After laying out all my Epic Pike & Shotte figures I have paionted or collected so far, I thought I'd have a game. Nothing organised, just what I had to hand with a simple mission to capture a crossing point. It was great fun!

For the ranges, i think in terms of frontage. For both epic battles and my normal 28mm figures, a standard unit is typically 180mm. So i dont mind ths range. And it makes sense that a cannon could fire over a few fields.

Lovely looking table. I have a large 28mm ecw collection but still tempted by this scale for kitchen table type games. Love the spectacle of 28mm but it is basically a display/multiplayer game at 28s
28mm is always my first love but these smaller scales are effective and easier for most games
So happy to see epic done, I've really enjoyed playing epic scale as I'm new to historical wargaming and warlords box sets been great entry
it certainly is and I think gives a very nice game. I am a fan of the 28mm version but this works very nicely and the barrier to entry is lower!

On the ranges, cm would be better but what about movement? Many Thanks 😊👍
yeah the ranges are odd, they seem fine for artillery but terrible for muskets. Buit then if we went cm it would make movement terrible....

@BootsontheTable mine were rolling great the first half of my game on Monday. But then the odds struck back, and I nearly thought about changing them to the green or red dice :)
