I just picked up a 2006 ZX600J (Same thing as the 00-02 ZX6R) and I am astonished at how much I enjoy this bike. It's my 4th bike so far and it's my favorite. Everything you said was on point brother.
Christopher Sutter Yes it is a great bike. I'm riding a '03 GSXR 750 now, although the power is a big difference the comfort level that I talk about in the video is realized every time i ride for more than an hour, the ZZR is WAY more comfortable! Also I miss the gas mileage of the ZZR, i only get about 130 miles on the Gixxer and I need to look for a gas station, I'm getting about 35 MPG if i drive like a grandma.
tonyinfinity Dam that is sad, I want to go to the zx14 next year I just want more power and speed I got my zzr to 165 and sky-walked it to 175 behind my friend on his R1. My zzr makes at least 160 miles to the tank with reserve on AND me driving like I stole it, but comfort wise I love Kawi's just for that I'm a big guy and never have ridden on anything else more comfortable! Small and only wish is, I wish it was fuel injected.
Gorgeous looking bike. I'm in the market for my first bike, came close to a zx10r yesterday on trade with a guy but decided against it because I know myself too well, and 175hp to the ground for my first bike is ridiculous. I'm 6'2" 220 and I've been looking for something fairly comfortable to commute an hour to school on each day and the ZZR seems to be just the right bike. Thanks for posting the vid, sorry you you don't have her anymore. Thanks for the review.
You literally described my situation. Just looking for a replacement bike, last bike was an Interceptor (93 750) thinking about the ZZR600 last minute decision lol
I have an '05 and I have to agree with you, you definately get your money worth. I still can't get over how comfortable it is on long rides. Unfortunately I'm selling to get a Harley.
Nice Bike, been looking for a upgrade for me, and so far the only bike within 100 miles that is priced right is a '07 zzr so that is probably what im getting soon.
I got the same bike $4500 April 2010, with less than 500 miles. Right off a repo agent lol Love it put on 8000 miles and i'm in MN so riding season is cut in half :( Just got my new tires in, waiting for the damn snow to melt!
Well, I've decided to keep it. Doesn't make sense getting rid of a bike that is paid off and I enjoy so much. Just ordered a Yoshimura RS3 slip on, smoked LED taillights and smoked flush mounts for the front. Ride on brotha!!
I have a 2007 kawa zzr600 paid 4`800 bucks no dings or dents, I ask why so cheap, dealer said they don`t make them anymore, and I don`t no why.. And the bikes looks and runs great. I get comps from everyone and everywhere.
Nice bike bro congrats!!! Yea i've had mine for awile they are very comfy but would like maybe a corbin or gel seat for the longer rides. I like the smoked tail light is it bright enough? Have fun riding later...
@papercut272 What do you mean it "turns off" the bike? If its running and warmed up, the choke can kill the engine, but it needs to be started with the choke in the morning if its cold.
@tonyinfinity i figured it out, i was turning the bike on first, then trying to move the choke down, which turns off the bike, but im supposed to have it off first, then move the choke down, then turn it on. :P its my first bike, i been riding for about two weeks and i got my knee down several days ago, and now i upshift without clutch and downshift with blips, and i want an r1 now. (wheelies dont handle good on these bikes btw, i tried today)
Nice bike im buying a 08 zzr600 rigth now for 3200 with less then 3000 miles on it bad thing tho its missing the front fairings i like the blue color it has but i wanna change it to white pearl or jst white but nice bike n safe ridin man
I've been looking for a windscreen that size for the zzr but I can only find smaller versions. Any chance you can tell me where to find the exact screen on your bike.
Ahh. I like it though. Fast enough for me for now. It's comfortable to ride. I'm 47. My previous bikes back-in-the-day were an '86 Interceptor 500, and a '92 FZR 600, so this is the fastest I've owned :)
@DarKRid3R21 That's a long distance on any bike in a day, how many days in a row are you going to ride that far? It's a comfortable bike but i wouldn't be putting those miles on it every day. My aprilia RST1000 is more suited to ride 200-300 miles a day.
Just bought mine zzr600 silver in color, It's my first bike and everyone keep telling the bike is too powerful for me. I've yet to ride cause i'm still waiting for the endorsement on my licences . Any advice before i hit the road......i'm just little nervous
Sadly i sold the ZZR, i still think it's a great bike but just not what i need anymore. I needed to get something with hard cases and able to do some long trips, so now I'm the proud owner of an Aprilia RST1000.
LOL, I have that identical stand, black widow, right? AND that exact bike, but mine is a 2008 and also in Ebony, but I bought mine from a crate and paid the FULL price .
@tonyinfinity No I'm not going with the hype. I've had my bike for 2 years and I'm ready for something different. Don't get me wrong, I love my bike and I may even keep it when I do get the Harley.
insurance wise this bike does NOT fall into the super sport class. it is considered a sport tourer i love mine insurance is very cheap compared to the super sports and it is almost as fast
@icool I called progressive today (I'm getting a 08 zzr6) they told me 110$ for the minimum or close to 900$ for full coverage and I'm a 22yr old guy & I took the MSF? safety class in the state of indiana just as a idea
@95beretta Why are you going with a Harley? I hope you're not just following the hype for the name. Everyone i know who has owned a Harley has regretted it. And they all ended up learning the hard way. It's one thing if you start off with a Harley, you don't realize the difference, but if you've own Japanese first it's a big difference. Their reliability sucks, and the vibration on the Harley is going to kill you, and the money just isn't worth it in my opinion. But i hope it works out for you.

Abid Ali ey does the fairings for on each other?
I love this bike, had it for almost a year now
I always liked this bike, I always watched this video when I had my ZZR. I sold that and bought an SV1000 a month ago. I still miss the ZZR though.
Great bike. one of the best in my opinion. the trispoke rims look great.
Nice bike man, I just got a 2000 zx6r its such a awesome bike , gotta love Kawasaki !
Bought one of these Brand new in 2007, got 12,000 miles on it. totally agree with everything this video said. Great bike.
Getting it as my second bike can't wait..my first was a 250..hopefully get some videos done here in hawaii..
I love this bike got mine in November already put 6k mile on it and putting more everyday. The bike is just amazing!

i just discovered one of these on craigslist, hoping to get it for my first sport bike
Looks great!
You literally described my situation. Just looking for a replacement bike, last bike was an Interceptor (93 750) thinking about the ZZR600 last minute decision lol
Picking mines up this weekend 2008 zzr600 it needs new fairings and that's it
I have an '05 and I have to agree with you, you definately get your money worth. I still can't get over how comfortable it is on long rides. Unfortunately I'm selling to get a Harley.

Nice bike man Yea i like the ZZr's...I have a 06 not as nice as urs but i have fun with it. Congrats on ur new bike.
@ironaddict11 There called double bubble, made by Zero Gravity, you can probably find them through Dennis Kirk or ebay. Hope that helps.
@Skut21 The tail light is LED, it's bright enough, although it's not "DOT legal".
Well, I've decided to keep it. Doesn't make sense getting rid of a bike that is paid off and I enjoy so much. Just ordered a Yoshimura RS3 slip on, smoked LED taillights and smoked flush mounts for the front. Ride on brotha!!

omg it has the same axhaust i have on my -90's zzr 600, i tought some one wanted more sound and switched it at some point :D
Nice bike bro congrats!!! Yea i've had mine for awile they are very comfy but would like maybe a corbin or gel seat for the longer rides. I like the smoked tail light is it bright enough? Have fun riding later...
Nice valve caps :)
@papercut272 What do you mean it "turns off" the bike? If its running and warmed up, the choke can kill the engine, but it needs to be started with the choke in the morning if its cold.
Pleaseeeee tell me where (or how) you got your fender eliminator kit! I hate the big fender look on my ZZR. Thanks! And good looking bike
@tonyinfinity i figured it out, i was turning the bike on first, then trying to move the choke down, which turns off the bike, but im supposed to have it off first, then move the choke down, then turn it on. :P

Sweet.

I like your bike. I have a question, is a good bike for long road? about 400-500 km per day. expect a response. thank you
Man I love mine I bought an 08 from an old guy that that put 750 miles on it
I've been looking for a windscreen that size for the zzr but I can only find smaller versions. Any chance you can tell me where to find the exact screen on your bike.
Where did you get your tires from, I have the same bike, I can't find a set
Sounds about right
@tonyinfinity Once a week. i don't know. but on holiday I want to make longer trips
so is this like with a FZ6 performance wise?
I just hot one just like that! Stock signals and pipe so far though. Did the yosh pipe help with power?
Pipe was on it when i bought her. Don't expect alot of extra power, it's mostly for a better sound.
Ahh. I like it though. Fast enough for me for now. It's comfortable to ride. I'm 47. My previous bikes back-in-the-day were an '86 Interceptor 500, and a '92 FZR 600, so this is the fastest I've owned :)
@everss02 Thats a great deal.
....and a great bike!

i got the 06, it has trouble starting up early in the morning, what do i do?
How much would insurance be on this bike?
Is it fuel injected?
if i may ask how much do. pay for insurance a month?
Thats the bike i want.
LOL, I have that identical stand, black widow, right? AND that exact bike, but mine is a 2008 and also in Ebony, but I bought mine from a crate and paid the FULL price .
Ey . I got a question does the fairings for a zx6r 2002 fit on the zzr6 2006
Yes, same bike
SUPERNOVA what about a zxr600- j I just found out that's what my bike is
@papercut272 Use the choke. :P
I have the same bike myself. I wanna make mine just like that. I like the way it is. (Mods) I just don't know where to get all that
rene ortiz Most of these you can get on Ebay., taillight, windshield, LED lights, and probably the pipe too.
@tonyinfinity No I'm not going with the hype. I've had my bike for 2 years and I'm ready for something different. Don't get me wrong, I love my bike and I may even keep it when I do get the Harley.
What brand is that tank bag?
MotoCentric , i believe it's the Moto 19 model. Motorcycle superstore.com has them.
@tonyinfinity the choke turns off the bike
insurance wise this bike does NOT fall into the super sport class. it is considered a sport tourer i love mine insurance is very cheap compared to the super sports and it is almost as fast
Comfortable? Where?
Everywhere, beats any newer sport bike by far! Ride an R1 and then this you'll see
@icool I called progressive today (I'm getting a 08 zzr6) they told me 110$ for the minimum or close to 900$ for full coverage and I'm a 22yr old guy & I took the MSF? safety class in the state of indiana just as a idea
@alanzook MotoCentric Mototrek 19
