430 or 5 an stay till closing. Great idea.

I visited during a weekday in November. (Disneyland in Anaheim) It wasn’t crowded at all. Waited roughly 30min to Pilot the Falcon - Standard line, no fast pass - and 10min to enter the Cantina. (We didn’t have a reservation) There was no line to build a droid either and we didn’t have a reservation. Just walked up, paid and started building. As for Savis Workshop, we weren’t able to get in. To build a lightsaber you do need a reservation. So plan ahead! Wish I knew this ahead of time. As for the shops, there was plenty of stock for everything. I bought a Jedi Temple Guard lightsaber hilt + blade, 3 Kyber Crystals (Red, White and Purple) and a Jedi Holocron. There was no rules that I knew of when purchasing my goods. Overall, I had a really good time visiting Galaxies Edge. It was awesome. There was very little to no lines for Blue / Green Milk, and the other food stop. Had an amazing time and I look forward to my next visit. Next time I go, I want to build a lightsaber.
Just got back from Batuu east a week ago and I wish I would have known about your channel prior. The one thing we did not take advantage of was the play app , totally wish we would have . I'm so glad to know that I am not the only one who was filled with emotion when seeing Batuu and the Falcon for the first time but building my saber and then hearing Master Yoda was the true test of " keeping it together " in front of my oldest daughter. Not sure I was completely successful in that .

Hi there Dan-o, droids, critters and fans. Making a May the 4th 2020 comment on behalf of my youngling and spouse. I have no idea when we will get to go back to Batuu. Luckily for us, we watched most of your videos before heading to Black Spires. You MADE our trip Magical. Since we wanted to visit again even-- if through the window of youtbe-- we decided to hop on your tour :) Best advice was to be kind and respectful of the folks we encountered. We went to Disneyland last fall. A combo of good luck, a little unexpected $ to add to the vacation budget and some district wide days off meant kiddos' (then 8yrs old) first visit ever happened to fall on the week of Halloween and Day of the Dead. We could only afford 3 days of one park tickets and had to plan carefully--- Did we get on every single ride we wanted? No. Were all the meals and shows and such perfect? No. (Food allergies- and windy nights... 'nough said). Did it bother us? No. Wanna know why? Because we rolled with it and were grateful that the top of the Wishlist items (Fancy tea for mum, Build a Droid for kiddo and Saber for dad) worked out so splendidly. Mostly thanks to great advice like Dan-O's and some added planning. The remainder of our good fortune was a willingness to embrace the Disney magic. By far, the best memories were small moments and the generosity of the folks at the Park. Kiddo walked into Star Wars in her NASA jumpsuit on Halloween and EVERY single park person we encountered totally got that she was gonna pilot a space craft. Chewie took extra time helping kiddo with the controls to her self -built droid (she saved allowance for 2 months for her treats). Hubby and kiddo had a wonderful time at Savi's and have become saber enthusiasts thanks to a lovely lady (who strongly resembled MIL / Nana) who lead the gathers. I could go on for pages. Suffice to say, all of your 20 tips and the 20 or so times we watched your videos were worth it! I know 2020 isn't what any of us hoped for or expected. However, I hope all of you and yours have what you need to keep safe and be well. To Dan O and all the lovely Disney folks. Thank you, I hope we can meet again someday. Take care, HD
Thanks for this! Going for the first time in 2 weeks! I hope the crowds are down some... I got a reservation for savi's, but couldn't get one for the Cantina.
dude, thank you for this video. me and my mom have been wanting to take my nephew to disney and this park is a must and it's great to know you can make reservations for things cause the lightsaber workshop is why I want to go.
Tip: wear outfit fitting for Star Wars. I wore Anakin Skywalker Jedi outfit, and got extra action from stormtroopers. Lol. Tip: The Rise of the Resistance ride is epic! A must to do. Must arrive before park opens to get a boarding pass. Tip: reservations for Savi's workshop and Oga's Cantina fill up 30 to 60 days in advance. Must Reserve way in advance. Tip: parking is $25. Or Use ride share or uber or lyft or stay at hotel that has shuttle service. Tip: bring snacks and water bottle in the park. Free water bottle fill-up. Tip: try going in late winter or early spring to avoid Florida heat. Anaheim has great weather all year round. Tip: fast pass fills up 30 days early, Reserve best rides early. Then arrive before park opens and do rope drop to your first ride that is also long line. You can literally hit the four best rides in two hours if timed correctly.
Planing ahead is one the most important one I have to save up and plan what I want kind of hard though since I’m Canadian the difference in Canadian and American money but so far it’s 1500 I have to save
Very useful video thanks Dan-o. I think I’m well prepared. I have already secured 12 crystals & both holocrons. I have a revervation for Savi’s and 3 for Oga’s. I know where they keep the Spira at WDW (resistance outpost). I have a list of must haves and an order of what shops and areas to visit. I think I’ll leave the ride for later in the day and use the single rider a few times. Wish me luck!
I glad your videos are good I know I will not be able to go to galaxys edge initial later in life but thank you for letting me get in on some of the experience
Thank you so much.. yeah my wife and I were planning on spending $1000 just on souvenirs but we did not count for food. So thank you for that. We havent gone yet or even attempted to go due to lack of funds. We live about 8 hrs from Disney World so we want to have as much money as possible so we can enjoy everything there is to do at Galaxy edge and at Hollywood Studios alone. Rock and Roll Rollercoaster is one of my favorite rides which might change when we get to Galaxy Edge. My wife used to work there until her mom got sick and she had to move back.. but its awesome to go anytime we wanted pretty much and I myself thought about applying and try to be a stormtrooper I think that would be the coolest but also one of the sweatiess and hottest job to do but well worth it. I give all the cast members props for what they do. A lot of them especially the ones behind the scenes dont get enough credit. But I love my job and dont see leaving it anytime soon. I wish we had a kid because i would love for him or her to dress up and do the whole jedi academy thing that I have seen in other videos. We are hoping to go sometime next year hopefully or the year after on an off season so it's not too crowded or too hot. Thanks again man. You help out a lot!
Just want to point out you should read Phasma before you read Galaxy's Edge: Black Spire, for anyone not familiar with the book order. Since I may only get one shot at it, I've not gone to GE yet as I'm waiting for the hotel to open to get the full full experience, and it's killing me waiting. These will be helpful tips. I do wish Disney had a better way to see what everything will cost you in advance. There are lots of things you don't get when using their trip planner. For instance the price of the photo pass and the fact that you need one to get the photos is not prominent. I think most of the merch prices are pretty stable now too so it would be nice to be able to see those. I know some of the food items and things the prices are still in flux as supply and demand is realized. Bright Suns, and may the force be with you always.

@@JudaiVox
bb works better over rough terrain
but can be unstable during
direction changes
r units can move quickly and turn around easily while maintaining stability
but they can have potential difficulty over rough surfaces
r units work best on solid ground
like roads and tiles and low cut grass
and some carpets
bb units are capable of traversing
soft surfaces like sand and gravel
and taller grass and thicker carpets
I might get a BB unit since there the closest to looking like the actual Droid R-Series looks to small which makes it look really strange to me
I did some of those tips, here at Disneyworld.
-budget my money
-made a list of items I wanted
-made reservation for savi's wookshop
-early admission
“You can bring outside food”
Me: just bring your whole kitchen

Tip: fast pass fills up 30 days early, Reserve best rides early. Then arrive before park opens and do rope drop to your first ride that is also long line. You can literally hit the four best rides in two hours if timed correctly.
Planing ahead is one the most important one I have to save up and plan what I want kind of hard though since I’m Canadian the difference in Canadian and American money but so far it’s 1500 I have to save
great video, thank you for the info!
Thank you for this video! I hope i will go there one day and if I do, this will bi very helpful!❤️ may the force be with you
The chances of me not crying while being in a full set based on my entire childhood are very slim... Do or Do not, there is no "cry"
Excellent video Dan-O
Great video & tips!
I am watching day 3 vlog of galaxys edge I am watching the part when you are building the light sabers
That's me walking across at the 7:20 mark lol

Going in March for the first time ever! I’m so excited!!!! What legacy lightsaber do you recommend? I’m thinking either anakins or Darth Vader!
