We have always liked TGI Fridays - It our go to chain restaurant if we fancy this type of food. Its a bit like Hard Rock Cafe, you generally speaking will always get a decent meal with great service. I agree the service makes a whopping big difference. I loved that you tipped her 10pounds, that will have defo made her day.
A few commenters criticise the price of the food which I would agree if it was takeaway and you had to eat it huddled under a leaky bus shelter to try to keep dry avoiding heavy rain, but this isn’t the case. The ambiance in the restaurant looked warm and comfortable and if you enjoyed the generously portioned food and terrific service in comfort, then the £27.15, including the tip was money well spent. As there was nothing to complain about, a score of 9.5 is fair. You left happy and with the generous tip you left for Tia you spread some love and kindness, it made her day so well done. In her case, not so much TGI Friday, but TGI The MacMaster!!!
Never been to Tgi's but I believe it really makes a difference if the person serving you has a good attitude, it puts you at ease and in a good mood to enjoy your food 👍🏻😊
Always enjoyed them here in the States . I also like a regional version here in Ohio called Max and Ermas . My favorite is their “ Garbage Burger “ with literally EVERYTHING!
Lee. My reversing sensors don't pick up tow bars or the rear bumpers on the 'monster trucks'. Many accidents with caravan cars without the caravans lol!!!
I used to go to TGI Fridays a lot when I was younger and my biggest memory of them is the burgers were always really good...and this one's no exception. I rate the burger 8.5 out of 10.

It's been a long time since I ate at tgi I used to go to the one in birstall in leeds. The burger looked amazing. I did recently have an incident in my car where I reversed and i heard a noise from the back of my car. My sensors didnt come on nor did my screen change to camera. My first thought was ruddy nora. Lol. Great video Lee finally no service charge. Gets my vote I give a 9.6. Taj
I’ve not been to a TGIs for a while but as far as chains go I do think it’s one of the better ones! I fully expected the score to be high, and as I’ve commented before the attitude of the staff does make a BIG difference and good on you for leaving a good tip, I completely agree that if someone has not only made you feel so welcome but has also advised customers how to get the best out of the menu/prices then not only do they deserve a tip they should get a pay rise! Tia, well done!

Hi Lee, the beginning of the vlog on the M1 ,you might have put the Porche thru its paces in the passing lane,I bet there is speed cameras though. Regarding, tgif there's one every say 20 miles in Nj, there's one in the next town,I never had a bad meal there also the service is always top notch. One of the better and consistent chains.You lived in NJ? Who knew.
I haven’t done a TGI since I was last in Florida ten years or so ago. I do enjoy them and that chicken burger you had looked wicked much better than Ramsey’s effort. Fries looked good too and it’s probably how I remember them in the USA. Cracking review as ever MM.👍
I've not been to TGI Fridays in 30 years. back then the staff where on Roller Blades & used to say Hi I'm your server & the Music was way to loud everyone was shouting to each other cause it was that loud. Looks Good to me 9/10 Went to TGI in Birmingham just before Christmas and had the Beef Burger 8/10, I find the service is generally good at them all. Visited TGI in Cairo a couple of years ago , great location on the Nile.
Suggestion! Damon’s in Lincoln. Haven’t been there for many years. It was one of the first places in the UK serving barbecue ribs. I think the idea was to become a chain. That didn’t work out, but it’s still there, because it’s so popular. Just off the ring road from your direction. Even the building is based on a rack of ribs!

I like TGI’s their sesame chicken strips are amazing. That burger looked great with a decent piece of chicken. My sister lives up there and we go to Meadowhall all the while. They do have a TGI Friday in the oasis in Meadowhall too but didn’t know they had re vamped the other one. I would give it an 8.5

Hello lee I forgot to tell you about parking your car when you start reversing the car parking sensors will start beeping short beep just say then a brick wall behind you the closer you get beeping sound will get longer sound it telling you you are getting closer to the brick wall then you must stop and the beeping sound will stop as well you can use your reverse camera as well some cars got front and back parking sensors hope the information about the parking sensor will help you
Burger looked good to be fair, not overloaded with toppings. Drive past this TGI's every day going to and from work, might call in and try one on my way home next week.
On my experience at the one inside meadowhall. I'd have rated mine as a 2. It was cold the service was slow . The burger I had was child size and there where about 10 fries on it. And expensive. I for one will never go back.
Ever been in a TGI Fridays kitchen ? One large deep fat fryer, one industrial microwave and a freezer...and they have the audacity to refer to the bloke operating them as a chef !!
Great to see that some of the chains can still deliver the goods. Haven't been to a TGI for a while and may well do so now. Pizza Express is another chain that consistently delivers. As do McDonalds and KFC to be fair. Other chains are just junk so its great to see a good experience called out.
Haven't eaten in TGIs since pre pandemic. They always came across as loud and party style. Looking quieter on ur visit. Service is so important to great to reach out and mention it, reward too. Food did look nice so a 9 and no service charge so pretty good 👍
Franchises differ a lot, I wouldn't eat on my own at my local TGI as it's not brilliant but the kids love it. Have to say, your burger & fries looked very good, would gladly have paid that for it and the service with a smile.
I went to the first UK TGIs back in the 80's. It used to be a real hive of activity. Shame they did away with the "massive onion" though. If you know, you know;)

it would be wrong for us to paint all chain restaurants with the same brush. on this day, at this time all the pieces came together and Lee Davey had a meal worth talking about. I pause several times during the video and read the menu it seems they care and want people to have a good time. and tomorrow will be a new day and Lee Davey will have a new adventure.

We don't have a tgi FRIDAYS here in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada; what we do have, though, is 3 "Tim Horton's" restaurants - a Canadian chain of fast food/doughnut places.
