I will watch your batrep for sure, also it's about time for another Picket's Charge, Mathilda's Field helped me with a lot of the rules and great fun to watch.

I admire those committed enough to paint these beautiful armies. Looking forward to the battle report. March to the fire of the guns !

Great video, i must dig out my stuff again for this, I really enjoyed the game. I found the combat sequence and cohesion test maddeningly difficult to explain, but so easy when you actually do it during a game. Cheers for the vid, looking forward to seeing a battle report.

Great intro to the rules. Not sure I’m ready for the period but more knowledge is always better than less.

One of my favourite sets of rules and have used them to play ECW, TYW and large Polish Deluge style games with my mate Nathan. Highly recommended and I look forward to seeing a Batrep.

Extremely helpful presentation, the English of the rules is a bit dense but this explains them very clearly. I have to give Baroque another chance.

Some very nice figures to look at ;)

Thanks for this. Just a thought but if you are using the 18cm frontage, it might be more convenient to use a BU of 10cm. It would be easier to measure and make no practical difference.

Yes,.. I had considered that but considering I wanted to be as accurate as possible with my description of the rules I saw no point in confusing the issue. Without doubt if I had gone down that path I would have got someone saying I’d corrupted the rules 😁😉👍

Another excellent video..watched it twice! Oh, and your ECW and TYW figures look pretty good too. So I'm a BIG ECW and even a Grand Alliance fan. It's hard to find some good rules for this period(s). I did find a pretty cool set called "Push-of-Pike" from the mid 90s. The author was from Australia, from New South Wales. These were my go-to rules for the period. Used a card system and Average dice. So with all that being said, I'm looking forward to your game play video. I do like the special characters you can add into the game...love narrative games...thus a BIG fan of the Lardies rules. Again, great video...keep 'em coming.

The author of ‘Push of Pike’ also owned ‘DAGGER TERRAIN’ and was a mate of mine. For the life of me I can’t remember his name. Nice bloke

@@CheckYourLeaderTV On the back page of the rules cover, his name was Craig Burnett. I sent him an 'ol school letter about his rules, and later were did a few emails. Haven't heard from him since about 20 years now. But he was very happy I liked his rules and sent me a second copy. Have you played them before?

Nicely explained, even if you are a drop short! 😅😉. I have the rules but never played them, I do have two painted and based Nine Years War armies in 10mm which would fit into this period.

English civil war armies were smaller than , say 30 years war armies this could cause problems?

I can’t see how,… the armies are point based.
