Thank you for the mission, You know who you are.
Hey LongShot, your scene changing from internal view to external view to target view is really great. It gives your videos kind of a cinematic feeling.
@@ziadajam5433 😂. I did not marvel at the engineering while safety wiring the gun shutoff valve on the AV-8B. What a fucking pain! They are absolutely amazing machines and I get what OP is saying. They just suck to work on.
So all you gotta do is dodge all the SAMs and Air-to-airs while you take out bandits, Sam sites and Early-warning radar...? ...Piece of cake! That's my LongShot - NEVER takes the easy route! 😆😆😆 GREAT mission and I probably enjoyed it art least as much as you did!
@@LongShotChannel No - thank YOU. As a subscriber from way back, even though I've had no part in it, I am SO proud of the growth and improvement of your content. I simply love your stream-of-consciousness play-by-play and how successfully it manages to put me in the cockpit with you. This is NOT flattery - it''s like nothing I can find anywhere else. (Whenever YOU are surprised, you should see how high I jump!) Anyway- Thanks.
Taking those aircraft on their takeoff was exquisite! Well played. This is among the best missions I've seen. Whoever created this deserves credit, I'd love to see more from them.
I was in Cold Lake Alberta. It's enough north there is no commercial air traffic. US had their own barracks on the Base. And it was all day American F16's and Canadian F18's. Would end at about 11 pm doing runups.
If I remember right, the AGM-88 had a memory that allowed it to remember the location of the radar after it quit emitting. That and its higher speed is why it replaced the AGM-45 Shrike.
Ive never seen your DCS videos before now. I like the effort you put in to the cinematics and external views as I know how frusterating getting those from the track file can be. Solid work, wonderful video 👍
Great video! Though I wouldnt say the viper’s the best considering the fact that a hornet could have done that with more fuel and a jammer on board. But hey to each their own
That was a cracking mission. Qudos to the guy who designed it. Equally chapeau to Longshot for effective mission completion. The aircraft management looks so complicated. What I'd like to see someday is you flying a Bomb Cat mission. Please 😊😊😊
Did i see LS "zooming" in with the TGP as he set targets for the gbu's? More than the narrow/wide? Appreciate confirmation and any how-to instructions. Cool mission! Nevermind.. found it. Man Rng... sweet
I thought the HARM remembered the place where the radar emissions are coming from? Even if it is turned off after being detected by the HARM , it should still hit.
Even though the F16 is 45 years old and still the most widely used aircraft amongst our allies I believe that the F 15 is the best fighter ever built. That is just my opinion of course.
Hey ... Can u beat an s300 alone without any air cover or other air defence system ?? And u must be also alone... I would like to see a mession like that
Turning off the radar and running, assuming the missile hasn't marked their location and is tracking it. The missiles are usually a separate unit being fed guidance by the radar.
I just downloaded DCS, and I'm about to buy the F-16 viper, and the Cliff3 pack. Is that a good choice? They are both half price because it's a new account.
You only need your Radar till you launch. After that shut it off. Unless the targets moving, he is dust. He can even turn off his emitter (radar or tracking system) its too late, reality. Thats how Agm88s work. I don't know who told you that you need your radar on for a harm to hit. It will go to last known spot. Unless the target moves, its dust. The Radar does not need to see you.
idk. the F16 and 18 is having some issues, when it comes to radar, and locking. the rcs and radar range/alt penalty, plays a huge part of this. same goes to ECM. They are very good ground pounders. but the AA aspect, can be misleading. sometimes i wonder if it is best to just play the stable version of DCS
It seems like the IRL score is one Kinzhal destroyed and one Patriot missile launcher damaged (the rest of the components are reportedly fine). But yeah, it would be cool to see a LS video with the Patriot, especially that now we have a modern version of the Patriot in DCS thanks to a mod from CurrentHill. There could also be a SEAD mission against the modern Patriot as a challenge. Btw. There’s also an Iron Dome mod from the IDF Mods Project which might come in handy since LongShot often flies in Israeli liveries. Update: Ukraine claimed it downed six more Killjoys
@@MaxIsStrange1 It is not damaged it is destroyed. If it were really damaged then US govt would not hv ack that. If you look that PAC-3 launch video you can see that a large explosion on PAC-3 site. Which further confirmed that it was not "damaged " but brutally destroyed by mach 10 projectile. Russ launched only two hypersonic missile. (Ukraine claimed they intercepted 6 mach 10 missile yet in the later video they showed only one destroyed missile nose that doesn't look like Kinzhal either). PAC-3 launched total 32 missiles in response (some reports says 30 missile) against subsonic missile, Shahid drone and two mach 10 projectile. Interception of kinzhal warhead is not that easy. It has thrust vectoring system to follow zig-zag pattern with extreme G-force.
@@ritabratagoswami7724 All elements of a Patriot site are placed miles away from one another just in case something like that happens. To the best of my knowledge, there’s no solid proof whether what hit near that Patriot launcher was an intact missile or maybe, for example, that thing could have been hit by the interceptor earlier but it was not destroyed completely and it still hit near the target, etc. I think that such a version of events is possible because it doesn’t seem reasonable to assume that the Russians intended to hit a single launcher (of 6-8) instead of the radar or the communications vehicle (hitting those things would disable the whole site, and hitting a single launcher can’t). Just in case, in the debris that Ukraine showed, the thing that people claimed is the “wrong” nose cone is most probably an internal part shielding the warhead, and the actual nosecone was shattered by the hit-to-kill PAC-3. I genuinely have no idea where people take the supposedly exact numbers of missiles launched, the interceptors launched, etc. from. Neither side announces such things (understandably) and there’s no way for some civilian to sit exactly in the right spot for weeks to count all the unexpectedly launched missiles, etc. In general, it’s beneficial to read a variety of sources, not only the ones you personally agree with. Pro-Russian sources, for example, often say that Ukraine claimed something but when you try to find the full original quote it turns out that it either doesn’t exist or the “sources” added a few sentences, or even paragraphs.
@@ritabratagoswami7724 Correction: I hadn’t read the newest reports by the time of writing my previous comment. Turns out that you were right about Ukraine claiming to have shot down six more Killjoys and I was wrong. Sorry about that.
Next time ADD some MANPADS and Radar Guided AA....in order to make it a real world situation. I have a feeling you would have been shot down close to the airfield more than once.

Your videos are really fun to watch! Thank you for all the effort. Would you consider sharing the mission?
That missle shot POV was awesome ! It shows how fast they are and the F-16 got small so fast. Thanks for that, LS !

Fantastic. Really enjoyed watching this without the knowledge that you had built the mission and therefore knew exactly what would happen

Couldn't you simply go down and gun the Migs on the runway?
